  1. Coming back after not playing for a while I realize that some things, like citadel sizes and fore/aftweight offset are much better. What it still suffers from is that I can solo any enemy fleet on legendary with a single battleship. I just go 100% tech and build reasonably fast and well armored ships and I don't have to fear any enemy shots, while my guns sink everything. I think despite somewhat agressively scraping the AI still keeps around too many outdated ships, or does not invest enough into tech.
  2. 1890 start and I think 1898 or so battle.
  3. The last game I started (new beta), I played as Japan. I decided to start in 1890, max difficulty and build only 1 ship. A couple years in the chinese declare war. I fight with my 1 ship against around 30 torpedo boats, 20 heavy cruisers and 1 battleship. I barely took any damage, while sinking most enemy ships in 1-2 salvos. I had a rangefinder (first level), tier 2 guns and some more advanced armor. This was sufficient to hit most of the time, while they hit hardly anything. Technology is very strong and the AI cannot keep up with the player.
  4. 1890 with my personal rule to never build more than 1 ship of any type.
  5. The slow speed is something that often happens, ehen a vessel is out of fuel. But this should be properly displayed in the battle.
  6. I would appreciate the naval invasion mechanic being a bit more transparent. Please allow us to see what we need to do in order to be able to start an invasion. As a second thing: Currently I also feel that major nations collapse too easily and too quickly.
  7. Some rather minor changes, but I would rather have a more polished game then new features. 1. I would like GDP growth to be a bit more transparent. Allow me to understand what is affecting it by how much. 2. GDP growth is affected by minor wars even if no combat is happening. A nation far away declaring war on you without sending ships should not tank your economy. Allow us to ignore the economy war state if we want. 3. Research becomes unbalanced. Certain research naturally goes ahead of time, other branches will lag behind. This should not happen without focuses in certain areas. 4. Enemies should not engage you if they intend to flee. I don't enjoy battles where no combat happens and both sides are just wasting time. 2 ideas: a) Communicate pre-battle that the enemy tries to avoid you and allow an option to not make the battle (these battles should also not hinder your fleet from moving. b) Allow earlier than 30 mins "end battle" if the enemy is in a fleeing state
  8. For long term research progress, should I from time to time focus technologies that are behind time, or should I avoid focuses at all? DO we know the mechanics of research speed?
  9. I like playing this game, but yesterday a campaign crashed on the main branch due to a bug and today my campain crashed in the beta branch. I hope that there will be significant amounts of bugfixing and polish before the launch as the core experience is actually quite good.
  10. I started a new campaign, played from 1890 to 1898. First Spain went bankrupt, then Britain, then Italy, then China. Then y income and money became NaN and shortly after the game ended.
  11. There are quite some outstanding issues, but overal I enjoy playing the game.
  12. I was winning every war I was in (see on the right side). All wars fought listed are victories. Naval prestige is high. Suddenly the campaign was over and I have no idea why. I also do not now why a loosing number of victory points was shown on the left as the head to head was positive all the time for every war I fought. Does anybody know what happened here?
  13. I can confirm that at least in 1.09 the Main guns not firing had very high hit chances displayed.
  14. Could it be that the number of battles is the main factor. I recon having ships ending up in inconclusive battles repedeatly and becoming veterans.
  15. If it is a performance limitation, the maybe just inverting the order in which guns are checked if they can fire (every x ticks invert), would fix the issue. Edit: easier fix. If you have to bail out from firing guns, safe which gun was checked last and continue from there next cycle.
  16. You should see a detailed list of expenses and income, could you post that? Also, do you maybe overstack a port?
  17. I think end turn times would become much more painful. Why not simply design some blueprints and the Ai starts using them once they become available? Possibly include ship designs from other players by collecting data from all players.
  18. If I max out the research slider I get techs sooner, but will I advance further and further ahead in time or will I eventually stall at a given advantage. If it is the latter how many years ahead of time will I eventually be (no focus) ?
  19. On large ships I sometimes see the guns not fire for a long time, despite being fully reloaded. Do I need more aiming apeed? How can I estimate the time it will take for a gun to fire after having reloaded?
  20. I often have the computer shut down and restart, last time I have seen this issue "CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT" as the error. I do not encounter these restarts during other activities.
  21. The firts armor has the bonus of using -80% weight when ised on belt. You loose this bonus when you upgrade.
  22. Victory points seem to be affected by the difficulty setting. On high difficulties you need to sink much more than you loose.
  23. Ok, I now got stuck not being able to leave a battle. I click on end battle, I click on leave battle, either way nothing happens I just have a dark screen. By clicking return to menue I got back to the batlte screen, all ships gone and no way to leave the scene. This version appears more broken than previous versions and the mixture of being stuck on end turn and exit battle means for me the game is rather unplayable right now and I will wait until further updates.
