  1. No 50 pvp or 1 mil seems like a good idea.. (ok mebbe 2 mil) most of the peeveeps are willing to toss around pvp marks but not gold...
  2. The point is not that these missions aren't impossible. Here is the scenario: You've just done X number of missions in the damn cutter while everyone else you see around you is sailing them damn big ships and you want one!! "Game must be much better in one of those". You head over to Port Y and can finally afford that Snow in the showroom.. happily you have have gold left for guns and mebbe some repairs. woohoo! So you select the 6th rate mission at the lowest level. You jump in and wtf... 3 of them... So here you are in your first square rigged, multi decked ship, possibly no permanents installed, probably no idea of best point of sail and thrown into a situation you haven't been in before. You lose that ship... you learned a lesson, probably along the lines of "i had no clue what to do against those 3" and now you don't have enough gold left so back to the cutter.. Instead you log off to watch tv...

  4. He won't have any knowledge slots open... no permanents filled, or perks likely and he still will not have a 'feel' for aiming... As I said in the opening post...
  5. This is the time to make our suggestions, for years UI suggestions may have been put on the shelf and are likely so numerous... Lets bring them back up so they are fresh...
  6. Everything needs the ability to sort by different means. The warehouse is currently terrible, when you select sort it does so by category and thats about it, nothing alphabetic. Ship crafting, I'd suggest by alphabet and then add different methods such as rate etc. With the new UI colours etc could also be incorporated for the different items, ship rates, books, modules etc as well.
  7. Well allow clan lead to plot his clans peak population on a chart including timezone. A clan's peak activity period is critical information.
  8. Yes these are not fleet missions, i have questioned different players on this several times over the last few days
  9. I have been advising players that run into this to F11 and report it btw.
  10. I am seeing repeated complaints of players getting their first 6th rate ship, and doing the lowest level 6th rate missions and facing 3 enemies... That's a good way to take the first real upgrade away from a new player. Missions are supposed to start out easy and get harder as the player gains experience and skill.. not the reverse like we see in NA today. Lots of players can post tips and suggestions but the majority of you (especially in this forum) can no longer put yourself in the new player's shoes...
  11. Danes and swedes have more than 2 protected ports, though thats only due to proximity to the zones it looks like. Though granted the zones overlap alot, France has at least 10 ports in safezone it looks like. SPain 13... 11 for GB, 10 for US hoping Iroquois map is accurate it looks like while dutch has 4... I agree there are too many, perhaps all nations should be 2 each, just make the zones abit larger
  12. I haven't noticed any, most do not show crafter name so those would be npc, i will have to take a closer look in kpr shop next time in port.

  14. WHat? you built green ships? I thought that was not possible only blues or better were player crafted.
  15. May have suggested this before... but not only would it be great for analysing battle performance and tactics, it might provide a decent tool for support.

They are pve'ing to get the perceived advantages the pvp leet are flaunting daily, such as the best books, and mods etc. Perhaps they feel they cannot compete at an equal level gear wise they have no choice but to pve for the stuff they perceive they need. (or unlock knowledge so they can even equip that leet skillbook) Real or not...
  17. Thats not pvp... thats ganking the pve player that didn't want to pvp you in the first place....
  18. Very little moderation needed, its the same as player names, a player reports, but again the options i listed would allow people to hide all OTHER player's ship names if they wished.
  19. Well one of the options I gave was so that players could hide others players ship names if they wished, not that i can control what you see. That way they wouldn't have to see "whatevah" but anyways. I don't buy the "too much for the system and database" arguement. The options I listed were not for me to SHow my ship name, it was for all players to have these options to show or NOT other player's ship names. Like in most games where you have the option of the information you see above their avatar, I have the option to see what I wish.
