  2. Sorry CaptainSparckles - your "thinking" doesn't fit to the messages. All browser settings of different users have a problem? It seems that there are problems in the profile settings and not all settings can be customized by the user. The video shows clearly that this can't be a browser problem.

  5. What a joke! French Council announces an alliance with the russians and Russia declares the alliance as worthless Maybe next time french kiss russian shoes, before being humilated in this way.
  6. A lot of not craftable ressources for upgrades are only (regular) available in one or two port(s). This is like a basic setting of the game. There is no reason to change the rule for coper ingots or longleaf pine. This discussion is useless!
  7. Did the ocean attack you directly or did it attack an AI and you were in the battle circle? If you are in a battle circle of another attac, you get no reinforcement
  8. The real winner is the respect. Two fleets that fight each other with guns and ships. No trolling, no bad words - thanks to all.
  9. The suggestions for a new gunnery mechanics are brillant. These ideas would solve a lot of inconsistency regarding the use of gunnery and brings a more realistic mechanic in ships arming. I hope that a lot of these ideas will realized in game. I have one additional wish - please devs thought out again the policy of armor and hull thickness and make a well reasoned concept (like this of Cecil Selous) for armor, gunnery, rudder, masts and crew damage . Untill now there is a new armor modell, a little bit later it's corrected by a new gunnery concept, afterwards mast snaps like a match (and so on).

  12. If you have 60-70 people for a defense portbattle, you obviously fear, that you can't win the battle (in max there can be 25 players in a battle). Obviously you need to outnumber the attacers. So you should be lucky that noone joins the show.
  13. Did you ever here Moscalb whine about this or that mechanic? He does his thing - he fights, he wins, sometimes he looses than he stands up and fight again. And he uses different ships against farious targets. He doesn't count the BR before he engages. The secret of the real good players, like Moscalb, is: They simply do what they want to do, with the material they get
  14. I imagine the crying in forums when the first full loaded galleon is caputered... Please, god of naval action and common sense, spare us with ships that don't fit to 18th century!
  15. First of all - the strength of the swedish nation is mainly the open minded partnership of the swedish players and the clans. We win together and we loose together. This is the secret of the swedish success. It's not a question of individual strength otherwise the PVP Leaderboards and the Combat Information would contain much more swedish names. When I and about ten other players left the british nation in May 2017 after the big wipe, we decided to get swedes, because we heard, that in swedish nation you can do as small clan your own staff, will be helped if you ask and will be invited in shared activites. The British nation was full of egoistic players and clan chiefs - remember why the german speaking clans left the council before the wipe and founded the house of commons. This situation changed from bad to worse after the wipe! Even though Sweden had only ports from Island Harbour to Basse-Terre we decided to change. We came in the night, and didn't introduce us and our clan. After one week we get the invite to the council and the ts-Server. We were helped with materials... I reprise myself. Remember the night's when we defended our waters against 4 attacing nations. Nearly every Swedish player interrupts his own stuff and helped near Sant Iago, Oranje, Basse Terre against Danes, British, Pirates and French. This were good fights, we lost lot of ships and worked together to restore the losses. When the 3 new Nations were announcend we in our clan discused to get Prussian and decided to stay Swedes - the reason to stay was the open minded partnership of the swedish players. It's not necessary to destroy Swedish Nation - it's necessary for other nations to work together and to stop the petty jealousy.
  16. Sometimes when I read the forums I think most of us are kids. Nearly every change that was made in the last 18 months is mainly commented in a destructive and often aggressive way. It is a shame for all users and players what happens in this forum. Naval Action is an "early access game". The devs are open minded and gives us the possibility to comment changes. Guys tell me, and be honest, are there many other comapanies were they player community has such a large forum and such a dialog. "...stick your game where it will bleed" and other insults are not tolerable! Nor between players neither to devs. Calm down and only write what you allow others to write on you. Live changes and also Naval Action. Test and reply afterwards in a fair comment.
  17. It's a little bit like a dog that tries to catch his tail... PVP is nearly only possible by sailing hours ands hours to find an equal enemy or by sitting in safe zones waiting for a (unskilled) player who fights against AI... RVR is mostly boaring, because of missing enemies or if there's an attacking enemy fleet, they mostly abuse game mechanics and avoid PVP in fake-battles like they did it at Barahona, La Navasse, ... (and Devs support this behavior). We will see what happens tonight. This all has nothing to do with the clan system. For the swedish nation clans are important, but clans work together united to protect and to attack. There is no jealous looking who has the "better" port. Together we loose (maybe) but united we win. I think, abusing game mechanics has to be punished by devs. A Portbattle without defenders or attackers has to be closed after 15 min and the fighting part will win the port.
  18. Rember the situation after the last wipe. Lots of Portbattle couldn't be enternd because there were system problems. The ony answer of the devs: "sorry, but this happens in early access" They have to fix the problem, yes! But we all play early access, bugs are included.
  19. Dear Devs, dear swedish fellows and beloved enemies Christmas is coming and I will post my wishlist. Maybe some of them come true. Ammounition: I think it would be a nice feature to load the cannon decks with different ammunition. It could be realized by locking decks with F1-F4. If all decks are unlocked, the ammunition that will be loaded is the same on all decks. If the player locks a deck, it will not be reloaded. This allows the player to (re-)load deckwise and to use the canons with different ammunition. For example: You can use in the low caliber canons on the wheater deck "grape" and penetrate with balls in the heavier sized cannons of the middle or bottom decks. Fire: Fire on a sailship was in history fatal. In Naval Action fire has a very weak impact, except of using a fireship as bomb. Fire should have more effects on sails, hull and structrue of the burning ship. Firefighters could be increased by crew transfers from cannons or sailing. Shallows and reefs damage: If a ship runs aground there is (nearly) no hull damage. I think the damage level should depend by the speed of the ship and by the hump. A reef should cause leaks, shallows should damage the structur Escape by destroying load: It's possible to destroy load in open world, it should also be possible to do this in battle. Sometimes the only chance for traders is to escape the attacker(s). Fighting is no option in some cases, so you can only stay alive by escaping. It should be possible to destroy also in battle the load and the cannons of a ship to get quicker. This can balance the saildamage of the follower. Everyone can decide by his own, risk the whole ship or destroy your load and loose money. Fleet ships: Allow a player to chose the ammunition of a fleet ship and let us order the escapecourse and the attackcourse of a fleet ship. Therefore players can use the battlemap, if they don't want to do this by there own, the AI can work like it's current. Finaly - I think the devs do a great job with this game. Not every patch fits for each player, but after more than a thousand hours playing this game, it's a pleasure for me. It's like a virtual pub, talking on TS with my mates and fellows and having fun in playing. There's one poor work: I have to draw my beer by myself ;-) Sincerely yours HamBlower
  20. I understand your explanation what happend - but, sorry guys, I watched the video, the damage of the topsails is maybe in your logfiles, but in the video the sails look proper. It seems there's a bug in displaying the damage of the hunted ship, the damage is invisible! The damage of Anolytic's sails are visible. How should someone aim the right target in this case?
  21. The case isn't wether a firstrate is allowed to be fleetship or not. But if firstrates are not allowed as fleetship, then it should not be possible to take it with you, neither when you leave port, nor as caputered battle loot. The problem exists for lower ranks as well. The crew limit of the ranks doesn't fit to the min. crew of the ship classes. This has to be rebalanced.
  22. All these proposals can only be emergency solutions. The main problem is that the game mechanic isn't clear in this case. If you capture a ship the min. crew isn't the same than if you send it to fleet an leave the port. The solution can only be, that these two cases will be handled equal in future. To solve the problem the min. crew of a ship should be half the max. crew of the players rank. For example: min crew of a first rate is 550 - highest rank can have 1100 crew min crew of a sec. rate is 400 - second level officer has 800 crew min crew of a third rate is 325 - ... If you are not able to put enough crew after boarding (with rum rations) on both ships, you can't take the ship and have to sink one in battle (your old ship or the captured). The actual mechnics allows you to capture a first rate, send a few crew members on the caputred ship and fight again with your nearly full crewed first ship. This has nothing to do with reality
  23. The pirates are already destroyed by the danes. Put down the gloriole that dazzles you and look at the map. French were crying all times about their bad bad neighbours. Before the big whipe the brits were the bad enemies that want to destroy them, now the new ugly guys are the swedes. Come on we don't play a little girls pony farm game (but even there you have to muck out the stable).
