You could log in, but every action was laggy and buggy, then tried to leave port and was underwater... back in terminal loading screen again.  At least Steam authorization is working for the PVE server, maybe use the same protocol for PVP because PVE is having NO ISSUES, or Steam just does not like PVP

:o okay, i hope it be fix soon ^^

  2. headnod.

If it is something we dont like, we can show displeasure and work for the change. But the game is suddenly mixed review to mostly negative, that is not good for long term because the reviews can stay there but people who dont know will look at the review and unaware the changes after that.

  3. Hello, I know alot happened and I know the developers have good intention in the loki rune.

PvE may not have liked it and I am sorry many work was wasted but I still want to thank the team for removing it for us. It is not something we take for granted.

I think it was unfair to you guys that some evil people review bomb the game, and it I do not agree to call dev stupid or idiot. That is no way to treat people.

I cannot say for all PvE server but I know some people and me appreciate it ^^

in every game you see the name of a player .

Naval action is as far as i know the only game who hides the player name , and rank

do they have something to hide from you......

    they probably do .....

I think they do it to great effect in the PvP server but PvE server is different, not only does it not adhere to the "Peaceful server" description, it takes away the coop aspect of working with anyone and everyone during peaceful times. The player count is as low as it gets but locking people into nations further segregate the population.

PvE is a very kind server with every player helping every player, the enemy player aspect of it is a solid barrier and unneeded inconvenience. Not sure the rationale to take the PvP aspect of the game into PvE :(

  5. The PvE server is a small server but filled with kind players nonetheless.

It is a peaceful server as mentioned at the start screen.

I hope that enemy player is removed from all players so we can see their name and invite them to battle group. So we can all work together.

Calling players enemy players like the pvp just creates a divide :(

I hope that all players from other nation will be able to interact just like the players in our nation.

Interesting idea, too bad capturing a trade ship's cargo is rarely worth it. Traders are sunk for pvp missions mostly.

Even if i capture a purple indiaman with super upgrades and full of white oak logs there is no point in me capturing it. Because I have to take the ship back to a friendly port wich probably is long way.

And if indiaman is full of cargo mission items there is no point either, because I have to sail back and get rid of my warship first, then sail back again to deliver cargo and most likely get attacked trying to do so aswell.

:(  I understand, I just feel sad that I am enjoying the game but they are not because they lose their ship. Trader ship is easy to get but for some new players, it is everything they have.

I know some ships have more stuff than the attacking ship but I feel that doing so provides the option for traders to stay alive. It also makes robbers focus on the important things to steal.

I agree that econ mission are making it less worthy but there are people who have worthy stuff too but I cant help but think econ missions is an attempt at a solution to a problem where people lose too much doing trade. Lets say the game maintains the old trade system, then people wouldnt have to focus solely on just sinking ships for medals, then this solution would have provided more dynamic to instances.

Without a system like this, there are 2 options, kill the trader (all the advantage) or let the trader go (get absolutely nothing for kindness). This drives people to generally 1 single most effective solution, kill everyone. With a system like this, there is more variation of options, there are place for negotiations and more options for players to go with.

A linear solution can only bring about linear gameplay.

  7. Currently, we can only inspect ship after we have a Kill or after winning a boarding.

I am a pirate and I am thinking it will be nice to have a feature to inspect ship also by pressing [x] when near to the ship and stationary. Because I want to give some players a chance to go home with their ship and I just want their loot.

In the past, some piracy did not require the pirates to sink all their prize. Some would just steal and let them go.

    Suggested way of doing it

Slide 1. Trader has to activate by pressing something similar to the F10 key. for example, I used F9 key.

Slide 2. Once trader activate the key, the enemy sees it as similar to surrender. The [x] inspect ship option appears for the attacker view.

Slide 3. Similar to trading, the trader have the approval for inspection. This is their chance to show they are not fooling around and allow to be inspected. However, the cancel button is available if the trader wants to try their luck at running this time. They can choose to board too if they want.

Slide 4. When trader confirm inspection, the attacker sees the same as inspection screen but cannot transfer crew, sink ship or switch ship. only select cargo and transfer over.

Slide 5. The trader also sees the same inspect cargo screen but the cancel and confirm button is removed. The trader can see what is stolen from them but cannot see the attacker hold. The trader can interrupt this inspection by boarding or surprise attack using [ or ] to fire the broadside.

    What happens after

Once the attacker clicks confirm from stealing the cargo, the trader has some time of immunity from being boarded to prevent griefing.

If the trader interrupts the inspection process the first time, there will be no second time. The only way to escape is through normal instance escape.

Once inspection is finished, the trader gets their nation flag again and the trader can escape.

  8. Good Idea!

Ships costs too much and the zones are usually out of the way, cept Tumbardo. Otherwise, I've never found myself conveniently sailing past any patrol zone since they are so out of the way. Maybe except from Kingston to La Tortue? The inconvenience to get there coupled by the costs is one such reasons I avoid them.

The ships may simply be pixels but they take lots of time for me to get. I'm not going to pick a fight I'd lose over that, the costs put into it is far too great. I could steal an AI to fight but that would, as mentioned, take some time. The AI, tbh, can be quite a bitch to kill, possibly from my lack of skill but certain things still make them less enjoyable to engage with. So in the end, there isn't much to go by except to by.

This suggession is a good idea so I support it.

  9. Ahoy captains and devcaptains!

I've been playing this game for about 200 hours and I must say it is a lovely game.

I enjoy the thing you can do with the free camera but I would like to propose a feature request that I think may be achievable in the near future.

    Currently in game

    - It is not a big issue but we all know that when we scroll in, we end up kinda on deck but somewhere in the middle of the ship, floating near the mainsail.

    Feature request

    - My request is that to zoom in but instead of stopping where it is, it can be default zoom into the helm of the ship. I tried using the free camera but it is stationary while the ships bobs around sometimes clipping into the floor.

    -An example is attached

    - I am hoping that scrolling-in in the future can give us this really cool view at the helm everytime.

    Misc

    - I am not too picky if the wheel doesnt turn in this view because that is so minor it can always be implemented in the distant future.

    - However, i think having this view adds aesthetically to the game experience. You are after all the captain of your ship, it'll be nice to have a good overall view =D

That is all for my feature request. I hope it is a decent request as I have not found any threads on this during my prior search.

    Fair winds and following seas,

    Captain Personthing.
