  1. Since the Order's presence in the Caribbean was under the sovereignty of the King of France, make a suggestion in the Flags thread to add some of the Maltese flags to the French Nation. Otherwise we are all waiting for Naval Action 2 which is going to take place in the Mediterranean including all of the nations you mentioned, which would be awesome ...
  2. I loved it a year to half a year before the release or so, when Freetowns were havens for crafters and traders and the shops were filled. Sweet La Mona, bought and sold so much good stuff there ...
  3. That is the most cumbersome, unpractical solution you can present to someone who asks the Developers to stock up a place with low-grade throwaway cannons so people can sail off into the p-zone which is just there for some quick, non-complicated action.
  4. There are no 6pd and 9pd Medium guns in the shop at Shroud Cay on a Sunday afternoon. Honestly, that sucks at one of the best playtimes to do the patrol zone. Increase the drop rate or whatever (make a 6pd & 9pd Medium DLC) or have infinite stocks, but make sure there's plenty of low caliber guns for people to use with their DLCs. Please.

Sounds really nice: Instant Action, Raids during Port Timers No Port ownership for days, one time event, cooldown for a week Rewards are handed out in form of treasure chests that contain Doubloons, Reals, port special resources (rare woods, module ingredients) Bring your traders along to carry chests, chests will appear like wrecks in front of town, can be exploited until finished traders are a target for retaliate action after raid, you need to escort them home, planning a route (escort mission for all players of the nation to help, everyone will try to hunt the raiders) BR limit, no ships higher than 5th rates What about the raid battle, how is it going to be like? Like a patrol zone with a circle that is closing for faster action? Battle stays open so defenders can keep joining until BR limit is reached?

  7. Believe it or not but I am one of the few people who enjoyed the Basic Cutters battles in NA Legends. I just love the versatility and marksmanship of a 7th rate. Good fights galore in Basic Cutters.
  8. Le Requin is a great ship and I would love to spend my entire playtime on it on a given night. Go 🦈, make it craftable (for DLC owners), please.
  9. Sure, make it a "Requin Light" and make them capturable, permits limited. Being able to craft them adds value to the DLC. Because they are not easy to play. Well, since there so many people that hate them, there won't be a lot of people who are going to play them anyways, am I right? Therefore = make them craftable.
  10. Good idea. I mean the craftable Requin could even be a nerfed version (« Requin light ») It would be just great for those who want to make the Requin their permanent ship. Adding the blueprint / permit to the DLC gives extra worth. 🦈

  12. I absolutely agree on trading. Before the wipe DLC ships were inferior to ships crafted with port bonuses. They will be again once ports are improved. Farming is a problem and I think capital safe zones need to be expanded.
  13. It would be great, if DLC owners of Le Requin would also be able to craft it, please. It’s my favorite ship and I would like to use it more than just once every 24h. Adding the blueprint for DLC owners in the shipyard would be nice: - adds value to the DLC - could use ship more - port bonuses could be added Of course applicable to all DLCs.
  14. I was running into a minor bug a moment ago and was trying to use F11, but it didn't work. Is the bug report tool gone?
  15. That would be a very nice idea, I like Trader's Trim. Alternately you could have a Pirate Trim for turning trading ships into pirate ships by adding swivels, larger or more cannons to it. Which would also be a lot more historical.

Ok, now that we start whipping out the dictionary (of unknown source), how about we go the full distance and you start to quote those statements you consider to be a promise and we take them apart together? And let's stick to the false statements about DLCs for the sake of brevity please. Then why do you even play the game if you consider your time wasted, what's the logic here? Did anyone chain you to a chair and force you to play? That's actually funny. But seriously, why play a game you consider a waste of time? I enjoy sailing around the open world. Just for the sake of sanity here, they must have done something right, not? There must be a reason to keep you playing and engaged. I never denied that. But now that you brought it up: I think the game needs a lot of work in certain areas (PVE foremost) and would have profited from having the new frontline mechanics tested more thoroughly (by wiping ppls resources and ships first). Also there's a large list of little things to ameliorate and some things on this list would be really smart to implement. I think the core mechanics are pretty much in place (you can have great naval battles), the UI looks nice and RVR has become more meaningful with the port investments. Talking about RVR, I consider the superiority of certain nations to be annoying and would wish for game mechanics to counter it (although there are already some in place like maintenance for ports). I like that there are a lot of ships (almost too much) to choose from and I even like the new currencies (Reals, Dobloons). I didn't even buy the new DLCs because I see no use for them, I rather craft my own ships, a process I enjoy btw because I like to sail ships I crafted myself. So overall, I think it's a good game. Is it rushed to release? No, because there will never come a perfect time.
  19. Don't buy DLCs from a game developer that you don't consider to be reputable. A promise for me is when someone is telling me that "I promise to....", "I swear by god I won't..." or "You can have my word that I will ...". Game Labs certainly hasn't been the best at communicating. But they've solved every bug so far, have been quite innovative, moderated a forum of bickering customers and made a game in which you can have 25vs25 1st rate ships with thousands of cannon balls flying at the same time, tracking correctly, no lag. Quite an achievement I think. Many people spend 200-500+ hours on this game. Most time I spent on an AAA game title barely went beyond 100 hours. Quite some worth for the 40$ spend IMO. Yep, and I can only recommend to let the 'promises' bandwagon pass you by ... Me too, knew the full wipe was coming sooner or later, others might follow ...
  20. The entire issue of promises has been blown out far of proportion. Itβ€˜s a company, not our spouse. They wrote for people to prepare for the worst. Itβ€˜s a game in development. In development anything can happen. I for my part am happy that the Devs have been trying out so much.
