  1. He obviously damaged you regarding sails and hull (only 8 guns on larboard side). Mechs allow disengaging so I don't see the griefing. Perhaps tag an NPC on your own and hope for enemies to join?
  2. The question is: is it valid tactics in RvR or is it simply what we swedes here claim it is. @Wolf74 as you could also clearly see/hear, one tower was shooting, so even if you could leave for a moment, you knew that not all of the opponents fleet could leave. How can you claim to have an intention to fight? Any solo prince wouldn't stand a chance against a 1st rate. And here you against a whole fleet? Anyways, it's not really about punishment but a request to clarify rules.
  3. @Pit Pinsel sad that you don't have time to show this former clan leader of yours who rules the open sea. Last time we met, three PGP guys in Hercs did not dare fighting an Essex and a Herc and kept hiding in Salinas Point. That was pre Herc nerf. But keep killing the clueless. Like a true frenchman you will run from any enemy who could only be close to your skill level. I'm glad you found ships that suit your playstyle. I'm also happy to differ from you in this regard. Diversity is always something worth supporting. Happy clubbing o7
  4. Aves is a must have oupost. The happy Antilles family is waiting for you
  5. Ram is just a monster. Rest is seal clubbing ofc
  6. Ist doch auch "green on green" oder? Bin da bei troody, einfach mit den Leuten sprechen, das hilft eigentlich immer.
  7. Prince or Privateer or Snow... it's all the same in this case. The F11 coods are the actual problem methinks. In RvR isn't this common tactics to split the enemies' forces? And where does it start? You could tag, directly disengage, leave, retag. Think some details should be clarified. Btw. @Havelock didn't you want to report this frenchy? Don't see a tribunal yet.
  8. You describe the same position with different terms. Well ofc from russian pov it's offered help while swedes forcefully suppress. @Lars Kjaer how much is the weekly payrate at the moment? Sry I forgot as we have bullied too many close to extinction and therefore extort them nowadays.
  9. Best thread in a while I have to say No probs with merged servers, no issues with US (or non-euro) timezone players. If Euro players drop timers on important ports by mistake, well a flip is what they get. US faced the same issues if they dropped timers. They just don't. Perhaps they are smarter?
  10. Why do you think we dragged the fight to the OW? Donner, Skmarsh, me and another flipped LH, the PB was lead by El Have Loco and asking him he just said, let's better not talk about it, the sailing was just horrible aka B minus team at max. Only Marsh was in of those who flipped btw. The Wind guys are not the prime team of Russia. Fight HAVOC now, as they have settled in the british nation. Please provide me with a screenshot of Cap-Francais, I don't remember that, perhaps @rediii recalls? I'm sure Ill find an excuse for that aswell Don't get me wrong Banished, you guys are good players. But seriously, the pirates only show halfways proper organizational levels when VCO and NSANE are around. But as you said, nothing serious so far. British-Spanish war, Franco-Swedish war or Russia vs Sweden: these are/were salty. For a reason. Long period of time with high casualties on both sides and tactics chosen to annoy the enemy. The indispensible salt is what keeps us going You don't need to like me, but please understand that this is about RvR and not OW pew pew. Agreed that everybody clubs on OW - I mean it's a sandbox?
  11. Damn you're getting soft. *S P A N T A R D* is your formerly used expression. @Banished Privateer you took swedish ports which were rarely contested, a B-Team attacked LH vs a PvP player fleet in Requins and you talk of war? There wasn't even much salt. As long as I don't see screenies of pbs against russian, british, french or swedish prime teams I'll take the liberty of calling you guys a bunch of seal clubbers. Taking ports from pirates is like taking ports from the US: farming pvp marks and nothing more. We'll meet someday and I hope neither you or us will have excuses. Carry on.
  12. The problem I have with regional trims is, as @jodgi said, RvR elitism. Small nations won't stand a chance, and after a short period of nice RvR we will have a couple of nations to be winners and some to be unable for a long time to get competitive again or their players will switch nation or leave entirely. Yes there is alts and who suffers from the situation the most? Casuals. If we had more customization by adding special ingredients, which would be distributed over the map, what do we get? RvR elitism or tremendously time consuming trade runs = total superiority of alts. We have customization by choosing woods already, imo that's enough. I could live with @Liq's proposal of getting buffs on one parameter, while being nerfed on another one. Though only if no regional or ingredential requirements are necessary. And propper balancing is needed aswell ofc. I like RNG in combination with the customization of woods for the reason of loads of good ships - e.g. teak white oak frigates 3/5 plain or minor trim - are available for nearly no money (they get sold in sweden for ~400k, swedish crafters don't even find customers - therefore spread the ships over the caribbean) which also enables casuals to participate in daily action.
  13. 25 fir fir t-lynx to make a golden ocean? no way this is what people will do...
  14. Crafted 50 ships in the last week. Two golden, 7 purple, 26 with trim, rest plain 3/5. Two different ports, none of them in RIZ. That's ~20% purple or better, sounds fine to me, perhaps even too much. Just don't make the mistake to not use them because they are rare. They sink like every other of our beloved pixels.
  15. BS!!! GB is stronkest. Not because of HAVOC - they're trash! #itisknown Simply because you have Raxius and Hartzy. Everything they start becomes a story of success. But don't worry. Capt Hardy will return to restore balance to the british nation, which has recently shifted towards a (I nearly don't dare saying it) player vs player focused content. Regards from the calm and cosy eastern side of the carebearian sea o/
  16. @admin What's the price for the insurance? As I understand you now, every crafted vessel is automatically covered = no costs. Principally I like the idea a lot - newbies, regrind, you explained it.. I would suggest to repay the special woody at the lowest market price. The more is paid back the more abusive behaviour gets. If I learned one thing in this game it's that ppl will find a way to abuse it. Via alt pvp marks farming + extra gold now e.g. Via full fireship 1st rate fleets for screening. I suggest a rate (or BR even)-coupled insurance. The higher the BR, the smaller the insurance premium. Make it a feature for new players mainly, as most of the features being invented to help newish players get abused by ppl who actually fully understand the game.
  17. I vote NO. One day I'll beat him in a duel and proudly present it on the forums. He would just mod it away. I know it. Until this day, I have to remain your bitch though.
  18. Thought this had been fixed? @admin you got a quick comment on this one please?
  19. Were these guys all inside the tag circle? Must be as they shouldnt be able to join, right? Aside it's kinda funny, it's much more annoying. No help for BC trolls though I think the US is the most astonishing nation. Probably the most unexperienced players in the game.
  20. I disagree. Depending on the enemys' vessel I'd say killing (safely - without losses) is better as driving them out. Inside the safezone noone will attack you with something bigger than a 5th rate (even that is pretty hard).
  21. Oh I love the Essex. She turns beautifully, she is quite short and low in the water, her armament is mediocre, her crew distribution very good and her sailing profile makes her a great brawler. Her weaknesses are the masts, mediocre speed and ofc the missing chasers. As I usually not necessarily hunt very fast but stronger ships thats okayish for me. The masts have to be covered though. Either elite french or french and winged out ballast. I like her with medium guns and a rattlesnake. She is also cheap to craft. Imo the Herc is not really special anymore. When enemies try to rake you just perform the usual way: sail close-hauled and hit the full break. Usually after some attempts you will hit the bowsprit. Find a good balance between hull and mast damage. Force to repair hull first, go for masts then, they are really weak. But sure, those three brits were not the most experienced players. Patience for a good broadside is the more important, the better the ship turns imo. Frenchies - we have a understanding of mutual dislike The waters of the Windward Islands are usually rich fishing grounds. Once triggered, the slaughter usually ends with me dead, but it's always fun. Brits at KPR are the usual place to be when online numbers are low. Navasse/Tortue area is snacky. Dutch waters are fun in the evenings (17+ srv time), though this crowd is really not very pvp experienced. No offense.
  22. A small collection of last two weeks skirmishes. I will try to remember things worth mentioning. One of the first engagements on Essex. It tacks through the wind like no other frigate imo. Medium guns + pen mod + Elite French. Very tough one against two Prussians. o7 Demasted the Bellona and killed it, rest of the fight we tried to kill each other, multirep system denied it though. Had a very good Bellona here I have to admit. Watching the amount destroyed cannons, the victory obviously got decannonized once completely. Noone got killed in here. Only worth mentioning as it was at Port Morant and the brits pbviously jumped out of a bttle and saw me. Was pretty much surrounded thanks to reinforcement zone RoE and managed to squirm free with mostly not more than 60% sails. Honestly I was a bit proud of that Again in british RZ. Luckily for me not more joined. The first Diana was desmasted and down, but could escape because of me not tagging her (she was right next to me) in the brawl. The rest of them really gave me hell, the Conny did really good. o7 Teak/Wo Very Cramped Conny, meds and carros. The first one is actually the second battle of three I had this day at the Dutch. First I killed Conny and Endy, then Inger and P-Frig. In the second battle jumped after it was over the guys to be seen in the second screenshot. Sidefact, was talking to Gooser on dutch TS while the battle. Best regards! The surp only died because of the flipping bug. #dontsailafktoenemiescapitals This is how coastguard work should look like. In german there is a saying: "Das Glück ist mit den Tüchtigen" meaning "luck is with the diligent". Endy and Herc played smart and tried to stay with the Bellona. I got saved by maintenance, with a 30/70 chance of survival perhaps. Classical "How not to coastguard". The player on Essex was actually Bellona but could switch ship before he sank, though he forgot to transfer crew and was boarded rightaway. Inger was first to die, they basically stayed together, aiming was "improvable" though. When Inger Bellona and Essex were down, the Buc left the Agi behind to die. i got killed because of greed returning to safezone and getting killed by the vets afterwards. 4/5 teak/wo Conny. two speedmods, pen mod, northern carp. meds and nadies. The downfall of the Very Cramped one. Gotta say I like the Hercs BR pvp mark wise A tip to players that heavily outnumber a bigger enemy. Try to decrew more. Grape is your friend. Enemy gets much less dangerous if he/she can't reload. I was VERY salty about this one. My apologies. But that's basically happens when you're not on fast ships. Got ganked afterwards by two veteran Bellos, 5th rate and Herc. Rage surrender.
