  1. Guys, there is a BIG difference between the complete wipe at release and now a PARTIAL wipe to test the economy !!! Tomorrow or at Friday, our REALS and ASSETS gets wiped, so we can test the complete new economy...therefore we keep our ships So when we should keep our ships by purpose to test the changes, why isnt that true for ships being in store ??? Sorry, i dont see the logic here... Ofc, CONTRACTS has to get wiped because you could otherwise just put SELL - Orders with insanely high prices only to delete them after wipe to get millions back ! Thats a backdoor which had to get closed for reasonable testing But ships in store are a complete different mechanic because you dont get money back when you delete those
  2. Thats not technically true: You dont "sell" it to store, you "place" it into store "showroom" and pay a tax for it !! ...or how would you explain that you get your not-sold ships back after they are expired without having to buy them back...
  3. You know most people spent their excess crafting goods and victory marks to build ships...so most people cant cancel the contracts because there docks are full !! They stored the ships in store...its a complete perfect behavior inside the rules of NA and espeically with how this wipe was announced... I dont see any reasons if @admin wants us to keep our ships why he NOW decides to DESTROY deliberatly the ones in store ??? I mean, the taxes are already paid and we just increase the capacity of our docks !!! We do this since NA started...
  4. ...just a moment: You wanna tell us that ALL of our ships in store will vanish ???? You stated initially that Ships are safe...so whats the reason therefore ??
  5. Cant agree more +1 Dont listen to the selfish whiners anymore, they are the minority !!! Honestly, some of those most vocal complainers, i know ingame and thought they were reasonable gentlemen...may have to change my thoughts about them... Seriously, i cant hear this "broken promise blablabla" thing anymore !!! ...and most weird thing is that now so many players who were always referring to "dont care, its only pixels", "theres no geargap, only skillgap" and similar statements,, are now the most vocal ones when Devs decided for VERY good reasons to take away "their" stuff...
  6. With unopened chests mentionend, are those the silver and gold chests ?! And what about unopened Sealed Bottles ??? Will all of those 3 things stay ??? Thx for the clarification

Finally someone of our Uber-Pros connection makes a statement, which sounds reasonable...and not selfish about losing stuff +1 @rediii you have my outmost respect !!! 👍👍 ...all the other Pros should think and act alike !!! Its a shame what some other Pros are doing right now (here in forums and on discord)

Mate, i know you for some time ingame and i feel you are quite a honorable man...you cant be serious about this ??? ...and all the others discussing this things on TS and discord should be ashamed by themselfs !!! Even i for myself feels ashamed for you Guys... !!! ...only because someone took away you some shiny gimmicks?? Dont be so selfish...and think about what you said again If its not you, argue against the idiots...

Best decision ever made by you Devs !!! +1.000 Everyone who loves the game, and those are we vets otherwise we wouldnt play it thousands of hours , have to understand whats best for the game...period !!! I will gladly give all of my stuff, experience, knowledge slots, hence i would even give all of my books for the chance of much more people playing NA after release... Much more populated world will benefit all of us... And lets be honest, our immense experience we accumulated in years of Early Access is much more valuable as all collectable things !!! Especially when our Pros always argued in many threads that geargap doesnt exist, skillgap would be the real I-Win Button and decides all the battles (...and i am on the same track) So honestly, we all dont need those gimmicks...we will rule the waves only with our skill after release...lets prove it So pls no selfish whining anymore...thanks

I was years ago in closed beta of WoT from Day 1...and wow, what we had accumulated in those years...you cant imagine the steam which went through forums, all the raging, when devs announced that on release there will be a FULL wipe and nothing else... And ??? Had WoT died because all the closed beta vets stopped playing ?? NO !!! On day 1, despite the raging in forums, nearly all the known faces were seen again like the newbies in starter tanks, making low level games really interesting for the first time because seasoned vets were fighting each other... and after a few days, all slowly got bored vets who had everything in Closed beta, got hooked again by the game because they had a fresh start... And even further, there was no shitstorm raging through social media by new players feeling at a massive disadvantage Same would happen here
  11. If we dont get new Players into the game, BUYING the game, i can predict that the servers will get shut down in a year at the latest !!! What do you all think is gamelabs in the first place ? Right, a company which want to make money and HAS to make money atleast for keeping the servers running... From the old Players, they got their money already and most of it had been invested in the game development, hence the early access to create money for the development Without new Players buying the game, there is only one chance for the devs to keep NA alive: creating much more DLC ships !!! And even those 2 we have now enrages many people already that much... I say, its in our all interests that we get as many new players into the game as possible...if we want to play NA for much longer !!! Exactly this !!! Even now the negative reviews scares many possible players away...you often hear this when you speak with newcomers that they were very indifferent because of them... Now imagine, when on Steam, in reddit, in youtube channels, in gaming magazines, people would get warned that the release and the wipe wouldnt be a wipe at all...that all the old players who had already accumulated 4 years of experience, can keep all the real important stuff...what will make this to new players ??? Saying "no" to a levelled playing field for EVERYONE sounds just selfish to me, sorry to say this

This looks to me a good compromise for most parts: - Quality of life feature (having the option to leave the game safely for RL reasons) - preventing unlimited ganking until you lost whole fleet - prevent magical teleporting around the globe pls @admin Now imagine here a picture of Jean Luc Picard (too lazy to search for )

Hmmm...sounds reasonable mate...on the other hand, i am not quite sure whether your own FLEET AI gets the same bonusses ENEMY BOT AI gets usually, namely your mentionend laser accuracy, sometimes weird shooting angles and penetrating at crazy angles... You should know this better than me, because i guess, you often fight enemy FLEET AI, when attacking Players (like you had to do when attacking my Fleet f.e.) and may have comparisons against the usual BOT AI to find in OW ??! Furthermore, i doubt that your own FLEET AI gets all the modules, the BOT AI gets !!! Atleast when watching my own FLEET AI in action, they seem to me far less capable than the ENEMY BOT AI... So keeping this in mind, the question remains the same (even when you came closest to an answer at this point xD): - is the FLEET AI as effective with Longs and Carros as with Mediums - do they need the better accuracy with Longs at all - do they know about the limited range of Carros if fitted with --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Legend to avoid misunderstanding: (for Dummies, just to get sure everyone understands ) FLEET AI = the Ships one can place onto your Fleet escorting you ENEMY BOT AI = The AI you can find in Open World or in Missions
  14. Okay, they are not so expensive...but do AI Fleets use longs or carros to their full effect? Or would they aim with them as if they had mediums like the former default one ?? just a thought...

I agree with all you said so much +1 Sadly many Vets are no more/not willing to imagine the game out of the perspective of a new player because they have mastered everything and all looks so easy to them...following their point of view many downrate every good solution/suggestion to make life easier for new/fresh/casuals because they want to fit the game their needs/wishes only !!! Thats very selfish thinking and hurts the game so much, IF the Devs listen to the most vocal ones her on forums When speaking this, me with roughly 1.300 hours and Birthday in 2016 under my belt, cant barely be called a "new/fresh/casual" anymore, so i do NOT advocating my own interests here in forum ! Just to mention it
  17. Hi fellow captains, I would like to ask, which are the best Guns for AI Fleet Ships ? Longs, Mediums or Carros ?? 1. with which Guns they perform and hit the best ? 2. and for "demasting" command: with which Guns they inflict the most sail damage? 3. would you say, it makes any difference which to choose, whether you fit a Fleet Warship or a Trader with Guns? Was there at anytime any official information of it? I hear alot about mediums being best...but could this just be a rumor because AI Ships are always fitted with them, so people just GUESS they would be best also for your Fleet captains to hit anything... Thx for your answers in advance

  19. I am always speechless when Vets like you, maybe we all, transfer their own standards to new players... How do you think, new players should know all this, not to speak about having the needed skills in combat to "cap an AI Frigate with a Basic Cutter" ??? Thats some serious elitist approach by you and many others, who laugh sometimes about the inability of new players, forgetting their own starting into the game... ...no wonder many new players leave the game after 2 or 3 weeks
  20. Easy solution: Remove those silly unhistorical huge fleets altogether !! Because i dont remember anyone or any clan ever attacked one of those fleets...(for such purposes we have Epic Events)

Great news overall but so much the highlighted ones !!! +1.000 If AI dont attack Players on their own, new players coming to the game, will ask them why so many NPC fleets are around in the first place ? Only as moving targets ?? And honestly, me already asking this myself... As @rediii stated already, agressive AI will not only hunt you, but also protect you ...when the Devs try to close all loopholes in the game like the by myself strong critiziced unability to log out from inside battle instance f.e., NPCs doing their job is another highly welcomed step towards more realism !!! It might be annoying at some time, but i am sure people will adept very quick and when the Devs also tweak KI of NPCs, f.e. making some stronger ("Elite NPC"), other weaker and also tweak your own Fleet NPCs, making them more valuable (Expeience for Fleet Captains ???), this will make the world feel more alive, which is a good one
  22. I am pretty sure when agressive AI will make a comeback soon, your mentionend "AFK sailing" will be a thing of the past ! You always have to look in grand schemes because different patches will affect each other...
  23. ...As good as exploration sounds in theory, EVERY possible finite fictional map would have been fully discovered since MONTHS !!! Should the devs introduce every 3 weeks a new map, so we have something to explore ??
  24. Cant disagree more: 1. We dont need an EVE online with sailing ships !! 2. We dont have to drop historical nations because we had some in reality !! 3. EVE Online plays in a FICTIONAL future, THATS the reason why there can NOT be "historical" nations, instead of all this FICTIONAL ones 4. Given the fact, that even EVE Online have nations, you can take them also as "historical" out of the lore...so your point isnt valid from both points of view What we NEED instead is: 1. A VISION from the Devs what the Open World should be in the end (and stick with it like a PvP promoting Hostility system) 2. a working RoE which promotes PvP without advertising GANKING too much !! Like an infinite open entry to a battle for the inferior side until they get superior to some degree and than the now inferior side can call in reinforcements for their own...and so on and on ! The spawning could be always at the edge of the battle zone so the reinforcements cant spawn on top of the existing ones 3. maybe a mostly player driven economy if we get the player numbers 4. Thats it
