My society still playing PotBS. But we stop doing any rvr because its pointless. Playing on Roberts - an EU server, anybody can flip your ports at night and in results PB will be at 1am GMT. |Thats wrong game mechanics but there is another issue: Tell me what fun is from playing like that? no oppononents = no fun, but rats on Roberts dont care they want just win:) Sad bunch of lossers. More funny is that one pirate society on their website calling people to win a map because nobody play anymore:) Tiphat

I know you guys focused on more important aspects now but will be great if you consider possibilty to make own sails and flags like it was in PotBS. Cheers

Hi all Want show ya all Gdansk (Danzig). Polish town with rich history representing typical Hanseatic architecture and Baltic Sea area. One picture show famous Gdansk crane dated build 1442-1444 year. Town was one of main trade port for Hanseatic League and after for Kingdom of Poland. There are some pictures below and plan of town from 1807 year. Cheers

One IP - one account. Thats it. Simples - cure for PotBS. Once again what the point doing RvR if your opponent log in on 5 accounts and nightflip port without single fight? What the point spending influence to take over important for nation economy ports when they will be bided by xteamers? What for go alone to red if in 90% you will be ganked? Plus sadly Portalusgames dont have manpower to fix that game...and listen their playerbase.My every single attempt to make own opinion of old forum was or deleted or my account was perma banned...Hope Game Labs dont copy this mistakes Cheers Bart

Hi all Is anyone still playing PotBS apart from lenin and his puppys? Sad that so many good players gone since game under portalus is sinking ...RvR is joke, PvP is a gankfest and now i read about some funny accuracy changes...Ill give one more try after they put new patch on live servers, cant be bother with test bed... Well i made this suggestions on PotBS forums but without any reply so i try here:P First as i understand that main focus is on ship combat which is great dont forget about "world map". I love idea put real world map with time frame limits of course and possibility of global economy making me shiver:P All aspect of trade between Europe and America could be nice and can bring new aspects to game like treasure conwoy or escorting tasks. Also i like idea of guilds (societies) in game, not sure that you plan make nations into game or some kind of RvR but i love see them as well. From more minor things could be nice for players make own flags or sail patterns or even clothing disigns for guilds! as we know this from PotBS. Sorry for compare so often to this game but at the moment there is no alternative age of sail mmo title. So i belive its a bit natural, plus many of your future players will be current or ex-potbs players for sure. Another reason is that some aspects from PotBS that may be implemented in Your game as well some bad which need to be avoid (like useless ships, broken group strength, etc) To keep in topic: (IF) there will be nations on Your game could be nice that they use own historical ships, like english player can use HMS Victory for example and french Le Soleil Royale ! Not sure it is possible but i think that could be interesting for gameplay. Ill keep fingers crossed for this project and see ya on sea asap!
