  1. No you are 100% correct. Your crews no matter the level seem to be mentally challenged when firing torps. The AI instantly reacts to your launch. If the AI launches torps at you they are incredibly accurate and spotting them is almost too late. So you are only left with constantly changing speed and direction constantly. I found this is the only way to avoid the AI super torps. I do think torps in the game are broken for lack of control, aiming and the like. The AI simply have the advantage.
  2. Simply this makes no sense. In most battles the AI runs away you waste 5 to 20 minutes chasing them to get a 100% kill. This is a waste of time. Or you leave battle knowing you decimated the enemy forces and get this ( because you no longer want to waste more time chasing AI) This needs to be adjusted as a victory considering the AI ship loss and sailors lost ratio
  3. Does not work. I just spent an hour in game and destroyed about 70 enemy transports. 100% complete mission no points awarded...... Only time point were awarded was when I killed warships. At the end of the game it said I only killed two AI transports? All the while my trans ports vanish without a fight? and the AI makes points? The game is broken.
  4. @Littorio Yes you do a fine job at stalking the forums every day aaaand that was the point.
  5. Eh WTF are you talking about? Won several yet don't give a hello kitty to screen shot them, like it means something? I'm also testing out aspects of the game like different fleet set ups to figure out how the campaign works. Laughably you have to lie and be a little twat about it.
  6. I took one torp to the bow and the whole ship flooded. The ship had all the anti flood, reinforced bulkheads and many bulkheads along with auxiliary engines for improved flood control and the like. While the Brit light cruiser took three torps and was still afloat even though it had massive damage and the like. Something seems broken here.
  7. I don't wanna sound mean but those are trash stats. You have one decent game out of the entire bunch. It's sort of sad you even posted them. I kill more transports in two or three turns than you did the entire campaign. Heck I've killed more Enemy ships in a couple of missions than you did in some of the campaigns. The fact you screenshotted them like some sort of trophy makes me wonder about your mental health or what you feel is a significant victory.
  8. Well troll yourself into a corner... Seems reading over you two fan girls posts are nothing but rebuttals to other people posts. Sure you have a hand ful of "well I dont get why this is not working posts" But that is it. Nothing critical or man this is really broken or does not make sense posts. Like the other guy his posts are just nothing but spamming the forum 5 to 10 posts a day replying to people with excuses. So I'm not trolling I'm offering feedback..... you two are nothing more than chatty hens clucking about the forums with nothing better to do.
  9. Sigh.... ou fan boi and well that is useless at best. Fan Boi's do not fix a game or offer useful feedback they simply do nothing at all. Early access is a lame excuse. People play the game find issues post them and if was "as intended" we do not know or maybe they simply will not change it at all. Or they "have no idea or planned this is how it will be" See you don't know and I do not know. So you dropping in here slapping your dick jerkers on the key board to do nothing but fan boi is useless, from now on scroll past my posts because you have never offered anything but fan service so far.
  10. Silly, absolutely silly. Either is it not right (game mechanic) or grossly overrated. While I put British ships on the bottom of the ocean almost on a level you can make a bridge to Germany from the dover cliffs It means nothing. The actual real elimination of ships means almost nothing...... While Power Projection allows the enemy fleet to blockade my ports and even though I have ships at sea and destroy the Brits in every engagement It means nothing at all? If I do not have to use battleships because I can make Battle Cruisers, Cruisers and Destroyers highly effective I'm penalized for this? If there were newspaper headlines in the game it would real Germany sends another 2500 to 10000 sailors to Davey Jones Locker followed by the tonnage of warships and transports I just sunk. It would be humiliating to the opposing forces because this happens many turns in a row.
  11. So I'm kind of pissed that the campaign mode is not functional. I tired various tactics and no matter how many enemy ships I sink the enemy simply makes more ships , targets my transports and the game is over. You can win 90% of the battles, lose only cheap ships , have massive victory points over the enemy, no matter. I find that really kind of boring. So how do you win. Make lots of cheap ships. Flood the sea and well that is it. Economic victory every time. This totally negates the reason to design ships that are awesome versus the Quantity is Quality of it's own mentality. Beyond that you cannot attack or blocked, specifically attack trans ports and the like. Where are the subs, mins, commerce raiders, armed transports? ect?
  12. Yaaaaa....... nothing I pointed out is covered. It would be advisable to post a road map of features.
  13. I'm not sure why or in what thought process in whatever meeting thinking/saying "well we are not going to show your convoy routes or allow you to attach ships to convoys or indicate they are unprotected". Buuut we are going to make this a huge part of the game you cannot see, so it eventually pisses you off. Simply ZERO game mechanic option for the player to visually see and assign warships to the countries specific transport routes. I have ships in all ports so what is broken? Sorry, not sorry but that lack of game mechanics is totally asinine. I'm several turns into the game I have decimated all opposing force ships to the loss of two DDs, I'm swinging above my ships abilities and class types yet with smaller fleets, lower tonnage ships and the like I'm doing rather well. I have nine times the amount of victory point they do and the Power projection screen comes up and now i'm losing 10 transports at a time. I already had over 100% and full funding for my transports but now no matter what I do I keep losing transports. The Fix: Add the game mechanic to assign ships to protect transports and show transport routes. You are going to add a warning screen that a transport convoy is not protected so the player can make changes before the next turn or let them go. Indicate the needed amount of warships to cover transports. Assign patrol routes for your ship to screen for enemy activity catching enemy warships and or convoys. Create game mechanics that will allow the attack of ports or shipyards. Add the mechanic of player activated blockades on specific ports. When I have a battle come up the enemy run away I spend several minutes at 5X to 10X speeds to find nothing. I leave the game to see there was an encounter. I had five game like this in a short period of time. It is a huge waste of time for me or anyone with limited game play time. If there is to be a battle then place enemy ships in visual range or within a one minute window of contact. If the AI decides to run away award a "retreat fee" to the fleeing forces end the battle in no more than a minute and a half Allowing the player to Fleet up, we can build ships but not fleets, simply I want to put fleets together for whatever action and then use them as needed. I keep seeing the AI launch large fleets at me why can't I do the same? Player assigned fleets to port, convoy, attacks and or patrols A showing on the map of where ships are at and the ability to move ships to fleet up if needed The ability to counter enemy fleet movements by sending your fleets at them At this point i'm really done playing the campaign because it is too broken or missing critical parts to make it more fun and worthwhile. Simply is a pile of frustration at this point too annoying to play.
  14. Here is another example. 6 DDs vs 1 CA I simply got tired of chasing them killed four clearly a wi.... nope because the last two couldn ot be run down it was undecided. Last time I checked if you lost four out of six ships that would be a loss let alone 808 souls
  15. So the attached photo shows a lopsided battle I'm out classed and yet destroying ship significantly higher in tonnage and firepower the point reward is minimal. Not only that I eliminated 9 transports which held little value. When playing the campaign the Brits are only sinking transports and destroyers yet they are massing victory points. They are getting massive points for killing unarmed transports while I cannot see, find or target thiers. I am decimating their warships and often kill of ships at a higher tonnage than mine. Yet I'm barley ahead on victory points and power projection is half. Simply I cannot make as many ships as the Brits but decimate them in every battle and I'm losing money. I'm sending thousands of Sailors and ships to the icy depths yet it make little difference.
  16. It never ceases to amaze me that the enemy AI torps are usually really good. While the AI on my ships are hello kittying morons. I can set up a nice torp run and they miss. The Enemy AI instantly sees my torps and turns out. While I struggle to move my rather dumb ships in time to avoid incoming torps. Additionally torp warnings are spotty at best. I'm trying to manage several ships and I cannot always see very thin white lines in the water and of course my ships so not automatically avoid them even if they are spotted. What is the point of having hydro or sonar when your ships simply do not react to torps and the game does not keep them highlighted to warn you? The only time my torps are effective is when the enemy has been engages and degraded. Other that that they constantly miss even at short ranges. Something is not right. We need more control over the torps and their firing.
  17. Look tons of things right with this game and several critical things wrong. For one I am very sick of being launched into a battle to waste 3 to 5 minutes on 10X time speed up to never find a enemy ship. You are wasting the players time Instead do this. within 30 seconds of entering the battle. You have engaged in the call to battle yet the enemy has ran away. You are awarded 200 victory points as your Government prints the enemies retreat in the news paper. Or you retreat from battle knowing it may not be advantageous to fight at this time and suffer the penalty. never the less it is a huge waste of time for hte player to have the AI run away. Please fix this.
  18. Except for historical refences to a final push to gain victory? Simply it could also turn the tide of battle and a motivated military facing even superior number can overcome thus putting your enemy now on the defensive.
  19. I never compared it to modern MMO's just games made in the last few years. For $50 it lacks graphically. When trying to sell a game making is appealing to the masses with the basics of a graphically appealing interface is a good idea. Clearly the competitor in naval games surpases the look and feel of this game and they are not $50.00
  20. Well Given the ability to make a game graphically pleasing should not be a challenge it should be the norm and that was my point. Seeing dated graphics in a new game is never a strong indication that much thought or effort was placed into the game on the initial look (what may generall draws in most players) . In the way for strategy games is it even slightly below par in some respects. Given I have been gaming since you had to drop a quarter into a slot, pushing cartridge's into a Atari 2600 and typing in Dos commands to start a game I might have played and experienced a few games since then. I know the core of the game is providing a multitude of options for the player to build a ship but I also know that other people should be working on the player interface and how the game looks. This is not the point of my post. Simply I kind of feel dicked over, I guess the value was playing a game before others?
  21. So at some point during the campaign the opposing forces have a large amount of ships and then they start vanishing. Clearly they cannot sustain the fleet. So the game then turns into slapping the left mouse key on the next turn button and that is about. It seems almost a waste of time and all those new designs I just researched for hours well, they are useless and never see combat. I suggest a mode that is a fleet push for a decisive fight. At least you can form a large fleet to engage in one decisive battle (so to speak) or at least this is an option. Even a tour of force to gain prestige as one side hides in harbor and the other shows the "world" who is superior. Ending the game on a left click marathon just sucks. ( Mostly because I never got to use those massive Dreadnaughts and 10 torp DDs)
  22. So I dropped $50 for this game, anyone else? So I get a notice early today that it is now on Steam for get this $31.49 with a 10% discount......... I kind of thought I was going to get a $50 game but what I got was a boring early access to something we get to see all the bugs in. Don't get me wrong but the game has merit but is far from done. I do not feel at this point it ever was a $50 game or ever will be. At $35/31 it is still not there yet. Maybe $20/25.00 unless something really amazing comes out that we have not seen yet. Simply graphics are too basic and dated, game play is broken because the AI is dumb, control over ships is annoying, campaign mode is minimal. Simply nothing to really pull people in that are used to very graphically intensive games or MMOs and the like. Oh and no real replayability given no player versus player mode. Even in campain mode I see inconsistences and bug when starting the game. The core of the game is solid, build your own ship....... I love this, I wish a certain other game has this core feature because it is far more dynamic in game play. The execution of everything else has quite a bit to be considered. I'm sure it "might" get there one day but maybe too late.
  23. I knew about the port upgrades and just finished a campaign with a 16,000 ton capacity but by that time the UK was failing. Simply I found the research rather boring with 100% funding it 12 years to get even a few options and by the time new hulls were available you could not outfit them, due to weight limitations. Simply minor upgrades and lack luster improvements. You could win this by ensuring your transports are replaced flooding the sea with cheap ships and expanding your harbor modestly. The UK AI made many more advancements but simply the torpedo run on a ship was devastating. sinking the majority of the UK fleet. The game needs a user controlled ability to launch a attack on a port or specific atrols and the like. This highly automated game mechanic simply is too hands off and simplistic. I kinda feel the game is dumbed down. It needs to be more hands on with plotting routes, patrols, raids, attacks ect..... Also I seen no option to capture ships which would and should be a thing.
  24. I'm simply seeing too many imbalances, bug, issues in the game. I have my research at 100% the bonuses set and well that seems to mean nothing I'm seeing the AI advance in tech and larger ships yet I cannot get the most simple tech implemented. I'm hours into the game and this is boring AF. Expanding ports it super slow and silly Two years to advance to a substandard 2000 tonnes somehow the AI does it faster every time. I cannot see my own transport paths to protect them I cannot assign ships to protect those routes I cannot see the ranges said ship can patrol I cannot set patrol or manage patrols to fend off the enemy. AI or ship control is really trash. I finally get a decent sized fleet together and well they just do whatever they want and usually nothing at all. Some ships turn off user control go into an AI mode and flee battle or turn out of a torpedo run. Totally breaking the tactics I sent them to conduct not to mention just running into other friendly ships for no reason at all. In one mission I had to listen to my trans ports grind on each other for several minutes. Something is wrong here, each ship needs to be given the ability to follow a predetermined course that the user plots and the ability of the player to seize control of said ship. For some reason I cannot do this and the AI does not allow user control or well, I have to fight for it. Simply it is not enjoyable or fun and well maybe two years from now it might be better.
