With poland now properly off the map i think my suggestion is even more relevant, it seems to fill almost all your criteria than the flag. You can pretty much attack anyone (due to not many other polish players) you will be pretty much relying on buying and capturing ships

Use poland as ur real pirate nation experiment, they have no ports basically

Make china a hardcore nation like russia prussia and poland, that is if you want it added, all non historic caribbean powers/colony holders, should be hardcore imo is the fairest way to balance history and gameplay.

We dont have enough players to split the servers anymore, thats why there was a server merge pre release. If player count picks up then maybe it could be an idea to have a “super hardcore” server, doesnt take my fancy but w/e you want to play. But as i said i dont think it is a good idea to consider it until there is a much higher player count

Haven't read the rest but from what i have seen you must consider the balance between playability and simulation. Consider the real affects this will have on players attitude on how they will play the game.

i must disagree here, the ambiguity of not knowing adds some fog of war to the game which in my opinion, adds an extra strategic layer to RvR

Wiping would not change this fact, if you wipe then bigger nations will just grind up the resources quicker again anyway, it would leave you in pretty much the same situation in terms of the amount of resource, thats just the nature of a multiplayer sandbox more players = more resources (as a general rule that is of course)

tbf the leopard has a lot less firepower than most other 4th rates so it seems only reasonable that it has a different strength

DD is in a decent place at the minute, the previous nerf from a while ago was defiantly needed lets also remember what other 2 point perks you can take if you choose not to rely on DD, Rigging specialist and Defence Drill come to mind that I would rather run that DD they are much more useful, if you reduce DD even more you may as well remove it due to it becoming too weak compared to the other perks.

We lose some of krake and toxic to GB (ik cid didnt go there straight away but you get my point), prussia isnt dead we just dont have the numbers and experiance to challenge bug rvr nations and we cant rvr anyone of equal skill/size without every man and their dog showing up 😂

Imo i agree with some points being added to capitals but if you 45 pt capital it doesnt encourage players to move out hence why 25 or 35 pts would be better since it would mean you can only craft “ok” ships in capital

Giving everyone 55 point port removes the point of having those ports. Maybe if you want to go down that route maybe have capitals be 25 or 35? With rng bonuses? as for china as nation, i think adding it as a “hardcore” nation would be the best way to do it and would also mean it could be done without a full reset(although this would make it very hard for china to find its feet)

One thing that helped me get involved more in understanding pvp was going on national teamspeak and tagging along with some of the “big bois” and learning from them, bearing in mind i only went out in like fir/fir or sab/sab 5th rates(before port investments) you dont need uber mega ships to have fun or do stuff in pvp, ESPECIALLY if you do it in a group. then again its your game choose to play what you enjoy, its what we are all here for 😄. I must say though you are definatly missing out if you never try pvp and maybe even RvR.

So this is a pretty simple solution which i think would aid smaller nations become more viable and would also allow bigger “coalitions” to exist. allow the adding of clans from other nation to clan “X” friends list - this would allow them to join defensive PBs of ports owned by clan “X” -Allow them to help clan X offensive hosti missions and PBs - Change name of ships on friendly clan in enemy nation maybe show “Ally Player” on OW or smth similar - To stop some loopholing put a cooldown on removing friends maybe 1 or 2 weeks - Have the friend request need to be approved on both clans list will add more to this later as writing up in work, feel free to disagree with the idea all i ask for is a basic level of respect and no insults

why can we not have the best of both systems, you are able to loot in battle and after battle you get a screen of the remaining lootable ships holds? I think this would satisfy the annoyance of after battle looting and we still get to loot mid battle if we are in a rush The only time this becomes dicey is if a ship is killed but their comrades ensure the enemy cant loot it in battle, should they still be able to get the loot afterwards even though the enemies comrades stopped them?

We going to have a dlc to spoon feed people next too?

Bring back the old BR ratings for PBS, it meant that peopl actually had to change up their ships and also allowed for smaller nations to RvR since there were less in each battle. Keep maybe afew MAJOR ports at the numbers to need full 1st rates, but i think this game was more fun for RvR when the PBs did not need 25 players to fill + screeners
