  1. +1. And I would still ask for a revisit of First Bull Run/Manassas, and so fix the HUD, that the Confederate side can select forces by unit as opposed to mostly unorganized individual units.
  2. Not so much the "modern" machining techniques to me. Even in 1861 Whitworth seemed to get the machining part down. What will be totally astonishing to me, would be to see what "modern" smokeless powder would do for the range and accuracy.
  3. Glad to see you stepped back and took another look. Congrats on getting to day two.
  4. It would also offer one more additional thing to the above list. The inclusion of different uniforms.
  5. Rather than blame what appears to be a programming error in your mind possibly, consider the opening rules of the battle if conditions warrant that you hold victory points for a period of time to win, then those are the conditions you have to meet. Be aware, you also may be required to not lose a particular portion of your forces, as well. And as was mentioned you as a player need also to be aware of your total accumulated reputation. You are not playing this for yourself, there is a programed government on each side that you need to appease as well. Your possible failure to meet requirements to win battles it's not the game nor the developer's fault.
  6. Nah, there are way too many of these types of games already. Spread the love around to some other era.
  7. Well there you go. I stand corrected.
  8. Actually, from what I can see, South Mountain isn't in game. At least from the CSA aspect of the game. I personally have never played the Yankee side to Antietam yet. The battle between 2nd Manassas and Antietam is Jackson's possession of Harpers Ferry. But you are correct historically. The battle of South Mountain was in 1862 and not 1863. That said however, South Mountain played a very minor role in 1863 since the Southern forces used it to screen their March into Pennsylvania.
  9. BUT .... It does do something. It clicks when you select it. That's something. It's not the right something, but its still something.
  10. Ask Thomas Jonathan Jackson at Chancellorsville, or, *gulp, sniff,* Ambrose Powell Hill at Five Forks. Or John Fulton Reynolds at Gettysburg.

  12. Again, I think that's getting too personal with the people I send to a meat grinder ....
  13. Love that Archive link, lots of good stuff I have comes from there. However this is a condensed version. Hardee's full manual spanned 2 volumes.
