  1. Thank you for answer. I am surprised there isn't multiplayer in UGCW. At least for LAN. I played mostly UGG in the past and liked it. But I am interested in more small scenarios with less as 10 units under command. To be able play without a lot of pausing. There is just "Battle for two hills" and "Corner your enemy". Also first part of the original battle could be considered this type of scenario. Other scenarios are too huge for my taste. Unfortunately, it seems every map needs detailed scripted AI to be interesting - so it wouldn't be easy to create some new small scenarios. To use existing map and putting there just some units. About the Nick Thomadis - did he made also some mods also for MTW1? Or only for RTW and MTW2?? My most favorite of TW series is MTW1. But actually I have troubles to run it under Win10. So I need to keep two old laptops with WinXP for MTW1 LAN battle. Excuse offtopic please.
  2. Hi Pandakraut. Are you capable to slow down the base speed also in Ultimate General Gettysburg? Do you have access to Unity source code of both UG games? I bought GOG versions of both games. Is your mod working also on GOG version, or only on STEAM version?
  3. I am happy I discovered this excellent game only now, 5 years after release. It is gem, now very well balanced and pollished. I have seen also the Civil War, but it is 3D. I have seen there a lot of improvements, but this game has it's own advantages. It is small, it runs smooth and fast on low-end hardware. I would appreciate more custom battles and also smaller battles where player can focus to few formations. It wouldn't be difficult to produce - the production team produced much more complicated battles. The distribution of additional custom battles would be also simple. I guess all data about battle are included in only one file. The maps consist enough of different terrain. The number of existing maps is adequate and usable for new custom battles. The advantage of this new multiplayer custom battles would be: it would be fun to play in Single player and also in multiplayer. I would appreciate at least ability to delete some units from existing custom levels just to make battles less crowded and easier to control without PAUSE.
  4. Hi JonnyH13. I discovered this game week ago and I like it very much. I bought it on some sale in GOG for just 2 EUR. I guess I have the most recent version where balance of gameplay is satisfying for me. I am very interested in modding it, it seems it consists of regular unity structure and files. Files of levels are not compressed and encrypted. I like small battles. I found in "custom battle" -> multiplayer maps there are two small maps and I would like to have more similar small battles. "Fight for two hills" and "Corner your enemy". It seems it is level8 and level16 files, both 23kB size. In Corner your enemy there are not victory points locations on map so level is even more simple. I guess the AI logic is scripted also in this level, despite there are not victory locations. The best possible solution would be if some of the developers would release source code or tool which he used to create this custom battles. For sure ability to change parameters of units would be also nice. But it is secondary priority for me, as for now. The balance of units seems playable for me.
