Stimmt, grosses Lob an die User für die anständigen Reaktionen. Meist kommt man aus den Shallows raus indem man in die Richtung fährt aus der man gekommen ist.

Guys can we please stop to reinforce statements by comparing this game with real wars or realism in general. It is a game and it should be still enjoyable for the majority of the players. Its like those guys that argued with realism in PotBS, a game with Zombies, Ghosts and Voodoo.

If you don't put restrictions on ganking there will only be the zerg remaining in the game. All smaller groups will leave. I don't see how a 10vs1 or 20vs7 is contributing to the quality of the game. I don't bother getting ganked once in a while but before those mechanics where introduced 90% of the fights we had where ganks where 1 side didn't even had the chance to win or escape. If the majority of the fights i have are ganks i don't see any reasons to play this game, also there is no reward for winning such a fight, i don't need xp, i don't need gold and sinking a guy that hasn't even a chance is not even close to satisfying.

Preis wird durch Angebot und Nachfrage bestimmt, Solange die Leute bereit sind mehrere Millionen Gold für ein Schiff zu bezahlen, warum nicht? Geld ist in dem Spiel nix wert also weg damit. Sehe da absolut kein Problem drin ehrlich gesagt.

In the short time after that patch i had more good fights than in the whole time before. I don't believe this is a coincidence. Some ppl that are against the mechanic argue hat numbers have to matter others argue that it doesn't prevent ganks. So basically its the same situation as before the patch from your point of view, why should the mechanic be removed if nothing has changed? OS-discipline is now important, if you stay together and tag defensely everything is fine.

the 1,5 br-mechanics are pretty cool, we had very good fights since the change. Battle could stay open for a bit longer maybe 3 or 5 minutes.

Jaja die guten alten Tage. Hier verkloppe ich mit nem lvl38 Schiff lvl 50 Fregatten, nachdem Portalus an der Defense geschraubt hatte: Hier versenken wir eine illegal erworbene Piraten-1st rate: Und hier noch random-pewpew gegen Frogs: PotBS hatte damals viel richtig gemacht aber ein paar Sachen haben sie nie in den Griff bekommen unter anderem Avcom. Ich fand die Kampfmechanik an sich sehr gut, man konnte von 6 gegnerischen Schiffen ge-1-shotted werden wenn man nicht aufpasst, man konnte mit Wissen und Skill auch einen grossen Vorteil gegenüber dem Gegner haben, das ist bei NA nicht so krass. So geschwitzt wie bei PotBS habe ich bisher bei keinem anderen Spiel, abgesehen von Eve Online vielleicht, das hab ich aber zu kurz gezockt.

The "all" battle chat doesn't seem to work for some players, team chat is fine though.

Dagegen, gibt meiner Meinung nach noch zu viele Fraktionen im Spiel, können locker 2,3 raus.

We are a german PvP-Society originally founded in Pirates of the Burning Seas. We only invite ppl we met in PotBS or friends of our current players (german speakers). Well then split forum in carebear roleplayers forum where ppl can discuss the painting of the ships and a pvp-forum where ppl can discuss how it burns when we p-v-p. edit: To all the guys that feel offended by trolls and whatnot, don't play the adult-card, if you where adults you would just overread or ignore those posts, i don't get it how one can be offended by some sentences in a pc-game-forum. edit2: PotBs turned off forums for similar reasons, that was the final nail in the coffin.

Forum PvP is essential part of the game, what do i do now while sailing hours and hours on empty sea? If ppl get salty its their own fault, just ignore all the complaints or remove report function for this forum.

Well i am glad i didn't waste a pb-slot for cumana as ordered and got some awesome pvp instead

Good forum-pvp 9/10 ingame-pvp 1/10 Portbattles should be 3 minutes sailing away from the port.

WoW same for us, we never see Swedes there and we sailed the exact area for hours. All we saw was a loneley renomee and a frigate that escaped. Sea is just too big to find other players i guess.

if there is peace with sweden and all other nations i'm gonna quit. Yesterdays PvP was 2 hours of sailing around chasing ghosts. Swedish players seem to sit in harbours waiting for some dutch to buy a flag.

Wir sind nicht die holländische Nation, ich glaube das verwechseln hier einige, wir sind eine handvoll Spieler die fast ausschliesslich für PvP unterwegs sind. Uns ist es egal ob wir in Unterzahl kämpfen oder in Überzahl, mir ist sogar lieber wenn ich gegankt werde als das was einige HRE-Member da abgezogen haben, war ja offensichtlich auch nicht das erste mal sonst könnte ich vielleicht drüber weg sehen. Eure Mercuries waren schon über alle Berge, die hätten wir nichtmal bekommen wenn ihr uns nicht getaggt hättet, also benutzt das bitte nicht als Ausrede. Wenn ihr was aufm Kasten hättet würdet ihr wenigstens zugeben dass das ein dreckiges Verhalten ist. Keiner will dass das Spiel den Bach runter geht, dafür müssen die Spieler allerdings auch was tun bzw. unterlassen etwas zu tun.

Yes i also think this war is useless, we should stop it asap so everyone can get back to do missions. This pvp-stuff and rvr is so boring and NPCs are way more skilled than swedes.
