  1. I think for Coop, people don't only have to be another sea captain, but could also do leadership roles on your ship. Ex: all your friends can fill the roles of all officers, warrant officers, marine officer, etc.
  2. I think scurvy can work in this game and I will explain how. I believe every 20 minutes or so, 0.5% of your crew will go due to scurvy. To prevent this there can be a book or upgrade in which it help with vitamin C such as lemon juice. Or you can make for port in which the timer would reset due to the fact that you have fresh supplies. This would be a interesting idea to keep players on edge, and make ways for ports along there journey. It would be funny to see a ship out in sea slowly loosing crew due to scurvy and they are deep behind enemy lines so they cannot make port. I think this might discourage people from going to far into an enemy port as over time they will loose people. I also think said upgrade/book can help in melee combat as they will not be lacking in vitamin C and will have more energy, so possibly a slightly faster reload or better boarding actions would be cool if the players want something a little in return for just preventing scurvy. Another idea for attrition could be using the salt combined with provisions to make salted pork ect. If you have it in your inventory, maybe it can reduce scurvy by a few percent when the timer comes. Lay any thoughts down pls, and the timer and % does not have to be exactly that.
  3. Just like how you can have crew on your ship and there is a max capacity. It would be cool to add a prisoner cargo hold/brig. Once captured a ship, the remaining crew can be taken as prisoners of war(POW) and taken back to port to be sold back(by remaining crew, I mean the amount of crew there is before you break them such as they are 0 moral and you go for an attack) Depending on your ship, you can carry more or less POWs. I would also find it cool to have it where if an enemy ship has POWs and you capture the ship, you can replenish your own ranks using the POW. reasons : 1. It will promote people to capture a ship for a prize than sink(which was most of the case from my research) 2. A new source of money. 3. Would be funny for someone to bring a trade ship in a fleet for the soul purpose as a slave ship or prison ship. Anything else to add to this thread or thoughts would be nice.
