  1. This as been suggested many times, but more like the function of the clan warehouse. Saying something couldn't be abused by alts is a huge stretch. I would love this honestly. Don't agree with taxes.
  2. The Indiaman use to be classed as a 4th rate, not sure why it was lowered in class. So when you compare the Indiaman to ships in its ORGINAL class it makes since. You have not provided a reason on why to lower the crew on the Indiaman. The high crew it has does not create a balance problem. However it does provide player the ability to protect their cargo that other traders do not. such as fully man sails, cannons, and boarding prep. An Indiaman outfitted to be a "pirate" ship requires the large crew. The Indiaman offers players the ability to truly be pirates as they get a high number of crew to board enemy ships good cannons decent speed and the ability to enter any port. Instead of attempting to limit content and different play styles make a suggestion that adds more content and gives player more options. SUCH AS instead of modifying the Indiaman the devs create an "Indiaman Refit" which would lower crew count to roughly 250, lower the class of cannons, increase cargo weight. This would be the opposite of the LGV refit which makes the ship ready for combat.
  3. Cut off dates are more flexible then people realize. It more about technology cut off then just a date. IF the USS Pennsylvania were to be added it would have to be a rare drop from 1st rate epics as well as be slow with like a 8kn base speed so LO/WO would go a max of 6kns. Technology wise the ship would work well in the game. Her cannon load out would make her the most powership in the game and if she would have ever seen combat it would have been a battleship of the time. The American way BIG SHIP BIG GUNS. The only reason the "cutoff" is to insure people didn't try to push steam ships in the game because they launched closed to the cut off date. Personally I feel the ship will eventually get added once they finish the game and work out all the bugs in the mechanics. If not the ship would break current mechanics. So instead of pushing for the ship now lets keep pushing for the game to fix the broken systems before we go an add ships they will end up breaking the already destroyed ship balancing.
  4. using alts in pvp or RVR is still against the Rules. However there isn't enough evidence here to prove it was a person using an alt on opposing side.

  6. Removing the name of the wreck is simple. Its not like they use the ship model of what ever ship the wreck say it is. Having the shipwreck weight being within +-100 weight of the chosen ship would be fantastic, but a much more complex fix then simply editing the code to name all shipwrecks "shipwreck". If they want some depth to the game they can add ship names for the RNG to pull from. Could be real ships or just a list of randomness the Devs team comes up with. The depth of which they can go is endless with shipwrecks. Many players would love a good depth to them such has the ships being named. Coming across a random ship wreck out at sea. Again the possibilities are endless.
  7. Actually WE wouldn't as long as the game new it would know the numbers. The game doesn't allow you to board if you are over a certain speed or over a certain distance. It would simply do the same determined defender. This would be a nice feature but something that would come about near release if added at all.
  8. Your right not knowing a ships crew number would also "attempt" help counter player you just try to board and not really fight. It would simply force player to learn standard crew sizes for ships which many already do just like they know what many of the ships are buy looking at them.
  9. if the 4th rate mission is only spawning 5th rates it would seem very clear to simply get a 3rd rate mission. and since missions are done by rank and not by ship rates all you need to do is get a higher rank mission until you find the mission rewards you are looking for. This isn't a bug just the missions have changed and they said the mission would be slightly messed up until the next big update. when missions would simply match what ever ship you are in and add ships as people join. This would accommodate the new BR system. Just because the game changes and you don't like it doesn't make it a bug.
  10. People forget there is a recently killed tag that prevents any rewards being given if attacked while being recently killed. Unless the raider is after the trader ships them selves there wont be any risk for the battle. This feature does however save the trader a lot of time in longer trader routes. Currently if you do not have a friendly port near by you have wasted sometime hours sailing to that port only for it to be for nothing and you lost a ship in the process. AS A TRADER I welcome this update.
  11. With the increase talk about paints and the newly added DLC I felt this needed to be added back into the mix. Bumping instead of adding another thread. Cosmetic DLC is highly requested and as I stated would generate the much needed income needed to further the progress of the games development.
  12. These server crashes are getting a bit to frequent. Does the server instability mean that the update is coming sooner rather than later and its causing crashes??? Luckily for most US players the server crashes are happening during EU prime time, sadly EU players make up a large portion of the player base.

  14. bring back the one repair (one each for sail, hull, and crew) per battle. Battles where way more challenging and people thought more before engaging in PVP.
  15. The connie was designed to be able to over take frigates and smaller boats and out run the bigger ones. The just isn't the case anymore. Basically the was this this. Anything that could catch you, you could kill. If you cant kill it you can out run it. After all the changes to the game the connie no longer has this ability.
  16. I see the argument for leaving the Connie a 4th rate but it needs a serious turn and speed buff to give it the edge it needs to be on par with all other 4th rates, Added that the Wasa is bumped up to 3rd rate
  17. There are a few issues with the 4th rate ships. Several new 4th rates have been added to expand the class. This has brought about an unbalanced class. Simply reclassing a couple ships. First thing is to upgrade the WASA to a 3rd rate which will add depth to that class and remove the overpowered ship from 4th rate PBs. With this move you also increase the BR rating of the Wasa. Many players complain that the Wasa is overpowered for a 4th rate and needed to be reclassed. It doesn't effect its PVP abilities only locks it out of 4th rate Port Battles. Second thing is move the Constitution to a 5th rate since it is classed as a frigate. Now that there are several other 4th rate besides just the Connie and the Aggie to choose from. Also increase the base speed by roughly 2 knots to allow it to compete with other 5th rates. Also lowering the BR rating by 50. Justification for reclassing the Connie is simple. Before the other 4th rates added to the game and the Aggie wasn't craftable player needed a craftable 4th rate. Since times have changes and the addition of the Indefatigable to the 5th rates and the multiple craftable 4th rates including the Aggie, The Connie is no longer needed as a 4th rate and can join its proper class. Why bring up the Indef.? Simple, The cannon load-out for both the Connie an Indef. are almost the exact same mine a few cannons. SO why is the indef. a 5th rate and the Connie still a 4th rate when they bring the same guns to a fight.
  18. This is a feature that needs to be added. Micro-transactions like these are extremely profitable.
  19. This is designed for those who have the ability to constantly put $5 - $10 a week into the game. Also the reasoning I suggested putting them in packs of 3. Personally I would only out fit my ships with what I suggested that are only used in PBs or for PVE grinding. I wouldn't waste my money putting these on ships that I would lose the first time I take the into OW PVP. OTHER players would do such a thing. However, If these does come to the game I would purchase the paints and sails for all my clan to use in PBs. I'm sure several other clan leaders would do the same. Again this is designed to further development of the game quickly while bringing an aspect to the game that will help bring new players in and keep them interested in the game.
  20. This is why we have suggestion topics and why it is highly important that players voice their opinions about the suggestion and derail the conversation. As I feel people would pay to replace there paints when their ships sink others do not. IT is great for the devs to get a fill for what the player base is willing to speed money on. I don't see these becoming anything like skill books at first just do to the amount of coding it would require to have an item created (to it could be stored like learned skill books) for every possible color combo for every ship in the game. With 30 plus ships that is a lot of stuff to add. NOW this may happen after release but in current state of the game I believe it would be best to have the paints be on time use.
  21. For everyone attempting to derail this suggestion on how to promote more players to PVP needs to remove them selves from the discussion. I have seen far to many Great suggestion that would help bring more players into the game that have gotten lost due to the few "lobbyist" who do not understand MMORGS and their need for both PVP and PVE players. This games has a strong PVE player base but is lacking in PVP players. To solve this problem we need to make PVP more inviting and more rewarding. Any attempt to remove PVE content will not help the game but only drive players away and end up killing the game which is not want anyone wants. As a player base in a developing game we have to help the devs create a game for everyone that is fun and rewarding to play. IF we attempt to create a game that appeals to only a very small portion of the player game then we will never see this game to release. The devs created NA legends to appeal strictly to the PVP players. As I bought this game for both the PVP and the PVE aspects I have no interest in playing Legends. Any suggest I make for this game is to help the game develop and bring in more players. The more players we bring the better the game will be. THE MOST IMPORTANT PART IN HELPING THE GAME IS TO STOP THE TOXIC BEHAVIOR. Far to many players have left the game due to the few people who are incredibly toxic. If you have no clue what I am talking about the you may be part of the problem. If you offended by the sentence before this one then you are the problem. Now everyone please stay on topic. WHICH IS allowing PVP marks to be use to make copies of skill books already learned.
  22. Its nice to see someone who understands the MMORPG style games. Far too many people who lobby on the forums for content have never played a single hour on a successful MMORPG. My suggest does not take away form PVE at even the slightest. It only adds more content to PVP and makes access to PVE content easier for those who do not wish to PVE. PVE player still have the option to grind for the skill books while PVP players have the option of paying PVE players to make copies of books they have already learned preventing them from having to engage in the PVE they so hateful despise. Personally I hate the PVE grind but I also understand for this game to succeed there has to be a strong PVE and PVP presence for any server to survive.
