  1. I actually like this idea, as long as the surrogate repairs are heavier and bulkier than the crafted reps I kinda like the idea. +1 from me.
  2. Well then I stand corrected.. But - I'd argue you can find crazy people in all nations
  3. I sincerely doubt that the taking of NO matters to any1 know. Ancient history, just like the polish will be soon enough.....
  4. Fun fact. All three out of those five actually had a navy. Besides does poland matter? All polish players have an alt in VP anyway...
  5. OMG! Let's build a reservation for them!
  6. lol that should be a great headline for the Gazette
  7. I'd recommend them to move to a viable nation.. I hear Russia is nice this time of year....
  8. As far as I know the only PL players still active has their mains in VP.. Fair game as far as I'm concerned.
  9. Honestly, and this has nothing to do with the qoute I'm just taking the opportunity via the qoute, but I love the gazette and you should be commended for making it! Best loss of indiamans I've ever had!
  10. That's not the best part.. after they couldn't enter the PB they still turned around and ran... But... They are just PvE'ers so what to expect?
  11. Clan BOCAR is just that kind of clan that for better or worse forces a reaction from ppl.
  12. While NA is already running just go: ctrl alt delete -> jobslist -> close steam client/login -> open steam login -> enter new account -> open NA on the new account -> close steam client -> open...... well u get the gist.
  13. Want factions to loose importance? - Remove port bonus' or make it available for everyone regardless of port size (i.e. tie it to the crafter) - Make port maintenance matter -> larger factions pay larger fees (as OP suggest) - Balance mods better so no modules are required mods (Who here doesn't have a hundred master carpenters in their warehouse just in case u need a PB ship?) - Reduce the bonus for seasoned woods or as already suggested in this thread, make LH regen dependent on faction size -> larger faction less LH regen. Personally I'm more in favour of rebalancing the seasoned woods, the issue atm is that large factions already has full PB fleets of seasoned woods (not really that hard to come by, especially the more u are to grind the privateer fleets).
  14. Let it be known to all henceforth! Clan BOCAR is NOT recruiting! We have no ambitions! No goals! Nothing to lose and nothing to want! We have but one desire!! To revel in the fray of the battle! To die at the hands of a superior foe! To kill, to maim! We want neither gold nor wealth, but the endless glory of death! If we find you in a trader, we may let you go.. Demasted perhaps, but no worse for wear. Or we may kill you. None can tell but in the moment! If we have touched in places unseemly to other men please contact @kapteinsnabeltann and lodge your complaints! He will listen intently I'm sure! Since @kapteinsnabeltann has asked not to be liaison for domestic affairs, "They are all mad! MAD I SAY" was the one intelligeble sentence in the ramblings he muttered in TS.. I'm sure he meant the other danish clans doing PvE at Christiansted. In the future danish clans who want to deal with BOCAR domestically they can contact @Lars Kjaer.. I'm sure he's an agreeable fellow! Apparently @Lars Kjaer is not an agreeable Fellow... Who knew?! So the task of talking to the irrelevant PvE Clans inside Denmark-Norway falls to the newly reinstated diplomat @McKnight All hail the two kingdoms! All hail the Kings dalmatians!
  15. So kill the enemy fleet.. forts are immobile. EDIT: Have we reached the point where we can ask for changes to the gamemechanics whenever we can't win? Because in that case - my list of changes are long and still running the tap..
  16. There's only one real challenge on the server. Denmark-Norway and the crazy bunch! PvP is to be expected tho, everyone and their mother prawls the streets of Christiansted looking for fresh meat...
  17. A single snow isn't that hard to defeat, that being said - the snow is unrealistic both for it's class and in general. Disregarding the obvious fact - it should capsize every time a gust of wind hits it, it has the best turning radius of all 6th rates, add in the speed and the 18 guns + bow and stern chaser and u have quite simply an OP ship. I would suggest balancing the snow by reducing it's speed and turnrate significantly or make the rattlesnake generally available and the snow a permit ship.
  18. I would like to lodge a complaint @Gregory Rainsborough I was reading this excellent gazette addition whilst on an AFK trading run. The resulting lack of attention to winds and sails meant that I inadverdently drifted into a zone patrolled by most zealous privateer fleets. The resulting carnage has done little to improve my profitmargins and for some reason I find it hard to hire new sailors. Needless to say that I hold the editor of the Willemstad Gazette accountable for the loss of 4 indiamans with madagascar jewels! My books are painted in red, and I don't give a crap for the sailors lost - it's my profitmargins!!
  19. Move all ur assets to a freetown and close all national outposts, u'll lose buildings in ur current nation.. other than that - nothing.
  20. Oh I should've cornered that market but I was busy buying all the rum in Christiansted... I got more btw
  21. Do u have more? Thought the swedes were throwing it away in the memes section...
  22. I actually think another issue is the damage model, which is necessary for a 1st rate to actually be able to harm a 1st rate due to the mods/bonus stacking.. This also means that the fun low BR battles of the past is long gone tho as ppl will simply bring 1 or 2 firstrates for the circle game and 2nd/3rds for the rest.. I had fun in the PBs where not a single first rate was present..
  23. Perhaps ppl wouldn't leave nations if a nation could always be competitive. Fx. by tying port bonus points to the shipyard rather than the port - this way it's up to the individual player to increase their shipyards capacity rather than the nation. This could provide some stability to the nations. That being said - ppl has always ditched a losing nation and joined the stronger ones..
