Oh I would have loved to enjoy a contested battle but I am one of those unfortunate British who is on at a time when port battles are a premium which often means I miss the fun and frolics. At least I had the sence to get a cutter to hunt you down most of those twelve were covering the approaches to GT

Last night in our nation TS we had 12 hunting on Spanish cutter at GT after that timer expired forced by my hand I said we should sail to defend Manzanilla this fell on Def ears so I logged out and played WoW. When the flag was bought a few said are we going to defend it I said no. but the real truth of the matter was that we would have never of made it to port because of the screener fleet protecting the pb fleet hope Spain enjoyed another uncontested. Port Battle.

This is the same as in football. They don't replay football matches because of mistakes made by referees they learn from their mistakes. So as Kair has posted by three different clocks Hethwill stopped the match at the right time. Match referees devote their free time to this but in my opinion should leave their bias at home. MATCH length is 45min regardless of the state in play if a team used the clock to gain a win then it's within the rules maybe there should be a rule that if the opposition does not fire a shot for five minutes then a warning is issued. In the event that thus 5 minutes is within the last 10 minutes of the match then the referee can deduct points from the fleeing team. Maybe devs can change the mechanics of the timer so that the battle ends 45 minutes after the first movement of any ship. With regards to the current dispute there can be no replay let us move on and stop being sore losers.

Running all over only to get to ports to late when calling in British nation chat for help there was apathetic silence or my ship is to small to help there was even calls to go grinding fleets. o7 to Spain for getting those ports the talk in nation chat was completely Spain is done, which one is a fake? They don't have enough to take 3 at once! Even though in the fight I was involved in it resulted in me losing a dura on my Inger I really enjoyed the fights.

I personally would love to get fights for every port making the victories meaningful rather than hollow but surely Spain must understand where we are coming from we would rather have Spain as our allies rather than our enemy but that will never happen unless we the elder statesman of our respective nations can see past the respective map position and look to the strategic need of both nations. We the British do not want to be looking over our shoulders all the time at what Spain is doing we wish to be looking forward to our front. sadly at this time we cannot do this so bottling us Spain or trying to is a strategic must this would release us to push East or hold the ground we have. Having a sustained peace with Spain is in both nations interest. In Spain case it would provide a solid base to move forward with agreement with new allies it would allow Spain to grow its player base which we all want to see we don't want to see it destroyed and I do agree nothing galvanises a nation more than being rolled back to a few ports, but it only galvanises the most pationate amongst us or those that don't just role over a die or reroll for better times. So I respect every Spanish Captain who wants to fight but look at it this way Spain on her own is never going to beat Britain as many have said we have to big a player base she may win a fight or two but ultimately we will win the war. Now I am not arrogant but this is how is see the current situation. The fact that we cannot reduce you at this time to 0 ports means we cannot win the map this may change in the future.

Alucard you have my respect but don't spoil it we do not expect you to surrender never have but maybe come to a lasting agreement that would see Spain grow and stay strong this could have been sorted out a long time ago but for the arrogance of some on both sides. Lasting peace deals could have been arranged several time but for the impatience of some who forget that some who play this game do not spend 24hrs a day in it expecting things to happen overnight. Spain could have kept it's position gained at the Three Admirals treaty but declared war here instead and now you find yourselves once again reduced to a certain number of ports. I really do wish that the arrogance of the few can be swayed by the need of the many and we can get back to the position of a couple of weeks ago.

I know of several Brasilians playing we have at least 2 within British Royal Vanguard, I know of several Argentines playing for Spain. I have been on the receiving end of a deal of vitriol for killing one.

There are some really good gaming communities here with long histories maybe some hardware prizes might be the order of the day.

Tommy you really should get your facts straight! Yes 75 was the quoted number but did they poster actually state what nations that 75 was made up from because I can tell you this when I checked that quoted number at least 25 of those defenders were either Dutch or US now my figures are not accurate but they are pretty close to the mark. In these assaults on the Spanish we have had a lot of help from both USN and Netherlands but then all you would have seen while trying to gank our noobs outside KPR is what you can see from the masthead try helping your new found allies instead of bleating about it or switch sides again and join them.!

When I logged on last night shortly after primetime 10pm uk time there was 5 British flags running how many of those primetime flags did you defend and if my understanding is correct those ports that were taken and set at either 20-22 or 22-24 server time so what's wrong with that? We have many EU players from all over the EU that are in the same time zone as Spain who play throughout.

so out of all the ports we have attacked in the last few days Spain has defended but a few with a sizeable force what're are your allies now sitting on thier heels taking undefended ports in Haiti or trying to Gank newbies around KPR. this can end but only if you want it to get your player base to vote for peace and arrange it with Britain, USA and Netherlands so that the vote all works and then there might be peace and we can stop this war of words and get back to being friends again.

There is already a U.S. based server go play there if you want.

So what your saying Kair is that once i return from my holidays i can return to take up my spot? even though i am not officially on the team sheet?

I would like to pick up on this seeing as due to the changes in the date when the tournament was supposed to start because of the changes to small battles to make it work I will now be on holiday I have had to drop out from our team which will result in myself being unable to participate. I do however come back on Saturday next week but find that I will not be allowed to retake up my spot which was rather annoying mind you it could be all over by then of course.

Also as i understand it reserves are limited to 1 player per team. This causes an issue as it appears i will be away for the first part of the tournament.
