So you state that you didn't like it being stuck in port like that which nation was the first to experiance that 2 nation attacks at a port I will tell you does everyone forget that GB was while holding Jeremie under attack twice a night from Pirates and Danes sometimes Spain talk about pot calling kettle black you hypocrite. I don't remember complaining or hearing complaints about that.

Alucard your really need to let this go while you were fighting VP and GB down south alls you had to do was sit in Barrenquilla and wait. Also while you had your merry head buried in the the sand VP was also fighting the Danes and the French in the East.For Spain to take Cartagena des Indias from Britain you had to call in help from the Danes by which time the British fleet had already for the most part returned to home waters for some R&R we just had to many resting and recuperating for post patch to offer a resistance. right now you could probably conquer most of Honduras without much resistance the much fabled most numerous nation is but a slumbering giant be careful not to rattle her gage to much.

Spain are strong because we pushed them harder at times. Some like myself have been fighting them for 10 months now and alls I have seen is a stronger and less fractious Spanish nation that appear to work together as a team much better than we British appear to do. This from my point of view is only good for the game but we British are tired while Spain has generally only had one nation to fight we have been generally fighting 4 v 1 not to mention the gankers outside KPR endlessly. Three Admirals Treaty was good for all involved it gave us a break from each other but not necesarily from all out war. I have suggested that the war and peace model is wrong allowing the players to define the politics of thier nations doesn't sit well with me as you get these constant player driven wars. I suggested that a algorithm be used to create wars and peace in the region which could give randomized periods of war and peace between nations enforcing breaks and giving nations a chance to recover and rebuild for the next war. This could be influenced by actions of players involved in pvp/rvr.

Part of the reason that Spain won in thw West is that the Brits stopped fighting there 2 weeks ago like the Dutch I hope the Spanish appreciated the uncontested retake of Panama.

Lessons have been learned from this tournament one of the things causing delays has been getting everyone needed to play a match at the alloted time this was a result of not being to bring in a unnamed reserve player to fill in for guys who were unable to attend I know BRITS had to fight a 2 v1 match because we couldn't swap out for those that were online. This is going to be addressed in the next tournamentime which should speed things along a bit.

Actually there is a way Server is placed at the centre of the earth with direct links for all. sorry had to be said our world is round where ever you place the server some one will not be happy about the connection they have to the server. I live in the UK and like the fact I have nice low ping for a change but I also understand where the op is coming from. I also know several Aussies that play this game and rarely do I hear them complain about ping or lag.

Unfortunately there isn't. You can place the server where it is optimal but there will still be ping issues from different parts of the world.

Ultimately traders have to expect loses or learn how to fight back effectively. One of my colleagues while sailing his India man with a Trinco/Trinco escort tried running to start when that didn't work he turned around and fought the pirate. This resulted in a 3v1 and the pirate had to escape with no reward for his efforts. The cargo carried was worth over 3m at kpr price. He also puts regular calls out in clan for escorts in which is an advantage to those who use clans having players available to escort him home is a real bonus. So to those setting up this anti gang squad I hope it works out for you but unless you can run three to four fleets round the clock you are never going to provide the cover needed

Additional: The more we players we have down south the more we can do to assist our Dutch allies.

As a player that has been here a good amount of time I think I have an opinion. So this is hypothetical and could happen as we get closer to patch time where by those that have been port battling in an attempt to assist the Dutch decide that due to lack of help from the general population they are going to take a break what do you think will happen to all those newly freed up Spanish, Danish, Swedish and Pirate forces will go, I can tell you that instead of seeing maybe gank fleets of 7 or 8 enemy around KPR you will see fleets as many as 20-30 enemy players of one nation there all out to kill poor Mr Fletcher and any other unsuspecting pubbies. While we are fighting port battles in Panama or assisting the Dutch the gank squads will remain limited the more people we have down south the less enemy will be on our doorstep that is the strategy behind these constant port battles.

Just 13 players were present at Cartagena last if you call that a British zero you are sorely mistaken.

ask Spain who they have been fighting in the Southern Carribean I think you will find it is the British that are there trying to help the Dutch. The announcement of a port wipe has literally cut our numbers in half of those willing to fight in a far off land not to mention defending our home waters against Danish gank fleets around KPR at the same time.

tis a shame and to be honest I am dismayed that France can take the forum wars at the face value rather than anything else than a group of people writing abusive words designed specifically to wind the other side up and both sides have them and are both guilty of it.

Haha just picked this up for my iPad mini great to have a game for my iPad that I can play that doesn't need deep pockets to win or for that matter just progress.

I didn't say anything about planking, if as Lord Visious says which I have no doubt he tested extensively the exceptional pump with pump specialist perk on an Essex means it will stay afloat for longer than it reasonably would. Now I understand that different ships have different sinking properties but most ships in this game will stay afloat for 5 to 10 mins not 20 mins as described by Lord V with little water in the bilges.

Vera Cruz is probably the safest port for Spain capital.

N no matter I didn't see the previous post that you edited out. I am glad we can all agree that the timers were a bad way to go I even told the devs so before it was even implemented.

Do the Dutch have 70+ ports no they don't, do Spain have 70+ ports to look after nope. Do Danes and Swedes have 30+ ports to look after no they don't? Are they fighting on multiple fronts? nope!Yes we have a larger population than these nations but please tell me how we are supposed to defend 70+ ports around the clock to defend every port at the drop of the hat all on the same timers. There is no way that without timers we can possibly be all over the map at the same time fighting 5 nations at once. Please I would like to hear how you would do it because I tell you this if you were in our shoes you would be doing the same. The fact that we are not defending ports we took from you is the boardum of fighting Spain for 8 months with the same old hate and crap coming out about timers or lame tactics which both sides have used(not timers for Spain) the guys that want to PVP are off chasing French though it really dismays me that we are just rolling over with no defence made in the Euro primetime. Please don't flame me for my figures as they are rough just to prove a point I don't have the map available to look at right now.

So the Essex is bugged which means forthwith it should be banned in this tournament.
