  1. yes but right now they can produce that per year in 1920... that is way out of hand.
  2. On My machine penetrations improved drastically on the last patch. It is not anymore a case of TP beins immune to 15 inch shells.. Made the game playable again for me. On the campaign.. you really need to tone down the GDP bonus of democracies... yes they should be more effective, but US economy grew 14 TIMES in 20 years of my campaign while Russia grew.. 7%. That is bonkers. USA and UK have so much money that each one keeps fleets of 80-110 Battleships and another 400 ships each.. thy are fighting a non stop war for 9 years... every month some 10-16 battleships go to the bottom (and plus some 100 DD and TP )and they can keep up the production. That is absurd not even 1945 level USA economy should be able to handle that.
  3. That could help forcing AI to not make 50 DD for each cruiser.
  4. Explosions can and do go trough steel plates as long as the plates are not thick enough. On the case of small ships we have usually 0.1 inch plate and that would NOT stop the fragments of a 16 in ch shell. I just say that to not overly keep the mental focus on the battleships and forget that other scales also exist. I do not think explosions shoudl not propagate from super structures, I think that the bulkheads are the problem that they do not absorb enough
  5. Careful. that is not unrealsitic with tiny ships. If you hit the tower of a 800 ton DD with a 16 inch HE shell it is not unreasonable to blow up the ship.
  6. This update .15 destroyed the game once again. All the bugs from .11 returned. 15 inch shells have zero chance penetrating torpedo boats belts! I had 4 Battleships fighting 5 TP and 3 DD for HOURS, EVERY SINGLE shot that landed in the belt was blocked. I ended the battle with ZERO ammo on the main guns and had to kill the ships with the 2 inch secondnary guns Also once again Over pen and partial pens are INVERTED. I get partial pens with 15 inch guns against these DD and over pens with 2 inch guns Seriously I try to be supportive, but you guys need a minimum of quality control and have automated tests. Returning a bug from a previous version is not acceptable! AI is once again as mad for war as Conan the barbarian.
  7. Well smaller guns do cause more damage per minute against unarmored targets than large guns, and that is not wrong. Large guns exist to reach longer ranges and punch trough thicker armor. SO.. on what conditions more specifically you are seeing that?
  8. Sound almost realistic just got there a few years earlier than Real life.
  9. mm then I think I have not been facing it because I armor the front and back enough to not get full pens by most HE, then massive damage at those sections is rare for me. It makes sense that segments in citadel should only receive over damage from other segments within the citadel.
  10. That is why I think only apply them one after the order would be the best we could expect, at lest the most extreme issues go away.
  11. That does not compute (also you did not specify it was not fire) because flooding happens from penetrations under waterline and they only spread based on the bulkheads level. I NEVER had a flooding spread from the aft or front section to the citadel when I use the maximum bulkheads (and I do all the time so I might not notice a bug that happens in other scenarios). So maybe it is something wrong with the bulkheads mechanics? In your specific cases what are the bulkheads levels?
  12. It would need to be a chance in the game itself, but ideally each modifier should apply after the previous one. So 10% then another 10% is not 20% but in fact 19% over the original. That solves the problem of sudenly reaching zero on some values.
  13. more or less fire still is a problem. Although the components inside the citadel should indeed nto be damaged (just the ship before that stop being a ship and become a coffin)
  14. What age you are playing? I have been facing no such issues. My battleships are really impervious to CA weapons and I only need to avoid their torpedoes (in my case WW1 level tech). But I do use fore and Aft belt ALWAYS above 7 inch
  15. Not the buoyancy, but the behavior of the model in screen after combining the buoyancy with the movement. Because the final physics is not only buoyancy and ships moving into waves and absorbing the energy transfer of those is a different thing than just buoyancy.
  16. I would not say it learned how to win, most hat it learned to not lemming itself into the abyss at least.
  17. I am not sure how much this is true. The center is wider but is usually where heaviest machinery is so the resulting balance in motion would not look far from the simplification .
  18. I faced a bug yesterday in 3 different battles. When a ship turns due to the avoid torpedo button it never returns to formation.. it continues traveling LOCKED in that running away direction forever. I need to remove the ship from the formation toggle AI control on and off and then return to formation to make it usable again.
  19. reduce to cruise speed.. and how well balanced is your ship? BC are fast so the effect of pitch and roll instability are vastly exarcebated.
  20. Can you post your ship? As I said I am having no problem with cruisers as targets anymore (ok here and there some random shell is blocked but mostly are not). Yesterday a single dreadnought of mine sunk 17 CA.
  21. Overall I had a rather pleasing playtrough yesterday. Playing with Russia, legendary, 1900 start. One small problem, it immediately goes to 98.5 unrest so if ANYTHING happens in the first months your campaign ends in 1 semester. Might be good to tone down that. That said, passing that RNG part I am having MOSTLY combats that seem to work as I expected. Things that still need improvement. AI must try to push for larger battleships when it is able to.. USA had in 1912... well 134 Battleship. YEs 134 battleships (and 140 destroyers, so no, not more BB than DD) armed with 9 inch guns. It makes absolutely no sense to make that many battleships instead of some 30-40 GOOD battleships.
  22. yup, that was my suspect since my first time reporting it because ships without citadel never fail to explode under 12 inch guns. Well might be simply the case of citadels working as intended and just these are reported as overpens ( a missclassification issue). What that does not explain is why StoneoTriumph still face completely unpenetrable ships as if the fix had never happened. I do get some weird here and there blocks but they are rare enough that I take them as absurd position impacts that result in weird geometry of penetration.
  23. I do believe in the bug, because I faced it, what amazes me is why for me they were fixed (seriously yesterday I had an amazing sequence where 3 CA blew up 4 CL in less than 10 minutes (1908 tech). I am starting to believe there is more than one bug and possible related to tech level (I only ply up to 1917 tech level or something wrogn with the update process.
  24. THis is how the game felt for me last week before the last update. Now things work for me. What age you are fighting on? It might be something specific, as the last bug was related to the citadel inner belt. Or might be something that did not update correctly Also test from further away, around 4km. I noticed battleships higher level makes them have horrible shots at point blank range against smaller ships sometimes (but even with that problem my battleships usually murder CAs unless they are hit by torpedoes.
  25. What I think when I see the picture is that the pilots in foreground are all thinking.. shit shit shit.. i want be in the air before those start to land around THIS ship.
