  1. 1- Wind mechanic is unrealistic - (Could it be possible to place constant winds in some places depending the season of the year, and Wind shifts near the coasts do to temperature variation each day?) 2-Cannons visible while sailing the map, and ships hulls and sails are always in perfect condition- It kinda breaks the immersion. 3-The game has no Lore!!
  2. The anticlockwise wind shift, while I enjoy it, and understand his purpose, it's constant regularity is anti-immersive. Would it be possible to have local winds? each zone with particular wind shifts, perhaps determined by game time (example, at the afternoon, near the coast, winds tend to shift due to temperature differential), if time compression is not an issue. Adding constant winds determined by season in some areas of the map would be cool too, this could become an interesting challenge for nations at war. Having some constant winds, in specific areas, that last a few in-game months, could make trade and war more realistic, challenging, and fun. Add Meteorological reports to buy in-game and suddenly you have a new game mechanic.
  3. I love this idea. Besides is not that complicated to organize. Just establish a date, preferably a Sunday at night. You would need at leat 2 ships, one as Race committee anchored near the coast to establish a starting line, and another as the windward mark (or leeward depending the circuit). This ship at the mark, or near it (race around an island for example), is very useful if the wind changes before the race, re-positioning itself before the start. An % amount of the prize could go to them as payment. When the hour is near and those interested have arrived, call for a 10-min, 5-min (no more trespassing the line), and then 1-min countdown before announcing the start. I think the entry fee should be like 75000 - 100000. This will make the participants take the competition more seriously, not mess around or tag ships. Or you could establish an entry fee depending rank, to be fairer. Traders cutters or lynx are indeed the best for this.
  4. I would like to see more challenges, besides enemy ships, while sailing the world: Like Storms that damage your sails, giving the incentive to be aware of the weather. There could be several types of storms, some more deadly than others, and recognisable with different cloud formations. Some monster waves would be cool too. High winds may also drift you off course gradually, adding another challenge. txs for reading
