  1. I have tried everything I could. What armor is more effective to increase because it doesn't really make that much a difference since the enemy keeps hitting me and destroying parts of my ship. How do I increase my accuracy because I don't know how this works I've used as many 14 inch guns as I can put on my ship and they can't hit for toffee. Ether I'm really terrible at this game, the game play is flawed or that the nelson class pre-dreadnought was actually the most advanced and powerful battleship is the world and can easily defeat the HMS Dreadnought.
  2. I'm still having difficulty in the combat and ever since I got the update, there was a problem with the ship model. At a distance, the quality of the turrets looks like a blocky 3D model and during a battle the funnels disappear in a distance. I never had this problem in the 1st alpha version of the game
  3. I've been trying the game again when it got the update. The combat still sucks. I've been going back over some missions such as destroy 3 enemy torpedo boats using a battleship and at one point I was pounding at a torpedo boat. It good a lot of sells, 2 engines were damaged and suffered from 2 ammo explosions. Despite all of that it still didn't sink. I even tried the semi dreadnought mission and I was unable to do damage to the semi dreadnought while they were able to bombard my ship and burn it down. After many hours of playing I still have no idea how the guns system works. The main guns have a random chance of hitting, I don't understand how to improve accuracy, the side guns and casement guns seem useless and I'm unsure about which shells to use since they seem to ether work very well or not. Can someone please give me a clear explanation of what to do because I'm not sure if its the way the game was made or that I actually suck at playing the game.
  4. I'd like to give my overall feedback of the alpha version of Ultimate admiral Dreadnoughts after spending many hours playing it. I really love the idea of customizing the ships and coming up with your own unique designs. I love to give a ship big guns as well as a lot of casement turrets. The animations and effects are really beautiful for a alpha version of the game. Its nice to see these ships fight in action and watch the fires, explosions and sinking. However my main problem with the game is the combat. Its nice that all you have to do is select a target and the ship fires at it, but the target suddenly changing is annoying and using the right click to change the target as well as steering the ship in the right direction can lead to accidental moments which result in your ship getting damaged or even destroyed. The most frustrating part is the gunfire. You can determine the gun caliber, shells and powder to use. but even if you use the best ones money can buy, the aiming of the guns sucks and you'll be spending ages trying to hit the target. Even if you are lucky, there are cases where a ship will be heavily damaged, yet it just won't sink unless you keep on pelting shells at it. But in the training mission where your under a time limit, this makes some of the missions very frustrating to complete. I believe this has potential to be a great game for dreadnought enthusiasts. But unless they give clear ideas on how to use the main guns properly or make it easier to sink enemy ships. This so far is a game that looks really nice, but is frustrating to play.
  5. I tried your advice. It still didn't work.
  6. I have tried your method. No matter what guns I have or what armor I give my ship, it still is no good because it takes ages to land a hit on a battleship and it will require many more til it sinks. What really makes this mission impossible is the time limit. Trying to sink 2 well armored pre dreadnought battleships and 4 fast cruisers in that time with big guns that have a small chance of hitting the target and useless secondary guns in that time limit makes this mission an unfair challenge. It seems to be more luck then skill.
  7. How can you complete the WIP Dreadnought mission. I've tried ships with a bunch of 14 inch guns, a fast dreadnought with 12 inch guns as well as many different combinations, Close combat and long distance combat. However no matter what options I chose or what weapons I have, the mission is completely impossible unless I'm very lucky. Even when I bombard with pre-dreadnoughts with AP and HE shells, they can apparently take like a hundred hits before they eventually sink because pre dreadnoughts were well know for their strong armor. I honestly have now idea how to use my guns effectively. The game gives no hints and trying to figure it out is frustrating. I was able to figure other issues I has like customizing ships and using torpedo tubes. But this is a different situation and is causing my more frustration.
  8. I'm a bit confused how the big guns work in the game. I know bigger caliber guns have a longer range and more power, but how do you make them more accurate and effective. I've been doing the WIP dreadnought mission and ether my guns cripple the battleships, but they won't sink or whenever I try to move in closer t increase my accuracy, the enemy does a huge amount of damage to my ship.
  9. In the "destroy a fleet" mission" how can you find the enemy fleet in the distance faster? There is the option of sailing to the direction where the smoke is from, but the enemy has a chance to shoot tons of shots at you and you can't do anything until a ship suddenly appears. By the time your found them, your a bit too close and they can bombard you thus taking lots of damage. I find the enemy able to shoot at you early is a bit of an unfair advantage as well as having more ships in their fleet.
  10. So far I'm enjoying the game, but there are a few difficulties I'm having. 1: How do you use torpedoes effectively. When using torpedo boats against the battleship, it always seems to dodge them and when I try to get closer to it, the battleship always damages my boats and even destroy the torpedo tubes. 2: How do you sink ships fast. There have been situations where I need to sink multiple ships and it takes me ages to sink one and chances are I won't have enough time to sink the others. 3: How do you build ships without them getting overweight. There was a situation where I tried to design a battleship with plenty of guns on it, but it ends up being overweight. However when I click the random design, its able to make a version with even more guns that I tried to make and it wasn't overweight. The system does seem a nit complicated and I find it would be handy to have some basic tips on how to do certain things in the naval assignment rather then leave it to guess work or luck. There will be a situation where the program designs a great ship and I complete a mission. But when I try the mission again I would fail loads of times and I wouldn't know how I won the last time. I wouldn't call it learning to get better. Its more like you got lucky the first time, but you will keep on failing.
