  1. Absolutely agree !! I also do NOT see the needs to balance EVERY regional bonus against all others...some should be by design just MUCH stronger than others, creating hotspots on the map where the nations clash to get their hands on ...not everything has to be the same in the end !!
  2. <--- cant believe that Hostility system looked very promising because its an OPEN WORLD feature in a SANDBOX Game to arrange or prevent the most important RvR mechanics: Port Battles !! Does it has its flaws: oh yes !!! But instead going again from 0 to 100 and then revert it back to 0 (anyone remembers "fine woods" ???), what about TWEAKING the system ??? Why always those revolutions instead of smooth evolutions ??? The only issue with Hostility was (...once War Supply Bombs were fixed) the near instant closure of the battles !! When the intention with Hostility system was to create Open World PvP, YOUR system dear Devs PREVENTED them by design !! ...so just increase the joining timer for Hostility creating PvE missions (why not creating SEPERATE missions for Hostility generation) or let them even be open until the battle ends, so defenders AND attackers could join, giving us all a huge PVP battle (...instead of all those PvE) Everything else looks fine to me at first glimpse
  3. Thats right mate...but does noone knows exactly whether Stiffness and Opt. Ballast works currently the way it should by the books ??? Any Dev maybe ??? Because i didnt experienced any reducing in heeling when using stiffness fitted ships instead of Build Strength fitted ones...even Gold Opt. Ballast didnt reduced the heel in my tests...
  4. Thanks mate !! Just wanted to answer on the other posts when i saw yours Yeah, exactly that is the point: NOT that the heel feels to be excessive for a LO 1st Rate, it is that building the same ship with STIFFNESS and equipping it even further with Gold Opt. Ballast seems to have NO effect at all Stiffness should reduce by the books the heel for 5 and Gold Opt. Ballast for 10...but of what ??? Degree or percent ?? Okay, for Gold Opt. Ballast it says 10 PERCENT in the tooltip...but does this really mean 10 PERCENT ??? Because 10% of a maximum heel of 6 is 0,6... which is barely noticeable...dont know whether Stiffness is absolute or also percentage ?? ...but IF both were really meant to be percentage, then the perk Trimming Expert reducing Heel by an amount of 3 degrees ABSOLUT seems a bit off... That would mean that a SINGLE perk of 1 point would be much more effective than the combination of a maximum optimized build with choosing the right Wood Type, best Hull Trim AND an Gold Upgrade !! ...i am confused Following this logic, a Fir build Victory should capsize
  5. Hi Guys, as title says: is there something wrong with heeling ?? Since a few weeks, i can build and sail 1st and 2nd rate Ships, as the Buccanteure and the Victory, and i was shocked how much they heel...even with Live Oak which should reduce the heeling to a certain degree !! As i having not so much experiences on the Victory or Buccanteure, i cant compare whether one of the last patches introduced more heeling ??? ...but for my taste, the heeling feeled a bit off, both are very heavy stable gun platforms and the heeling reminded me nevertheless on a Trincomalee So i decided to build 2 nearly identical Victorys: - one with Live Oak BUILD STRENGTH and Strong Hull - the other with Live Oak STIFFNESS Strong Hull When already Live Oak should reduce the heeling to a certain degree, following the books, the Stiffness Victory should heel much lesser than the Build Strength one, which was NOT the case: Both were heeling up to 6°... Then i decided to put a Gold Optimized Ballast on the Stiffness Victory...this should reduce the heeling to a nearly not noticeable degree but i didnt noticed any difference to the empty Build Strength Vic Nothing what should reduce heeling seems to have any noticeable effect... Do you made the same experiences??
  6. Are you really sure that those werent Pirate refit the first few days you gave them out... ??? Hmmm...when you ALL state that they were British Refit from beginning, i must be mistaken...sorry Maybe time to buy me new glasses...or a new memory card for my brain... Hahaha Shit, why in god`s name did i purchased then 4 more of them... ??? ...must be drunken at this moment Topic can get closed then
  7. Nope mates...i am 100% sure they were both Pirate Refit when i opened the 2 redeemed ships 1 hour after we got them with the new patch few weeks ago !!! Really, 100 % ! I know this because i thought when i opened the redeems: "Wow, thats exactly the fitting i had wished for" ! Few days ago, i had opened my crafting hub on Abaco and had built my first few ships with this fitting and i was so glad that especially the Endy had the Pirate Refit that i decided to sell all my Renos already build because i thought Endys with Pirate refit would be muich better for the purpose of hunting down people... Even few days later when the first Endys and Indys showed up in store in KPR, they were ALL Pirate Refit and i decided to buy 2 of each exactly for this reason !! I dont know when, but at one point, the ones in store were suddenly British Refit but i didnt noticed that my own ones had also changed (which i find odd)
  8. ...as title says, i noticed today that my redeemed Endys and Indy changed their Regional Bonus Not sure, whether its a bug or a feature and when this happened ??? I swear, when we got the free ones weeks ago, they were: Bermudar Speed PIRATE Refit !!! I even bought 2 more of both to get a full fleet because i am a fan of this Regional Bonus and wanted to use especially the 3 fast Endys for hunting down people in PvP... Then i noticed, that the ones in store were mostly Bermudar Speed BRITISH Refit !!! I didnt paid attention for this, just thinking: "Thank god, mine are Pirate Refit" and thought, the people who redeemed them later than me, got another version... But as written above, today i checked mine too again and all 6 of them had also switched Now i am asking again: BUG or FEATURE ???
  9. Thx for the answer and yes, i thought the same...but as you mentionend, sometimes you find Longs on AI ships...would be nice, whether YOUR AI ships use them too and, as asked, what overrides what: - your choice the default AI setting - or the default AI setting whatever you decides to use If the latter is true, i could spare me the time (and costs) to equip all the guns on my fleet ships with Longs (especially the chasers), so they are best in demasting enemy pursuers But as you mentionend, would be nice to get definitive answer from devs (for both questions) !!
  10. First question: Does it make sense to manually equip Fleet Ships with cannons, so they would use the type of cannons we want them to use ? Or does the AI use random ones as soon as the Fleet Ship leaves port, no matter which we had equipped ?? Second question: Are Fleet Ships slower when we equip them manually with cannons ??? Reason for asking is, because if we do, the speed penality for equipping cannons gets shown...if we dont equip cannons, there is no penality shown ...or is this penality added as soon as the "empty" Fleet ship would leave port, according to the weight of the cannons, the AI decides to equip with ?? Thanks for answering
  11. Despite all pride and enlightment on British, Dutch and US side and all desperation and disappoitment on the other side about the outcome of all those Battles, we shouldnt forget how ALL this battles got achieved: By bending the current existing rules and exploiting loopholes to an all time peak with using an even by Devs committed broken game mechanic...which was never ment to be used in such a manner !!! Lets hope, the fix comes soon...before the next War Supply Madness Round starts...and we can all calm down a bit afterwards and continue to enjoy the game again
  12. Not a bad idea mate ! +1 Dont see any loopholes atm or any flawed mechanic...could be the clue for solving the enormous issues we face curently
  13. Yeah...but testing also means sorting out flaws as soon as they are discovered by the playerbase...and not taking them for granted for months (did i mentionend Battle Screen Hiding ???) When Devs really care for their product, they close unintended loopholes and exploits discovered ASAP...and not leaning back and saying and doing nothing ! Sorry, but for what reason are we "testing" then, if their is no reaction on our "testing" ???
  14. Agree...but like to add that: War Supply Bombs should generate Hostility only to an ABSOLUTE maximum of 50% !! If the attacker reached 50% Hostility with whatever method, you cant gain anymore through using of War Supplies !! So War Supplies would be treated as an opener for Hostility to get it to 50%...the rest has to get achieved by PvE or PvP, with PvP should generate double or triple the amount of PvE ! As soon as a Hostility Bomb is dropped anywhere, everyone will get alarmed that there is happening something in this region, the nations have time to react and we get this RvR fights we all want...and maybe a Port battle on top of it
  15. Yeah...but you forgot that people had invested weeks of REAL time WORKINg in this game, relocating stuff and outposts...and will be very pissed if all this work was for nothing because some players abuse an officially broken game design to such an extent that its a shame !! Dont you think, the game gets carried by thousands of casuals, who wont believe what happened with their outpost and stuff when they logg in end of the week ??? You Pros always think, the game should be centered about hardcore players...but forget what all this will done to casuals Again, great work from the devs !! A hotfix would had been so easy to implement...but no, they decided to let it flow for whatever reason...but the playerbase wont forget and many will take consequences because they lost faith in the Devs..dont blame me, i am just mentioning what i notice in chat and many personal talks
  16. Ahh...nearly forgot: Thanks for waiting/delaying this patch so long, that Danes could hit British with 6 simultaneous attacks...all created with the even by you Devs committed broken War Supply Bomb mechanic !!! Great work I find it quite scandolous that you Guys werent not able to bring out a simple hotfix for weeks...until the situation gets so salty because of the use of it, accusation and counteraccusation that sometimes real hate broke out between the combatants, which will make coordinated efforts to improve the game in the future near to impossible ...and thats YOUR fault Devs Many British are seriously eager to see what happens the next days, when the Danes may have changed the whole landscape with this tactic...will the long awaited Hotfix apply then ??? If so, i can forecast that you will loose even more players... And no, i am not excusing for anything...i never expeienced in any game a development team caring lesser for things which turned out breaking their own game
