  1. Great, thanks a lot! Getting back to this when I read it.
  2. Bunch of questions been haunting me for a few weeks now... Captured, Restored firearms: Tried looking this up, but I couldnt figure out what triggers capturing / restoring guns, and when it wont trigger? Is there formulae, and based on what? Does outcome such as winning, inconclusive or losing play part in the mechanism? I just seem to restore and capture, both, much less than those I watched in Youtube. How about artillerry pieces? "Wounded": What factors dictate how long officers stay wounded? Can they die because of being wounded, like Jackson did? Scaling (Horizontal vs. Vertical): Discussion on scaling did not touch the question whether the scaling is horizontal, vertical or both; that is, if I increase the number of soldiers in a brigade contra if I increase the total number of brigades... How does this angle work out in the end, and how I can use this to my own advantage? Medicine versus Training: Now this seems a bit confusing, Training (Career option) saves money when recruiting veterans, but that won't help with fire arms nor recruits - you still pay for both. Medicine, however saves you men right off the bat, so you save recruits, fire arms and gold, all thee, and because of this it seems to be strictly better option than Training? Impact of the Battle As far I see it, the game is a bit vague on details how the outcome of every individual battle actually impacts the enemy? The primary impact is shown in a small icon on an intel window of each incoming battle (e.g. -5% to the size of the army). No problem with that... However, Idea that destroying the enemy man power in every single battle beyond and above the available time window and particular battle-specific goals could actually have a negative impact on the enemy (man power) is often repeated notion. Details of this, on the other hand, are not available anywhere? Knowing how this actually works would be very imnporant, because wasting men trying to hunt enemes down impacts your game everytime, and without details players can not make educated decisions. I am pretty sure this was not all, but lets start with this.
  3. This is an awesome game; a game that doesn't just tell stories but instead, creates them! Makes me wonder why there are so few AARs around here in the forums? ...Let's Plays in Youtube are not a good substitutes for well written and thoughful, hand written after action reports, I mind you.
  4. Yes, obviously there is something more or less apparent that triggers the glitch; I was lucky to finish day 1 after loading a save file saved at the same moment I secured the landing in first place. Only difference between these two diffrent try-outs I can imagine was that the first time Union tried to contest the landing but was repelled, the second time they did not contest the landing after I had secured it. It may or may not play a role in triggering the glitch.
  5. Happened with with my fellow general Stonewall Jackson during this run. He was, at the same time, wounded and available, I think that somehow multiplied him. But there are never too many good Dems around there... Hope to get third copy before AntiFa hits the fields of Antietam once again!
  6. 2020 and it still occurs... loading a save file seems to help, though.

    Shiloh

Shiloh for Democrats Unfortunately I can not see the video up there anymore, but as a new player to me it seems Shiloh is still broken... The first time I pushed towards the landing very aggressively -- and very bad, to be frank with you, using classical double enveloping -- but I did secure it just before the timer ran out. I still had to fight the second day only to run out of ammo. Second time I did not even try that hard, because I thought Buell arriving to the rescue was hard scripted for some reason. Again I ran ooa. But then I saw someone beat Shiloh first day in Youtube, something that should have happened to me in the first place? Anyways, now I played it better and secured the landing early on by pushing to the middle in both maps; this secured kind of a "highway" up to the landing allowing my AntiFa march up there mostly uninterrupted. And again, I was forced to meet the Buell's Teaparty reinforcements next day. After reloading the save file, and simply repeating the feat like Sanders repeated Iowa in New Hampshire, I FINALLY won Shiloh first day! I have no idea what triggers the glitch that forces you to fight the second day, and why it has not been fixed already? The game is so great, hardly any game simulates current political polarization in the US so well and let's you hand the Trump's ass back to his Union followers on a silver plate like this game does, but bugs such as this one ruins the game if one puts in a little bit more serious effort in harder difficulty.
