We used to have organized pvp with one of the US clans they bring 4 ships we bring 4 ships exact same types of ships and have pvp. Gentleman agreements, something Brit and US seem to lack.
ah, the old days,

-snip- The primarily English TS speaking nations are USA, Brits and Pirates.-Snip-
The guys over here in swede nation make sure to speak English in their servers, as to not leave people who speak only English out of the conversations. Not once have i felt like im being left out in a convo, because they make sure to speak English.
This isnt saying that theyre all american or canadian, and thats all they know, many are actually from finland, sweden, one from turkey, etc. and have THICK accents, i believe that if you just spend a bit of time with them though, that you will pick up what theyre saying with ease.

I have been seriously thinking about switching to PvP1 since the only people I have to work with in USA are NPG and FEAR. Since FEAR is helping the British and my assets are not in a position to help on the British front, I have been trying to work with NPG since my guild WATCH fell apart, but Koiz keeps kicking me from NPG teamspeak and removing my permissions, so working with NPG has been difficult.
Sgt. Barnes, I may join you over there as a Swede.
I would really like to go Spanish, but theirs not enough people to keep it afloat from constant USA attacks. Sorry Pirates, but I really want to be apart of a nation with politics, its nothing personal about you guys and that's why I never switched to Pirate.
Since all the good players in my guild went pirate, I have received much hostility from some USA players who for some reason think I am a spy. This is even after feeding information about pirate locations to USA players in NPG AND fighting pirates over the last 2 weeks since my clan dissolved. I even managed to capture a pirate Bucentaure in my constitution in a really bloody fight outside Tumbato and I also capped Squedage in an engagement before his ship blew up.

i can say one thing, i have never felt so appreciated in a nation as i have over here in pvp1 as a swede, theres no bs, you need something, you ask and you will receive. (the only thing is it's difficult to understand everyone
)As for the latency "issue" there isnt one that i can see, on pvp2 i ran around 20-50ping all times, over here on pvp1 i run about 130-150 all times, however; there is absolutely no gampeplay difference.
if u do happen to switch servers i can put a good word in for you

We pulled one flag tonight so ya'll know what port we are attacking. This is the result once they saw our fleet.
We had more out side so not all 1st rates made it out.
Though they pulled a bunch of flags and took the other ports. None of them showed up at the St Nicolas again that we showed up to before pulling the Antonio flags. I'm sorry you want fights but only when you have the largest odds.
I see no L'Ocean, ur fleet is puny

I do hope that this gets implemented, it gets boring going around with marines, who have muskets, and are trained to shoot the enemy, just to have them stand there and look pretty.

i personally think that rakings need drastic imporvement, maybe even to the point where 3 (GOOD) rakes will put a ship out, it'd be nice to see more ships foating with their colors struck rather than seeing them sink to the bottom.

scuttling.
a feature i think many would like.
were a ship to scuttle itself, maybe have it like an option on the ESC menu, then the crew would maybe setup a line of powder of a fuse in the magazine, and call all hands overbaord, the sails stay down at their cuurent percent (battle, Slow, etc.) and after the fuse bruns out, *boom*.
I cant give any references where this was used back in the time, but I'm sure it was done.

throwing this out there, but the ags guns are less then productive, why it counts as a 3rd rate, i dont know, i have major difficulty penning a Live Oak Conny past 200m the 24's pen but the 18's dont (noone say "oh your angles are off" trust me, they cant pen.) as far as i can tell, the aggies only shining ability is that it has extra crew...woopty doo. the side structure is less (i believe) than that of the conny and has a smaller broadside weight. as far as im concerned its a weak 4th.

So what youre saying here is the USA faction is so toxic and carebear that you drive away anyone who cares enough to learn to play well. Then you amd the other carebear faction team up ( wow what a shock the two biggest factions teaming up) to try and tickle fight your enemy and you lose.
After you lose you then make excuses abut why you always lose rather then try and improve your play.
Now as someone who fight pvp vs the US every day i can see why you lose and its because all you do is pve missions all day and when forced into a fight you fight vs a player like you do vs ai. All i ever see US players do is bull rush toward my ship like a mad bull and try and rage baord me. They lose every time.
If the US would acually learn to play then help thier team mates rather than drive them off you could improve because you're still the biggest faction in game.
But hey keep blaming everyone else.

i do my best to rake, run, repeat (that should be my motto ), it teds to work, unless the person youre fighting figures it out. then switch it up, i do agree that a lot of the US and BRIT do fight like theyre fighting AI, which is...depressing, to say the least.also do agree that the US "leaders" can be VERY toxic, but are still a great bunch of guys.

throwing myself into the frey of all the damn pirates in this thread, but at this point it cant be too bad.
you say that what your doing is creating PvP but it is in no way creating or helping it.
i for one have all most entirely given up fighting, what is the point of trying to fight literally 5 nations, there isnt one, and to those that say that it is the US's fault for being "a**holes" or whatever you may think, you're judging the entire nation on the actions of a few, there are probably like...45-50 active US players (maybe less maybe more), not all of whom are complete copies of CHEATOS, or Baron.
Then theres the whole, well the US did this to The rats (this being, obliterating the nation), well 1. a majority of the players that did that to the Rats, arent even playing the game anymore, and hell i think a lot of them actually went rat, idk.
I expect to be roasted or something so let it rip.
