I completely agree here, I would LOVE to be able to plot my own course using only a map and Bering Compass, Protractor and other tools like this.

Greetings all. I would love to see the world map keep the idea of you not really knowing exactly where you are. Instead of of being shown your location I think there should be in game map tools. Using Compass's, Protractor's and Pelorus other items of the like to draw your heading's and plot courses. That being said, Maybe not everyone enjoys plotting their coarse like I do. So maybe a setting in options could be added to Switch from Say, Being harder (Or more realistic, The way I like it) to easy course management (Showing someone where they are with a heading line added to the map with this setting) What do you think? I know from experiencing my friends playing sims not everyone has the time to learn or plot their course. They just want to play. So I am trying to look at it both ways.
