Does anyone else feel that the accuracy of ships have become a little to high? I can be in a full blown turn in my 1915 BB at 7km and it still stays at 100%.  Battles feel more like a execution rather than a brawl

I'm seeing the same both for me and the AI.

Just had a battle where an Japanese CA had 100% to hit despite smokescreens and according to the display both Flooding and Damage penalties

The range was short but the crew was only Trained

  2. I'm also getting a hang every turn with the  "Building Ships" popup showing. (Reported in-game)

The game can be saved and reloaded but the same issue occurs at the end of the next turn. It may not be relevant but I always get an event pop-up wheh I reload the saved game

This is with an existing pre RP3 saved game

I also think everyone has too much money - I've blockaded the Russians  for some time and they still have +7% growth and 765,000,000 in their naval budget

I've since started a new game and am not seeing the hang

my britan campaign right now is stuck because every time I fight a certain battle agianst china (big battle, 9 v35) the game keeps being stuck in loading "battles".

I've had the same with a similarly sized Battle(UK vs Austria in my case). The battle ends, the results screen is viewable but then the game hangs on the next loading screen

    *UPDATE 18 HOTFIX * (25/6/2022)
    - Reverted code that improved the battle distance because it caused error when we left a battle that included TR. We will repair as soon as possible.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU RESTART STEAM AND THE UPDATE IS APPLIED WITH A NEW DOWNLOAD

I can confirm that  a  Convoy battle which resulted in the black screen now ends properly

Here is a new one (for me at least):

Campaing battle (convoy escort in this case) that goes decently well for me with 2 hostile DDs getting away. So i click the "End Battle" button and it switches to the black loading screen and is basically stuck there. Settings button still there and working, menue pop-up opens -> "Leave Game" i get the pop-up but nothing changes, -> "Exit to Main Menue" i get back to the battle view. UI still there but no ships rendered and time counts forward.

Closing the game is the only thing that works but once i load the campaing i get the same pop-up for that campaing battle again. Doing the battle again gets me the same as above.

Trying to replicate this now with a different battle/campaign.

    ...

different battle same results, will try with new campaing now

I get exactly the same although in this case I'm attacking the convoy.

This was with a new campaign

I fight vs AI right now, they have 12,5"/55 gun with heavy ammo, 1892. 100% accuracy on the range 4km, full speed, when I have only 4,5% on gun 9,9"/55 or 9,9"/45 (max long barrel) and 12,3"/55 gun with 9,2%. How?! When I look on bonus the AI had +402% for found the range. with gun what fired once per 80s, when my 12,3" was too slow to be aimed.

I had the same in the 1890 scenario -  a German battleship with 12.5" guns had much greater accuracy (going up to 100%) than any of my ships despite having much the same Pitch and Roll. All it's other guns seem to be in the same bracket as mine and I never noticed such a huge disparity with any other German ship

  7. I'd like to have seen a 3rd option - OK for the moment.

I can't see the point of adding more hulls whilst there are several outstanding gameplay issues still be sorted.

On the other hand if new hulls can be added without impacting the gameplay coding then it wouldn't do any harm  but like a couple of the posters above I'd like to see the early  eras given some attention.

I also agree with Skoggatt that they should have gone for a narrower time range to start with to keep things manageable. There's plenty of technological change from 1890-1925 to keep us occupied and the big gun brigade can have the Duilio :)

  8. I don't know how relevant this is but I did notice this quote with regard to HMS Renown

'Deputy Controller said the ship could best deal with the German Scharnhorsts at about 18,000 yds and 45° bearing.

Friedman, Norman. The British Battleship 1906-1946 . Pen and Sword. Kindle Edition. '

Its in a section regarding armour protection following the loss of Hood.

However earlier in the same page it states that both the QE's and KGV's should fight beam on against the Bismarck.

So it would seem to me that angling for better armour protection  was considered but like all things it would depend on a number of considerations.

    Some random thoughts

    1. I'm not convinced that ships should be able to reduce flotation damage during a battle. I think they should be able to stop flooding but maybe only larger ships might have the capacity to pump out water.  In my most recent battle a 1904 torpedo boat went from red flotation back up to 60% or so.

    2. Guns seem a bit too difficult to knock out especially on smaller ships where they are only shielded.  I don't know if its modeled or not but I would hope to see shielded guns knocked out by crew casualties (whether by having crew or abstracted).  It may just be a textual thing but I've never seen Turret armour mentioned on the log.

3 I may be mistaken but torpedoes always seemed to be aimed correctly. So if the target doesn't change course or speed it gets hit  From my reading in real life torpedoes did miss even in ideal conditions because of human error.
