Performed some sort of windows update, it seems to be working now. Sorry to have bothered you, it only took me like 3 hours to figure it out.

Uninstall & reinstall of both NA and Steam did not resolve the issue.

Built a new computer, could play NA on it last night, but today when I try to play it won’t allow me to join as soon as I select war server & gives me that error code. I can still log in and play from the old computer. Maybe I uninstall & reinstall steam and NA?

It occurs when I select the war server.

I’ve been reading Kent’s Bolitho series, currently on book 15 and I like them. Great stories, characters, plenty of action. Yes, gives you a good feel for the era. Not to tedious to read. I recommend, start with book 1 “midshipman Bolitho”

Lost completely or temporarily disabled/unavailable for production? Will they need to be completely rebuilt from zero if the port is captured by a clan of the same nation? Or will they return once the port is recaptured?

Perhaps what you are really finding annoying and time consuming is the transport of goods/books/reps/ships around the map? Perhaps a better solution than supercharging speed would be the ability to hire some AI (for a fee) to transport the goods for you. Maybe pay a bit more to transport with AI escort. Goods would be placed on AI transport and arrive some time later, if the AI makes it to the destination without being engaged/sunk/pirated by a player. This would add content and targets, as well as removing boring, time consuming tasks away from valuable gameplay time.

This is a great solution to a non problem.

It was just an observation, and some advice. No idea why Fleet ship captains are so incompetent, or why the game is so buggy at times.

The fleet ships are not good sailors, they do dumb things. Don’t use good ships for fleet fighters, just use throwaway ships

Try updating your video card driver. Worked for me with similar problem

U can take a 10 min trip and get 40k + dubs. Not really what I would call "a long time", and u instantly have 30k profits. It’s not instantly, it’s 10 minutes (3000 real per minute)
