    with posts like this, homophobic slurs, spam, and people trying to start drama with all the stuff that's going on in Ukraine right now the server desperately needs mods to remove and filter out this garbage (all this stuff is still not removed on the discord BTW).

    It may seem strange to make a forum post about this but i and other people have tried messaging the devs through the discord and the forums and have only gotten silents. i feel bad bugging them for something like this right now with everything going on but the server really needs some support.

    Carriers belong in Battleships-focused game, the same as Self Proppelled artillery does in a tank game. Yes, you can put them it, but will ad little to none to the game, and will only ruin what the game is supposed to achieve.

    So, no. If you want Carriers, go play something else. There is plenty of games in which you can enjoy them. Games in which you can enjoy pure ship VS ship gun combat... not so many. And I'm pretty sure that THAT was precisely what brought a lot of us here. In fact, on that topic, I'm already concerned enough about submarines...

    It's definitely too early to say if carriers belong or not in this game or that the gameplay would be "boring". We don't even know if the devs will add them or not in the future and what the gameplay would even be like.

    Personally I'd be fine if they both get added or not added. If the devs do say carriers are coming I hope they atleast do them farther in the future when the game starts to come together and be complete.

    The AI designer seems to be very focused on filling all available deck space with guns. One thing that might help the AI designer a bit is to follow a rule of not placing guns in positions that have firing arcs of less than, say, 120 degrees:

    But regardless, you can see that this would not be feasible at all in reality due to the area needed to work the guns. If the side guns turned at all to the side, there would be no way for the gun crew to work the gun with the gun in the middle, but the game shows these side guns having greater than 180 degree firing arcs.  The footprint on deck needed for open / shielded guns does not seem to be properly accounted for.  They are not just guns with shields on them; they are guns with shields and large crews necessary to operate the gun and supply it with ammo (that must come from outside the gun and be supplied from behind the breech).

    Opened design in game and changed nothing but reducing guns to something reasonable and increasing armor.  Now we have something that works:

  5. Cant wait to try this update out when it is released. Like everyone else, I'm especially excited to try out the 20 inch and quad guns.(25-30 Inch guns when?/s)

    Also excited to see what future updates will bring (and still hopeful for a ship designer update)

    Even if I wasn't always happy about the way this feedback was delivered, you can't say it was just pages of "cry". A critic is still a feedback, it's even more valid if it is backed with evidence in game, like it generaly was.

    I hope so, besides the campaign some other garring issues (gunnery, precision, zombie hulls/ships, bulkheads), we could do with more hulls, towers, turret types, etc and even barbette types as well (unless they were pretty much universal in terms of looks).

    Would also love some tools for the ship builder like a offset and a rotate tool (this would help you precisely place things where you want).

    Also things like towers and barbettes should be a lot less restrictive on their placement too. (I probably sound like a broken record saying that but this is probably the biggest thing I want to see be changed)
