  1. Devs should make normal log console like in other mmo games.
  2. Hey , i have a question. I remember from realy test of game that i can turn on console and see, damage of guns after hit. Is there any possibilty now to do this?
  3. Hey Devs, good patch so far. I spend 2h yesterday sink some npc. At fights I notice that, armor, and structural are weaker before patch (or I shoot better doubt it). Its fine for me ,more i think fights will be shorter and more interesting. Secound thing is, why there is no grids cords on map? I understand this might me realistic game, but sailing without any guides is rather waste of players time. Even on realistic sailing simulators (like sailaway) u have navigation instruments ( I know its modern sail yacht simulator but this is just for example). NA is mmo for sake, and it more mmo stuff. Map cords was good, wasnt direct information, it require some skills and thinking. Please give them back. (or maybe this was patch flaw). Thrid question is how to turn on console and have information about damage done.
  4. I proposed some time ago ( i think this was early beta with open world) that we need somekind of system of sink letters. We can called " Report to Admirality". This letter would be generated automaticaliy after battle to winner in pvp battle only. In this letter would be short message (mail) information about engagement, loses done , place where battle was (no exactly - some approximation) and winner side. This might be important information about strategy on long terms on whole map. This idea is some kind of eve online killmail variation. It can have many interesting uses in game.
  5. Yep, this is good idea, but its need to be reworked for something more useful.
  6. Ships in ports should be visible to everyone in that port with proper flag. Captian could hoist false flag, but would be no honorable option. Maybe should be a options to see whats ships are in port from sea. Sailing at close distance.
  7. I think some mixed approach should be used. I don't think about harsh changes. Maybe some more officer/ crew skills (active skills ,not only buffs).
  8. I think main character (avatar) should have some RPG elements too, besides naval rank ( and exp points). Some skills or statistic would be nice to have.
  9. Small things.I would to have some damage numbers shows on log or even as UI element when i hit enemy. I know this is avaiable in "k" log but i dont know this would be inmplement to realase stage or is only alpha feature.
  10. For me is wierd idea. How you are suppose to know this. Maybe if we have some officers on board u can assigin some midshipman too mesure how offen enemy shoots. Its only way to implement this in my opinion. As observer is ok, But in observer mode u are not allowed to chat and inform team allies about real damage.
  11. Armor is common, word easily understable to every new player, i think "double planking" can be confiusing for start. "Hull" isnt armor its more like structure of ship. Really dont know which word is good here ;p
  12. Yes! Developers know that game should be fun for more player. Not every player is super realisitc fan. Damage on ship isnt easy to notice in early stages, of fight especialy from distant view. IMO for better encourage new players to game Health bars should be leave as it is. There was be an option to switch it off as, Admin posted. I agree.
  13. Nice, to consider that in Patrick O'Brian series in Book "The Fortune of War" ,Captain of HMS Shannon show Jack Aubrey some of guns on ship with new kind of gun-sight monted on guns. I am not naval historian, but i think in XIX this was common on battle ships. I support idea of elavation markers ,this be a nice feature to have.
  14. I hope this is only beginning, and this combat arena is start of great open world sailing game. Awesome job, and keep up good work.

  16. Yes high ping issues isnt problem in this game. High ping i mean(200-300ms) shouldnt be a problem. Higher arent playable in any mmo game, even on chess (blitz) u need fast respones under half a sec.
  17. Yes, this is still unclear, but i think there be some kind of global map...(guess)
  18. Pity, so piracy would be very limited? How u wanna merge piracy with open world if u dosent force player to go into pvp zones? I think there could be two options. One simple open world, where player join and sail (makeing quests, trade, fight npc and with pvp zones where u can earn more money then in no-pvp zones. Other u can have shard like server system where ppl join server on desired rules, but if u wanna quick earn money / ranks do more challagaing zones then u need to join server with pvp rules on. And please not single player in this game..., maybe as tutorial.
  19. First, skyboxes, lighting mood and waters looks very good. About ropes, maybe to preserve some preformance on lower spec computers, u can use alpha test ropes, (at least for main, thick ropes - yes i know this dosent looks good) , or add simple 3-side cilinders with normal map ,bake to make some curve shape. Without physic and animations, this dont take to much from preformance. Hard to estimate tri count on ropes for first rate ship but i think this cant be more like 2-3% of whole 3d model.

    POTBS

    I liked old potbs avcom system ,with stances and guard. It was less running and hitthing, more skill tatics useing. It was since half year game was live, after that someone not wise make wow - clone shit. Afterall i still consider Potbs as the best mmo which i played.

  23. MMO with reailstic sail ship battles doesnt collide with each other. Good merge this two options will benefit in number of players, IMO.
