  1. well. being content complete will not save a game if it is bad.. if the game is a uncut gem some players will love seeing it early in rough form.

We plan to release as soon as we can in the early access form after UI is improved, boarding added and basic RPG (progression) is in place.

Yes, I badly expressed myself: I wanted to say a complete and stable contents (with least possible bug) for an early access of course... Normally, with what you showed us so far, this one is not supposed to be bad, at least, according to what I think of it.

  2. To a FSX or Ship simulator multiplayer focused game. CS GO could be a good alternative comparison.

I think if you want to do a open world, Planetside 2 or game like that is the best comparison.

Personally, I think that an open world is the best idea for NA. There is no similar game and it is exactly this innovation which makes so that this game is unique. According to me, if you want that Naval Action remains epic, brief, the best game which is, it is necessary to make at all costs an open world.

As an example, if you proceed by using dedicated servers, the game will be too common (the majority of the games proceed like that) and will engender, after a while (maybe a few years), a general disinterestedness of his community. A MMO is really the better thing to reunite a community, and in the end, make live the game.

  3. It is better to take the time to fully complete the game ... and then you will obtain a decent early access. The early access is the thing that will send a first impression to the players. If players are unhappy with this early access, they will have no expectations for the future. Otherwise, if the players are satisfied, this early access will give rather a perfect foretaste of the content that you want to offer, and it is exactly this perspective which will popularize, will make the game known.

  4. French is a must have language - as well as spanish and many others

we just don't have a french speaker who understands Age of Sail (yet) - team only speaks English, Russian and Ukranian right now.

If your team research a French translator, or at least someone who speaks French, I would be interested to help the development team.
