  1. Players would organize into their own "clans" even if there were no in game clan mechanism. The issue with being just nation orientated is that not everyone in the nation has the same goals and objectives...this creates internal friction within nations that often becomes toxic. Eliminating nations and implementing clan diplomacy is the best way to allow the players to play the way they want, make alliances, and reduce toxicity.
  2. If you sink, it's probably because you put up a fight. In that case you have earned XP. Simply quitting a battle should earn you nothing. If you can't understand how that could be exploited then you are probably special. (Its ok if you are) This is the solution to the nonexistent surrender problem.
  3. 1st-2nd rate DLC. Let's just get it over with.
  4. The main issue with S woods is they are too expensive to make. There are never enough tools. Just a handful of logs will wipe out your LH. Economically it makes no sense to make your own S woods. Just break down unused DLC or play with DLC ships if you want S wood ships. I do like the idea of the shed producing S wood being time based.
  5. I think most Admirals would chose to utilize all available pvp perks when taking a ship to battle, and not extra fleet perks. You probably would not see more than 1 fleet ship being used per Admiral (outside of trading).
  6. Certainly an interesting idea. If forts/towers were manned by competent players they would be way more deadly. The only issue is most attacking fleets can't afford to spare the BR for mortar brigs, let alone Indiaman.
  7. I suggest the devs remove all un-seasoned wood options from DLC and redeemable ships since nobody should be selecting any wood types but Seasoned wood types to craft those ships.
  8. Any special cannons, longs, or carros would be welcome in a Cannon DLC.
  9. If we have ship DLC, then I don't see the problem with having Cannon DLC. Cannons are a much smaller part of the in game economy than shipbuilding is.
  10. The rattv/leopard killed the aggy.
  11. I think we need a Cannon DLC that way we can just do away with an in game economy since crafting ships is no longer really needed (there is a DLC ship for virtually everything).
  12. Would the bracket aiming thing be tuned to simply aim for the middle of the hull?
  13. I agree that the issue with crafting xp is that the LH wallet size is determined by crafting level. The easy solution would be to make the LH wallet proportional to the player's rank.
  14. Sure, some safeguards could be put into place to prevent farming. But how do you incentivise Admirals to surrender? Looks like you are back to square one.
  15. 10k dubloons is too much for the average casual player. I do not think making this idea a DLC is a good idea, the game is already moving towards becoming P2W too fast. Here is how one might set up the system to make it fair and to restrict hardcore players from abusing it: 1. Allow a maximum of 4 extra tows in a week. Initial extra tow will cost 200 dubloons. 2. Each tow that is purchased within 24 hours of the previous purchase will cost extra. First tow = 200 Second in 24 hrs = 800 Third in 24hrs = 2000 Fourth in 24hrs = 3800 Fifth in 24hrs = 6200
  16. I think players should be able to purchase an extra ship tow permit (single use) from the Admiralty for 200 dubloons. (Or whatever price the devs think is right for the economy)
  17. I'm excited for any new ships, I'm just concerned about any potential DLC 1-3rd rates because I think it would have a negative impact on RvR for major ports.
  18. That would be a good change, however, it won't change the attributes of oak that make it worse than other wood combos.
