The next revision should include:
- Add an explanation and screen shots about wind boosts (forgotten in guide up to now).
- Update DLC list, addition of Victory 1765
- Check ship characteristics (based on “Felix’s Map”), addition of Victory 1765
- Details on cheaper edition (if implemented)
- Add player protection (Home Defence Fleets and Light Fleets)
- Add new woods (those that can be planted, those that can be used for DLC ships and those that only drop in some ports [rule/conditions to be defined])
- New Player missions (To be checked by creating / reset an account)
- New RVR Rules / Flags
- Explanation about “Transport to Port Battle”
- Removal/change in doubloon use (if implemented)
- Port Investments (how to increase the number of port points?)
- Change in ROE, timers, exit rules.
- More details to be added in §9 about how to win battle (if possible, this is a long work that could be postponed to next revision)
This will be quite a big update, probably delayed with the implementation in game, and following necessary adjustments. In above list:
- In blue, what still needs to be written-up
- In black, what is ready for issuance

So, my last actions against a screening fleet was yesterday evening, when half a dozen of pirate and Spanish players tried to intercept my traders Lynx, which was re-supplied Mimbres in repairs for the future PB.
Four times tagged, 4 times running upwind in my fully loaded Traders Lynx, pirates and Spain never using the proper ship and being unable to make a proper tag, stuck they are in their holly Snow... I'll miss this time, for sure!
Single minded ship choice is freezing something, isn't it?
Don't tell to pirates and others, but in another life (or account), I recently got player kills on Hercules and Rattlesnake, while sailing a privateer... Shhhhhh

Is there any indication in-game, via UI for example, other than a potentially hard to identify change in opponent behaviour?
Thanks in advance.
You will find some indicators here.

RVR:
Buff the mortar brig (range, rate of fire), to make it useful again in RVR.

I think you prefer Trader Lynx for PvP
I do!
Since release, I have 10 PVP kills in this fantastic hunter!
Just some tips:
- Equip the ship with medium guns
- Nobody cares being approched by a Traders Lynx. Take your time and make a good tag.
- Start the fight with prepared and load chains.
- Start with wind at beam reach, the other player will try and run in the wind, you just go behind and rake chain...
- DO NOT forget to take repairs...
- Have fun.

This is all a bit irreverent because all those fights go away soon because screening isn’t content apparently.
Sadly, I agree.
With the disparition of screening, RVR could (would, should, might, this is the question) become a business for an handful of specialised players, always the same in a nation, who will do all the PB's, rejecting all other players out because, "we have no choice" or "this is something for very experienced players only" or "sorry but who are you?"...
Casual, new players, independent will be out of screening before the PB, out of the battle during the PB, and of no use after the PB. This is the new content?

i´m sorry, but the xebec "Le Requin" was definetely a french ship build in toulon
It is shown in Le Musée de la Marine, in Paris, France.
France did built a dozen of xebecs to fight Algiers pirates. Le Singe, a French xebec, was the first commanding assignment of Suffren at this period.
https://www.patrimoine-histoire.fr/MaqTxt/zzRequin.htm
Le singe was an interesting composite design, square and lateen sails.

Changing the number of nations would be a dramatic change anyway, this could result in no change...
- Corruption to give a negative impact to bigger economies is a way (see @rediii's proposal). This is historical. Corruption was the worsed in Spain for instance when gold rivers began to flow from West Indias.
- Impact on ship quality. This is historical, well described by Patrick O'Brian in Desloation Island (HMS Leopard builders, and woods). This would impact battle results for big factions, with auto balancing effect.
- Impact on RVR. Balance the 1000 point target. Small nations should win at 500, big nation needing 1500. Big means 50 ports or more.
The port bonus repartition can also be reworked.

Dhow
With:
- The speed of the Trader Lynx,
- The sailing profile of the cutter ( traditional lateen sails are not that good upwind, they are not flat enough. Now a days, some race dhows are adding a boom at the bottom of the sail to flatten it more, but this was not the case in XVIIIth century, and not in below video)
- Hold for 600 tons, with higher impact on the speed than the Tracers Lynx
- 40 crews
- 8 guns (4 pounds long/medium, 12 pounds carronades)

In France (and elsewhere in the world), people are organizing a self made penury of pasta, toilet paper, salad oïl, etc... May-be, @admin, we can help you boosting sales of DLC:
Due to Corona virus, there might be some shortage of several products, including but not limited to:
- Le Redoutable (made in France)
- Rättvisan (linked to some infested countries in Scandinavia, which have connections to Germany)
- L'Hermione (made in France)
- Flags (could be impacted by controls on frontiers)
- Admiralty Connection could be soon impacted if to many officers are obliged to work from home.
It is recommended to purchase these items immediatly to anticipate shortage of such DLC's.
This (fake) message can be modified later by Authorities. Please cascade to players who are confined at home and who stay far from this forum.

I bought some Corona beers in Belgium to get immunity. I am a fair user Abbaye de Leffe, they will pray for me to avoid buying Mort Subite.
In case of emergency, man can also use Pils, available without medical prescription.

You have to sail near the swords, then click on them and confirm ("join alone" or "join as a group") for launching the mission.
When mission is complete, you have to go to a friendly port, then click on your journal in your mission logs, select the completed mission and get your rewards (doubloons or chests).
If you got a chest, it is placed in the port warehouse. You open the warehouse, right-click on the chest and select "OPEN". The content of the chest is place in the warehouse.
Have a look in the Naval Action User Guide, plenty of tips there.
