    Santo Tomé de Guyana PB

The Dutch had quite some numbers today at Santo, gladly their screning fleet couldn't tag us because of the lack of BR.
We joined the PB and had the wind advantage but 2 1st rates less. But still won. GG!

Let's see what we will be written in the gazette about this! :D

    "That facking wind" :P

Not having the desired effects of ports falling into other nations hands.  Screening is almost impossible and not worth doing.  I see the value of these fights on the PVE server,  but here it seems unnecessary.

Perhaps then it is time for @admin to extend the amount of time until the port can regain hostility to a week? That'll give people a chance to organise an attack on the ports that are lost.

Its content for you if you setup an alt clan in the other nation and quickly grab hostility on that port when it comes up. This way as owner of the port you can restrict access to the ports investment and even destroy all investment in the port.

Basically what it means now is that a strong group of players have a bunch of alts ready with forged papers to move quickly to a nation that has lost a port to AI, so they can raise hostility as soon as the window opens.

Shouldn't piss so many people off then :P

The biggest fear of big nations losing ports regularly to the AI is that eventually people will setup alt clans in that nation and snatch the port from the AI as the hostility window is random, and who ever can get enough points in the hostility will own the port after the battle. All they have to do then is to restrict access to other clans in that nation to render the port ineffective.

For example today the Nassau hostility window opened at 18:00, so if a group of Swedish alts had set up in Russia they could of had a good chance of raising the hostility enough so they got the port, and there is nothing the rest of the Russian nation could do to stop them.

They weren't Swedes, I'll let you know more in my next issue :)

You mean the 2 ports we own?  We actually had to bump them back because we can't all be on that early.  We defend our later timers.  Not hide behind them.

I'm referring to those REDS timers that have been steadily heading into your timezone.

    1. PB BR limits are pretty diverse now. I like it the way it is currently.

    2. Seasoned woods are fine, they are not game breaking. The slight S-wood advantage is almost never the deciding factor in battles.

    3. If you are bad at fighting, a S-wood ship isn't going to change that. It will just make your mistakes more costly.

    4. If you take an Oak/Oak ship to anything, you are doing something wrong.

    5. If you never get picked for a PB then either get better ships, become a better fighter, or find a new clan/nation.

    6. If you can't afford to lose it, don't sail it. Ships are cheap and easy to replace if you are in a semi-organized clan and willing to chip in to help others.

    7. If you wan't to play a game like darksouls, then go play darksouls. NA should not try to be like darksouls.

    8. Reals are easy to make, dubs are easy to earn, resources are easily found. Naval Action has never been easier for casual players like me to thrive. I don't even have to do trade goods runs to be able to afford all the ships and upgrades I could want.

"diverse" There's 3? There used to be dozens in the past.

Well to be correct you were kind of hiding behind the polish port, intended or not that's only you who knows. Only if you have Cano Araguao you can get missions for Santo Tomé de Guyana ;)

If you took the American port it would have allowed you to skip it and attack it directly. You wouldn't want to upset the Russians though as Russians don't like their vassals fighting each other :P

*night flip ports when you set US evening timers.  Be sure to clarify that point for everyone.

And you've been setting evening timers (with that other obviously US based clan PRIV) because you can't beat the Russian or Prussian fleets taking your ports during EU times and you're trying to timer dodge.  Now that you're losing ports in the 3-6 range....you've gone back to the 11-14 one.

Just so everyone is on the same page here    😉

Bit like those Russian ports whose timers have slowly been getting later and later eh?

I am surprised that the losses of Dutch ports to the U.S has not been mentioned as they have mentioned the Prussians many times during the latest Gazette release. This is truly biased journalism because he isn't telling the true state of affairs that the dutch are dealing with. They are losing to both the U.S which should be in the news as a nation coming back to being a major player in the world and Prussia which is also staking its claim in the world.

US nightflip our ports and win empty port battles.

No-one cares about losing those ports.

The only time the Dutch did contest you lost and lost hard.

You are kidding yourself if you think anyone respects the US any more for what you've done lol

Well must say dutch have my respect. Pick a fight with Russia and they want one with Prussia at the same time. Oh my the size of those balls.

Dutch didn't start the fight with Prussian. They just joined ze Ruskies in attacking us.
