  1. This effect actually goes both ways. Regarding morale, to finish off the AI use the Attack option to wipe out remaining morale. Other forms of attack will not drop it to 0.
  2. Base crew on a Heavy Rattlesnake = 130. Gold Hammocks add 10% = 13 Crew Space adds 5% = 6 So, with only Hammocks = 143 With only crew space = 136.5 With both = 149.5
  3. I think that if the durability is going to be reduced to 1 then the method of crafting modules should change as well. Currently it takes 120 Silver coins to craft a gold module. How about instead of just silver we introduce the use of the other precious metals. 240 copper coins or 60 gold coins to manufacture the same result. Introduce a Module Note that can be crafted using either 60 Copper, 30 Silver or 15 Gold coins. This will reduce the importance of Silver mines (8 currently in game) and make it where the other metals have an equal value towards crafting. With this then modules are easier to replace and therefor people may be willing to take more risks. It also removed Silver from being the "Dune Spice" of the game.
  4. But if we don't complain about people attacking ports at 4am in the morning what else will we do..play the game...you are a stinky butt pimple faced cootie infected wanker. (snicker)
  5. Regarding port battles starting right after maintenance, that you may know is from any hostility that near 100% before reset is reduced to 88% following the restart. If the remaining 12% is done within 2 hours of restart then the battle is set for just after maintenance due to when a port battle is triggered the time is set to 46 hours after triggering. The 30 min cant join is ONLY if someone logs off at sea. Entering a port will remove this penalty. So unless the port being attacked is very close to a freeport or friendly port than the assault group will be hard pressed to capture the port since the defenders (if on sight) will gain quite a few points while the assaulting force is travelling. If something is not done then assaulting remote locations like Kidds or Bermuda will never happen as it will give the defenders at least 30 min to gain points.
  6. I think the reason for some of the complaining is that the situation is not resolvable without some distress. The alleged alts are active while the "main" players are offline, thus locating and documenting the activities of these underhanded slime dwelling bottom feeders is nearly impossible. So, it appears that the one thing that would help a North America based server is to have the cut off time for port battles for said server be closer to the normal operating time. Assign the cuttoff time to +1 or 2 hours from what it is currently (06:00 GMT is what i think it is currently, adjust it to 08:00 GMT)
  7. Regarding the 4am port battles. Yes it was commented by the clan leader that they missed the cut off time by about 3 min. So the hostility stayed at 100% with no port battle triggered. The next morning there is a port battle scheduled for 4am and no one could determine who went ahead and grinded out the remaining after reset hostility. No one on nation chat would own up to doing it from what I heard. The problem is, there is no real "solution" for this other then tagging players by IP address and logging any that are from the same IP address but are from hostile nations. Something that I really doubt that the devs are really going to do as there is no reason to place this kind of restriction. As much as a pain the alleged Hostile-Alt issue may be it is one that has no clear solution without also introducing a potential issue for legitimate multi user households. Both my wife and I play but we are part of the same nation. I can equally see people within one house being part of different nations who may wind up hostile with each other. So therefor, the only way to "deal' with the situation is to search and report suspected culprits and stop with the complaining. Anyone can complain about things, but if you want it fixed, try at the very least providing an idea of how to fix it.
  8. I think one thing that may help these discussions is clarifying WHICH server the discussion is regarding. I am on PVP2 and saw the one post where it stated that the pirates and British were working together and wanted to instantly flame the poster until he resembled the contents of an ashtray.
  9. And the one thing that will nerf this approach is Pirate Alts purchasing or crafting 1st rates and selling them to Pirates at a Freeport or flat out trading them from one character to another. This is why attempting to restrict a certain group from having equal access to something will not work, there is always a way around it. As it sits currently the only thing the pirates do not have is the ability to enter port battles along side another group.
  10. And now we have the US handing ports over to the Spanish, Considering that there are very few players actually in that nation I really do not see the point of this venture. Is the US going to hand the Texas area back to the French because they have only 1 or 2 areas currently as well? Did the DD clan ever consider notifying the British and Dutch of their decision to hand resources over to near empty HOSTILE nations? Since MARS operates mainly in the Gulf, I wonder if this will cause even more strife among the US clans due to a lack of communications. Since DD operate in the northern parts of the US territories I can see why they would put up very little resistance to the idea of surrendering the Gulf region. I am really curious now how many players there are in each of the nations...
