  1. While you have already done a very good job with the way reinforcements and reserves work, I think what some of us are missing is the ability to completely control these reserves ourselves. I'm sure you are starting to get bored with comparisons to the old SMG game, but one thing I feel they did very right, was letting the players be able to ''release'' reserves for a certain price. That way, we had to make decisions based on risks and rewards (Is releasing those reserves worth the potential reward? Can you afford to abandon their previous position? Etc.). IMO, the more freedom for the player, the better . As for the size of the map... I know you guys have a lot on your plate already, but I think offering some options at some point in time would enrichen the experience, especially for players who do have the proper specs .
  2. Fair enough, thanks for explaining! And of course, I agree that it's better to not rush things. I'm sure most people are pleased to hear that you are giving this matter a lot of consideration (at least I am) . Keep up the good work.
  3. Maybe slightly off-topic: I'm not sure if others are as bothered by this as me, but having your Corps Commanders in the front lines really kills alot of the realism for me... I'm pretty sure the only Corps Commander who consistently put himself in those dangerous situations was the famous ''Stonewall'' Jackson (do correct me if I am wrong). While it may be less ''effective'' in the game, I would rather just have them placed on a hill or ridge somewhere to observe and give orders from afar. Basically, I'm hoping for Divisional Commanders at some point .
  4. Isn't it possible to add a few graphics options, so that people can choose what's best for their own comps? Or is that a lot of work? (I honestly have no idea).
  5. I have to agree with this, the skirmishers and their ''kamikaze'' style is turning into a real problem. I'm not complaining because it makes the game harder, it's just that it's very unrealistic and shouldn't be happening IMHO . Also, the artillery is miles better now, but I find their LOS marker is still rather buggy (A lot of times, the artillery is firing on targets that are indicated to be out of their vision) Then of course the elevation issue is still there. It's still a bit** trying to place your artillery on high ground. Other than this, the patch did wonders. You've already come a long way. Good work!
  6. Yep, happens to me every now and then. For me, it's always on Day 3, and which side I play doesn't seem to matter.
  7. I think some of you are forgetting that this game is not finished yet. It's still in early access . As for Division Commanders, I'm fairly sure they already mentioned somewhere that they are working to get those in. I do agree that this whole ''auto-fallback'' mechanic is quite annoying though. It makes you have to babysit your units a whole lot more, which is not really a good thing in this context.
  8. ^This Particularly terrain hights, placing artillery is a bitch right now, lol . Other than that, I have to say I'm extremely impressed so far .
  9. I'm experiencing the same thing. My last post-game report was kinda funny. It looked something like this: Confederate Victory Points (me): 52000, Union Victory Points: 3500 Confederate casualties: 11008, Union casualties: 23150 Result: ''You have lost the battle of Gettysburg'' T_T Either I did something incredibly stupid, or it's bugged .
