  1. Some noice points too be fair also welcome to dah forums! I agree with all of this, although i don't have steam (too lazy to install it lol and also forget about it a lot). I've been here since alpha 1 so i've seen a lot and seen how the game has grown too be fair, although i think the biggest problems with devs are the lack of comms during patch waiting times (so inbetween patches) and also the large scope of the game (a few have mentioned they wanted CV's and subs although with how much the devs have to do already r.i.p). They do listen and atm, seems like they are doing all the modern bb's and scheebs first, before moving to the old boags (pre-dreads and older ships from 1875-1920).
  2. So current bugs are: Turret armour bug status: Game breaking. This bug, regardless of what you do reverts your turret armour to 0 (I assume the same for AI creations as well), this means anything can flash fire you via your turrets and kill your ship instantly. Armour Value metric to inch bug status: Problematic. This occurs whenever you try to type in values in metric as it auto-converts them to inches regardless. Designer Choppiness and stuttering: Severe. This seems to effect anyone regardless of their pc type or age. Designer becomes increasingly laggy as you progress through the ship building and for some doesn't seem to stop either. Torpedo lock type: Problematic/Severe. When a user selects a torp type and then deletes the torps, regardless if they put new torps down. Those torps will be locked to the first type that was chosen. These are the main current issues, with the patch atm. That i found from others like @Stormnet and the official discord, will keep posted tomorrow after work.
  3. Maybe, still something for the devs to consider nonetheless. If they can't do it in the core patches, they can just include the features in dlc. Although i think in core patch 2.5, 3.5 or 4 they should at least attempt it regardless. Guess we will wait and see it seems.
  4. It shows, that the game is very limited. So we need more components and models that have their own individual weight modifiers. The hull itself should just be the steel or iron its made from everything else should be separate and added up in total (like a shopping list). There's no reason not too make this separate especially if it makes the game better as well and since its direct competitor is RTW's they might as well do a better job of it.

Also wish that the avoidance mechanic for smaller ships was better so that they don't end up ramming or crossing into the paths of bigger ships as i doubt they would of done that in real life (baring some exceptions, but still) and also the ability to turn it off and on along with torp collision (because i either want to take command or i want to ram enemy ships.).
  6. I never got this although i have to admit that the game takes longer to build ships and load up, at least in custom battles anyways.
  7. Some suggestions i have in-mind for future updates and patches regarding crew and a tidbit. "Yeah, we need to have models and proper simulations done too have a more accurate effect on crew. So we will need actual shell models interacting with the models of ships themselves to create a better effect in-general. Plus fires, flooding, internal damage, smoke, internal explosions, accidents and also debris falling or collapsing should all have roles to play in crew deaths and injuries. Along with crew deaths by attrition, the effectiveness of the ship should go down too as obviously i doubt a ship can be ran by one very sweaty bloke running at 100 mph back and forth to sort everything out at once. Also wounded should be sorted into the following: Trivial, Minor, Moderate, Major, Severe, Critical. We could also apply these to other aspects of the ship like, rudders, funnels, engine, ammoracks, storage, radar, rangefinders, turrets, etc. Hopefully by next year we get some of this stuff regardless oh and a leaderboard as well showing an in-depth list of stats of the ships that got damaged and who killed what and how many etc." Cheers!

  9. I was wondering when someone would mention this too be fair. I've noticed as you build the ship its gets increasingly buggy and laggy until a certain point then goes back to being smooth.
  10. Yeah lots of things got changed so progress was set back.
  11. Yeah valve are greedy as hell, they could easily put the fee down to 6%. But they know they have a complete monopoly and the epic game store is a fail as egreedy tried to get peeps into a half-arsed store without basic features in the beginning.
  12. I reckon between thursday and friday for this too be fair, they might try and fix moar bugs and squeeze in a few things or two.

  14. That and all the scummys thing peegee has been doing for the past 2 years (even more so in the recent CC exodus and how they have been treating both colleague and community alike in the past month). Game has potential, but its going now where sad as its quite fun but horribly frustrating.
  15. They probs hit some problems in-regards too some of the mechanics im guessing, so we will have to wait for them to iron out the issues. Rather it's released properly than a bug fest.
  16. Hmm no patch for today? Too be fair for belts we should have the option to add an icebreaker as well. Or armour up to a certain percentage of both bow and stern. I assume the patch will come around 5pm BST time, but i won't hold my breath. Another reason why i dislike the lack of communication, we have no clue what could be effecting them.

  18. True, from my pov it wouldn't of made sense if it was just bug fixes. They added quite a lot more actually especially mechanical wise for armour. Slow steps i guess but important steps.
  19. Hopefully, we get more places to visit. A better battle system than the RTW's one and also forts and maybe mines too.

  22. Ye, im wondering what the devs are doing thats taking up a lot of time. hopefully we see a few more mechanical features, like better armour zones, internal armour. guns that fire in a ordered sequence consistently unless they start taking damage. and also old boags.
