So I'm pretty sure when a ship is caught on fire or flooding alarms will start sounding. So in game I was thinking that when ever the ship your riding is on fire or flooding different alarms will sound for each one until the fire or flooding stops.

Until we'll have some damage control minigame, some single alarm on ship you currently control for atmosphere would probably be enough for me, or it may become really irritating really quick.

Another alarm I would like to hear is a torpedo alarm.

Now that alarm should yell all the way.

@Cptbarney proposed some poi-mod for dat and me likey 😁

One last alarm I would love to see is a General Quarters alarm.

    Positively love the idea.

Some horns would also be nice to hear. And, of course, AA sirens in the future.

UPD: collision alarm (video title is misleading)

Another thing they could add is the ability to lift up sunken ships from the sea bottom to restore them like the americans did at pearl harbour. This would only be possible in very shallow water. But i guess this is way to obscure a mechanic to implement.

And possibility to beach the ship to avoid sinking.

I feel if this game had a fully function modding and modding community it will last for years.

Community is the key, methinks: cult classics like original Fallouts and Jagged Alliance 2 got some tools developed by modders themselves, if I understand correctly.
I also very much hope for base game success - for Skycancer DLS.

Oh and also do the barrels textures as well.

Deck tecture sure looks amazing - so very cosy 🥰. I wish we can choose our ships flooring, affecting cost, visibility (option to soot the deck?), accomodation level and, perhaps, some level of prestige) and have option to remove wood panels during wartime to cut repair costs - that would be soo cool!

Srsly though - small detailes makes the ship. Hull names already been mantioned, I hope for some heraldy, ribbons/stars and kill boards one day.

I want aircraft carriers just so I can make AA ships.

    That.

I don't know how port defences will work in the campaign but I see myself converting old Pre-Dreadnoughts and eventually early Dreadnoughts into floating fortresses, Keeping their MB but having lots of AA guns and as much armour as possible

I hope for some mine warfare, so I could equip my ships with paravanes. And degaussers - the more I think about, fuze tech alone adds some much fun and gameplay diversity.

In general, I think more assets/models at this time should not be the priority over improvements to the ship designer itself. Of course, I'm thankful for quad turrets, but being able to put them and their barbettes precisely where we want them would be even better.

That's why I think they should have start with off-brand, modular hulls and components and add iconic ships later.

I also hope we'll have more control over hulls specs (and looks), like belt inclination, bow shape, welding etc.

Never actually played RTW, but enjoyed greatly reading the tech trees. Would be sad to just "research modern hull II" instead.

    The Japanese were developing a 72-cm torpedo (11.5 m long, weight 5mt, 850 kg warhead, rated for 54,000 m @ 40 kts)

Source? I only heard about 780 kg Long Lance variant.

Six-tube launcher also would be nice.

    would probably be optimal

Streamlined shells (I absolutely adore boat-tails), filler % (1,5-3% for AP, up to 15% for HE), dye (and perhaps tracers) color, fuzes (especially for torps).

For guns and mounts: damn RoF and traverse speed, reliability for both cases, barrel life (chrome plating and wear reduce additives), weight reducing tech, base accuracy of course, gain-twist and gradual rifling (dunno if it worked together, but I'm a greedy perfectionist).

Would be sad, if I'll have to simply mod meself some fancy stuff, for it is kinda unsporty.

I wish UA:D had the stuff (hulls, components, weight balance) to make this possible:

I wish designer to be more like LEGO and less like model kit. Pre-arranged superstructural gun placement is killing me 😒

Just acknowledge already that you simply want to build an ocean-going Imperial Star Destroyer ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Please... We won't agree on nothing less then Star Battleships with six-gun supahlazor turrets.

With proper flash protection this time, of course

Oh and for funnels that go inside the superstructure and some on the side of the ship for memes

    And triple superimposed side secondaries.

i want dem quad 9 inch secs, and quads and maybe even quintuple turret for all gun sizes and too be a cheeky barneh 21-22 inch gunz as well!

I was very tempted to give my BBs 8-inch secondaries — for better accordance to 4x4 20-inched main battery, but I think 6 inches are better DP-wise. Also, dat fat cases raining from above 🤔

That's no Mt. Fuji, that's IJN Fuji. Firing Long Lances. Also a french-style Tillman — cause three-gun look is most iconic 😎  Right now I hope for more control over muzzle velocity and rate of fire — thicc shells can be (reasonably) fast too 😭

hopefully we can get the modular system as well at some point.

Perhaps a line of off-brand, but maximum LEGO-esque hulls. Otherwise it's the same ship syndrome indeed.

    1 hour ago, Cptbarney said:

Also we need that improved armour system, viewer and also maybe better gunnery at lower ends (im pretty sure at ranges below 3km pre-dreads wouldn’t derp shells everywhere but the ship.)

Also more control over existing hull specs in general wound be welcome. Belt inclination or hydrodynamics for example — even if it's not backed up with visuals.

Close range could be counted with higher overpen chance, if they doing it "for balance".

Wow A-150 is only around da cornah.

Forget A-150, we now can fulfill Fujimoto's dream. With french turrets no less (I was extremely worried if we'll have such design). Now I can finally exhale in relief.

...when inhale and continue whining for 6-inch vertical quad secondaries, double superimposed central placing options for them, all-angle loading (you know, like on actual Richelieu) and fun bags.

    No rest for the wicked!
