  1. Might be because the gun models are tied to the nation you are playing as now, so guns from US ships will not transfer the german ships.
  2. Any chances on giving the N3/G3 ships some tower mounts further back as well? Also want to add the the AI designed cruisers are slightly broken, they have battleship grade armor (15inches) but only 6 inch guns. there seems to be a mismatch in order of importance for cruisers.
  3. Definitely enjoying the new damage model so far, seems a vast improvement since the first release of alpha 4. Only gripes so far is with the N3/G3 hull which its tower mounts make it pretty difficult to recreate the Nelson class where its main structure is further aft.
  4. I think there should be a compromise regarding 16 inch guns and the barbettes they are attached to. Right now the British style mark 3 16 guns don't exactly fit on the Barbette and because of the size of the barbette it causes issues for the 3rd turret. However the standard and tall barbettes seem to appear as if they can hold an 16 inch turret but just can't. I understand if the role of the huge barbette is to hold guns >16, but I believe it would be great to add a tall(huge) superimposed barbette which ascetically is slightly thinner for 16 inch guns to make it less cumbersome for British designs like the Nelson class.
  5. So a new trigger for the issue has been discovered. When I exited the custom battle this time I waited 5 seconds before advancing screens, when I felt like I was safe so I then started changing values of ships and tech year, because the values I wanted were pretty far so I spam clicked the arrows to change how many ships I wanted and then the game shut down my computer spontaneously. I will send a bug report as soon as the launcher comes off "In Game" screen. Edit bug report name: Game Crash In the Custom Battle Screen
  6. What I fear with crew is the fact that I could have the upper hand on a battle, but because the battle could be going on for too long all the sudden my entire fleet mutinies or abandons ship even in 6v2 scenarios. Someone mentioned a scuttle as well, what if the crew straight up decides to scuttle mid battle because they were too scared of 2 ships. I hope crew will have a bit more mental durability which can last a few battles instead of pissing themselves after the opening salvos.
  7. @Ink New crash report submitted : Game crash after battle endscreen
  8. @skg02While yes it would be historically accurate, there are many moments I am thankful for no ram damage. The path finding is terrible leading to many ships colliding even when you give the ships a heading at the start of a battle. Also AI controlled ships like to barge any units that cause an obstruction, especially destroyers sending it through a battleship division. its best to smug realism to avoid massive frustration of damaging your own ships during the campaign due to circumstances that are most likely not the player's fault. Now this isn't even mentioning the hostile force maybe committing mass suicide in a bid to change formation to begin their attack. Now that would make battles a lot less interesting, Especially when a major fleet battle turns into picking off stragglers before a shot is even fired. I believe this is the right decision from a game play standpoint to relieve stress during complicated battles.
  9. @InkI can verify that this man has a computer that is of similar specs to mine and that he has run skyrim in a high demand environment (150 skyrim mods are no joke) But if hardware were to blame in all cases stated in this forum (given everyone here is running about the same specs), why does temperatures and load readings are optimal during a high intensity battle but then spike (or straight up crash) when transitioning to menus. I am 100% sure that all systems are working in peak condition (because I can turn on Forza Horizon 4 on ultra and hear my fans running normally) The problem does have the possibility of damaging parts, I myself have let the game rest for a while to make sure I don't damage my PC with constant restarts after crashes nor do I want to trigger the game to crash just to fill out a bug report (one of these times the computer might not turn on again). I want to know if a issue has been spotted in the transition between screens and if there is another hot-fix planned in Alpha 4 to possibly optimize the game to rectify these issues?
  10. @Steeltrap To answer your question on exceeding the minimum specs I have a GTX 1080t . so I believe we are fairly similar in that department and I still have the same issues with spikes
  11. @Ink Report sent under the title "Game caused computer to crash"
  12. @Ink Ok so an update, just 3 minutes ago the problem reoccurred. However I got as far as the custom battle screen after responding to the play again screen and this was the results. My CPU was at around 45% usage which was about average for the battle that occurred/ Memory was at around 60 ish which felt it consumed a bit higher than normal, but well within acceptable ranges. Then as I'm tabbing back into the game from task manager the computer shut down again. I wasn't able to find any sort of cause which could have been directly related to heating as the computer just inexplicably shut down. I will note that none of my fans were spinning at an increased rate to compensate for any heating. But with that being said I do know that they are working perfectly fine because I've had no issues in similar higher demand games. Finally I would like to add that this issue never occurred in alpha 3 and even in that version I have had large scale battles with around 20 ships a side so I think the issue is related to a change in alpha 4 which causes an spike in demand. What puzzles me is when the crash occurs. The battle will go smooth as silk even with a heavy amount of ships, but only when returning to a main menu will the game seems to be when it goes haywire.
  13. @Inkill do my best to keep track of temperatures and get back to you, but I cant say the same about bug reports. I cant report a crash until its too late with this issue
  14. Just recently stumbled upon this, Y turret in the USA II hull clips through the superstructure. during my custom battle
  15. On completion of a battle between 15 ships or above, my game as soon as I click an answer to the win screen "play again? Y/N" the game has an annoying habit of turning off my computer when I hit leave battle. This used to be more frequent when in beautiful mode in larger scale battles, but now in Good graphics the crashes are random (crashes have happened at as low as 4 ships to as high as 20 ships). I have found that I can repeat the same battle 5 times and at the end of one of them it will crash. Now this it never occurred in alpha 3, but when alpha 4 was released I have experience computer crashes requiring a reboot at least 12 times. To answer the system question in advance, I have played a ton of other high demand games (Space engineers, storm works, and red dead redemption 2, etc.) on very high graphics settings, have all drivers up to date, and have had no issues. more recently I have made it all the way back to the custom battle screen before the computer crashes and I'm trapped with "in game" on the launcher
