  1. Possibly part of the fore weight offset problem is the red area of machinery spaces always seems to be too far forward. It usually starts at the forward funnel and runs aft, but later trunking efforts could produce some unusual layouts.
  2. Also, for the US semi-armoured cruiser IV the patch not says "like the St. Louis-class" except you still can't but anything larger than 3in guns in the casements.
  3. Why do US modern battleship hulls have terrible pitch issues?
  4. I shouldn't have to wait 5 years to build new ships or refit older ones because the turrets suddenly don't fit.
  5. Having trouble in an 1890 Germany start, I've started getting mark II guns and now nothing fits on my ships! 4 and 5 in guns don't fit down the side of a light cruiser now they're turrets only, and 11in guns or higher don't fit on Battleship III forward position. The scaling of a lot of pieces overall in the game seems a little large as well.
  6. Setting up naval invasions is getting a bit buggy, now in 1920 from 1890 start. Sometimes I can have fleets sitting ready and the option in the politics tab isn't there. Sometimes the choose a place to invade list is buggy with duplicates and sometimes my own regions, or at least ones I've taken a few months ago. Sometimes I choose one and it isn't appearing next month. Right now I'm trying to invade Northern Algeria, and I've had a couple of months of no option to start followed by two months of it not actually appearing. My issue with battle generation I might start a separate topic, but the short version (to reiterate an earlier post) is so many empty battles where they just run, (plus a handful where I just do). I don't think I've fought a battle where the enemy battleships haven't had to be chased down by carving up the (surprisingly large amount of cruisers) it throws in first when I do get a big battle that they don't run.
  7. Click view when in the ships design tab, as if you were preparing to refit it, and in the ship designer near the refit button should be copy. Note that only refits apply to already built ships though.
  8. I haven't tried Spain, but what has become really expensive is putting up the tech, crew and transport sliders, as well as building docks. Docks are really expensive now. I haven't had crew training high except in wars or playing the British, or later USA games. On the other hand my tech is Advanced with the slider at 70% with China or Japan, and was hitting Very advanced with it at 80% with the USA or British. I don't try and maintain loads of ships, but I don't play on the harder difficulties.
  9. Line ahead formations are still doing a conga line, with the resulting accuracy penalties for the non-lead ships.
  10. Yeah, AI fleet building as the game goes on is weird. China game, by 1910, a Japan I fought a while back couldn't build battleships anymore, and the now-Soviet Union had 108 ships, all TBs
  11. Oh, and US modern battleship 2 (I think) can't have any barbettes for some reason.
  12. Poked a USA game, some weird goings on. Ungoverned territory has the best internal security forces, no rebellion ever succeeded against them, so no nations came back. Many countries whom had their navies wrecked seemed to get stuck in a building and scrap loop. They have little to no ships, so they start building a lot of ships. I don't know if them completing new ships triggered some sort of income saving flag, as it seems as soon as they complete them something would make them scrap them, and lay down more. Spain with only part of Spain left, building 40 ships at a time is like this, but Germany, with less colonies, but half of France and half of Spain is also like this though. I will have to check if anyone with a navy is doing this. Again more battles where the enemy runs straight away. It's all well and good saying I have cornered a fleet, but with no coastline on the battlemap, I haven't really cornered them have I?
