I have had some great fights against captains who refuse to surrender REGARDLESS of the odds. I have escaped from 5th rates in my Trader and fought off fast soft wood 6th rates with carro armed t Brigs. Those who hoist the white flag should get nothing for quitting without a fight. Rather, why not increase rewards for fighting and trying at lower BR ? Encourage a brave do or die attitude and NOT a 'quit because I cant win' attitude. Quitters should get what they deserve. NOTHING.

Agree. More Russians = more rear areas for attacking soft Russians which his good. Rvr BR should be lowered a bit but it's fine if you want rvr then join the big nation's. If you want it easy with lots of resources join the big nation's. If you want a meaningful challenge, join the small nation's. If you want to be constantly attacked by your own sides alts sitting outside dock telling their mates when you leave port......join the pirates.

You probably don't know this but it is STEAM not the devs that allow alts. The devs have no control other than alt abuse like sinking yourself for gain etc. Other alts practises like trade etc are completely legit. Some of the biggest players in the game have several alts and it is STEAM who permit this.

Thanks for your efforts. I buy all the DLC to support what you do, plus I wrote a nice review. i want the game to continue to grow. Crafting is secondary and I get that. That's fine IMO. Combat is good and the stuff your adding is great. Aggressive AI would great, it annoys me that i sail through first rates......and big fleets and they do nothing they should tag the day dreamers.....BUT maybe drop Loki if you do this ? Please continue adding more trading options to the game if you can. This brings in a lot of non hard core players and adds more ships to the OW. AND by the way most people actually in game, don't agree with most of the loudest shouters on this forum so keep doing your thing. Good Job Devs. 👍

Complete hog wash. You say you let 2 Indiamans in fleet go. Then have a worthy fight with his warship. Except he has no perks and no chance of winning but that's ok with you because you can beat your chest and say that was a real fight. Don't make me laugh. Your clan is big enough. Build your traders, sail them and escort them. Stop trying to change the game to suit your own afk lazy playstyle.

This is a very bad idea. You say that in your opinion attacking traders is not a good fight and should not be rewarded. I hunt everything in OW and I attack and sink traders and I enjoy it. Your idea would just let big clans like yours ship goods in relative saftey and if they got sunk you would just send more. New players find trader hunting an easier way into PVP and your idea would deny any reward to them for sinking an lgv or fleet of unescorted trader brigs. Why? Because you don't like it ? You can already escort your trader by taking them in fleet. You say it's boring many find this exciting. Your idea would also remove yet more PVP from this PVP server. This would be a rich players ultimate AFK and would take players from the OW. We need more PVP opportunities not less even if you think they are boring or not fair fights. Your attempt to stop people commenting negatively by saying that those who oppose this idea are somehow lesser players because they attack traders is very transparent. I sail mainly solo all over the map and I attack and kill everything I can and I like to sinking traders as well as warships, unarmed, unescorted, armed, escorted whatever. I get sunk to be revenge fleets and that's ok to.

Make this a DLC once per day redeemable. Leave it as it is regarding when and what ship you get, it's meant to be fun not a way of allowing trolling. Do not show who is in the AI ship. Some people rely on their 'name' to help them win battles. Loki rune gives : Uncertainty to PVE saftey. PvP exp to newer player with an advantage to them. (Don't allow players to have mods/reps/etc.) Fun for the Lokist. Better rewards for PVE. it's a win win imo.

Don't confuse new players and veteran players with what you do. If your to cowardly or afraid to use your good ships then that's on you. I' m neither a veteran or that good. I use my gold ship. WHEN IT SINKS, which it will I will cry for a while. It's pixels. Stop worrying about what other people are doing and play the game!!

Gear fear is the biggest factor in losing s battle. Two player will always be different skill levels. Mods are available for all. To try and dumb down the game for some kind of fair system which negates another players inherent skilli is simply stupid and not needed and frankly impossible.

I like RNG it gives is poor players a slim chance of a greatship. I recently got my first gold 5/5 ship ever!! I also have a purple herc. 😁

This forum is becoming full of fairness and equal BR calls. Guys this game has a sandbox MMO (pvp) war server. It also has a sandbox MMO (pve) peace server. Choose one to play in.

You can play the game without board mods. You really don't read anyone's post at all. Stop ranting and crying like a baby. Of course the solution to a mod is another mod. It's called choice you fool and that's what makes a game! Don't get boarded in the first place but if you do, why do you think you should win without having any boarding mods. That's just Dumb.

So it should. Fit some disengage mods and you will be fine.

What I find works against boarding ships is to keep your speed up and manual sail against them while firing at masts or sails. If they start to turn into the wind even though you are manual sailing against them, don't depower or drop sails but neutralize them and turn with the boarder. He will 9 times out of 10 sail right past you and you can turn and rake his stern. Then press f this sorts your sails out for you and your ship will quickly accelerate. The requin is easiest to avoid just stay upwind of him. He's useless then. Also as others have said there are anti boarding mods which help you survive a rage boarder and disengage but I find it's not that hard to avoid a boarder and especially a rage boarder who will fight like a ship with no mods at all.

I am a real new player. 200 hours and I just don't agree with anything you post here. You make a very bold statement about how you can't do this and can't do that. I completed the tutorial and had 120 crew. I had a load of reps and money. I also play solo. I left Charleston and opened Shroud. I sail from there in a basic cutter doing missions and trying to fight other players sometimes in a snow. I have made 200000 reals and 850 Dabloons. I have a stock of great mod drops and other bits and pieces. I have now opened a couple of more ports and have tried some limited trade runs. This game is a blast, just don't expect everything to be given to you and expect to work for your progress. Best game I have ever played.

In the 1700s if a couple of big ships found a small ship they captured it. If 5 small ships found 1 small ship they captured it. If organised Royal Navy ships came across untrained pirate rabble they sank them. I am ex military and Life is not about always being fair. It's called the war server and the war server is not for care bears. They have the peace server. Man up and embrace the gank.

Your straw polls in a limited forum of extreme views, mean nothing other than allow people to have their pitch fork moment. Constructive criticism is the way to go.
