  1. Can the different hull unlocks that are the exact same hull, just with a bigger displacement be merged into a singular hull unlock, but work like cruisers and destroyers and the bigger displacement allowances be what you unlock. It's annoying thinking you've unlocked a new hull, but in reality, you're just redesigning the same hull but bigger again
  2. Gutted the downloads don't work and i didnt back up the mod like a eejit before trying 1.4, which i didn't try cause campaign loading is insane, and this ain't the 1980's cassette gaming era no more
  3. Campaign doesn't load and crashes if I try do anything other than watching the loading screen. And there's no way i'm sitting watching that screen for 20-30 minutes, if loads times reported are accurate now.
  4. Can confirm, 1920's Austrian light cruisers 2 & 3, only fit 7 inch as minimum also
  5. Yeah the repair broke it, annoying really, as all these little patches don't change or fix much. Much respect for how often you have to update the mod for us
  6. The 1.3.9.8R version for just the rebalance (Not resizer) is grey screening on start up for me.
  7. Don't know if this class as weird, but I don't often see them built like this in SS's or on the youtubes.
  8. Agreed, people may moan battles aren't common enough if war n peace were done better, but to those folks I say, use the custom battles. Other issue is even in war, the AI isn't too bright, BB's are always left unprotected unless it's a doom stack with ships everywhere because TB's, DD's & CL's charge headlong at a fully functional undamaged player fleet, and given most of us by now know how to build ships that devastate the AI's designs. They get themselves destroyed for what 1 or 2 torpedo launches at best normally. Maybe keep them as Screen ships somehow, and only try capitalise on damaged n slow player ships. Especially as I play BB only, there's no way little ships like that would charge 6 undamaged and heavily armed battleships
  9. Nations with huge towers are a ballache, especially as they don't add much vs like the Italians, who have small towers I believe. Either way, can defo fit more guns on some nations ships, cause the deck isn't 70% taken via two huge superstructures
  10. Only time I've noticed this is if they're auto targeting and the turn out of the firing arcs. Manually reaiming, sorts it out and sometimes, they'll just fire whichever way they got stuck pointing as soon as you do I ran BB only campaigns now, so the litter ship issues are no more
  11. lol that's exactly how I play. Normally have 3 fleets of 6 BB's and they wreck everything. Except I do min-max research and boost stuff, as the slow down doesn't apply to the research I want, as the way I boost it makes up for the few months lost boosting others. Priority to start is hull, control something n rangefingers. Bigger ship with accuracy, that's normally all ready for my first shipyard upgrade finishing, and the next generation of 6 BB's to be built. Next two years, is engine, funnels, guns, control n rangefinders. As soon as numbers appear on the research boost them. If no numbers are present boost the 3 next things you want. Within 6 years you've won, within 8 1/2 those 6BB's will have a 20k tonnage advantage and 16-18 12.9 fully extended barrels, with however many 6 or 8 inch secondaries fit. Times that by 6 BB's being in the battle, and the shells lobbed during a full 6 ship boardship, is a site to see
  12. It is kinda annoying I can't just say, research only 12 inch n 8 inch. I don't care it's 1940 Mr Prime Minister, the accuracy, fire rate and dps make this combo the only thing I want researching
  13. Also how does the AI's ships when they're split up around the north sea for example, all join up for a battle against one of your fleets, but that doesn't bring all your ships in that area to the battle also?
  14. If your fleets can defeat said stacks, do you not think you're responsible for the AI bringing so many, it has to try and defeat you afterall, and if you have ships capable of winning with those odds, if it used less ships, you'd probably be complaining the AI are too easy and their ships can't deal with yours. I've never once encountered fleets that big, because I don't use big fleets myself
  15. Also how are people getting the AI to come out with fleet sizes so big, I tend to only send a BB or two with 6-8 escorts and at most i've only ever been outnumbered by around 5-10 ships
  16. It may not be fun, but having so many little ships in comparison to capitol's is realistic. Wiki US fleet numbers 1945, little ships vs BB's has them outnumbered 35-1
  17. The stability and no crashing is such a welcome change. Surprising how much more enjoyable the game is when every end turn or built ship isn't a crash risk. Only thing I'd like to see when this goes live, is the option to speed up time no matter what. If I get my ships torpedo'd or sunk cause at x30 I'm too slow, that should be an option I have anyways. If your ship is even 1 knot slower, and they get away especially in the early era's with poor accuracy, unless you give up and instantly turn your engines off and turn around, you can be stuck at x5 speed for so long chasing nothing, waiting for the end battle to appear I imagine that's a really easy change, and I can't be the only person who would enjoy that Edit: tldr, Keep the auto slow down, but allow us to speed it back up again
  18. Sinking their old tech maybe, not unrealistic to have outdated and aged ships in ya fleet even today
  19. Does research that change stats affect the ships weigh or something without refitting? I can build a ship and have 0 offset, come back to actually do a refit and all of a sudden it's 70% off aft weigh wise
  20. Agreed the campaign gives a purpose to randomly building ships for battles, without it, I wouldn't be 70 hours in.
  21. Is this right for the 1920's? Just faced these CL's which were armoured to the point, even the biggest gun I could put on a French CA couldn't penetrate the deck armour unless at maximum range. You seem to be able to out armour the periods capability to pen it atm. Pics for example If I understand how you work out armour values right, 6 deck everywhere + 1.3 citadel armour = 7.3 x 143% armour bonus giving 17.6'' deck armour. Even with the build 100% towards penetration, a CA's biggest gun only stands a chance at max range with a lucky hit
  22. I've taken up to clicking as soon as I suspect it's crashed. It'll crash sooner, and tbh it's faster to just crash reload and end turn again than to wait to see if it resolves itself
  23. Is it just me or are the building ship crashes back to being really regular
  24. Agree with the main towers weight being way too much, from a quick google, the heaviest I saw mentioned was the massive superstructures the British ended up making and they were in the hundreds of tons range, not the 10000 ton range Short of sacrificing all the stats, you're hamstrung into taking up alot of your ships weigh just on the 2 towers and funnel, which really limits what you can build
