  1. what about one dura ships like the santi and vic? we dont get to keep them if we sink. just because something is unrealistic doesn't mean its bad. this is at the end of the day a game not real life. and if they do pop leave and chase them down and get closer so they can not do that again.
  2. well looks like this patch will be the nail in the coffin for me, i didn't sign up to play sailing and crew management simulator, i signed up to play a decent game about sailing warships in the 18th century
  3. 1+ for this i've met a few people from other nations who have helped me out of a tricky spot and have then gone on to accompany me hunting or as an escourt for me would be great to have been able to add them as a friend

  5. so i've been thinking about the new port battle system and i don't know if anyone else has noticed but all it's done is now create spam of 4th rates so they haven't really fixed spam of the same ship class, all they have done has removed less spam of 1st rate fleets which there is still going to be because of regional capital port battles, so my suggest is to change it again but this time instead of just having deep water ports say 5th rates to 1st or 5th to 4th change it completly so have a set limit of each ship allowed in the port for example 25 port battle 3-5 1st rates 3-5 2nd rates 3-5 3rd rates so at max you've got say 15 ship of lines not 15 1st rates 15 second rates but a good mix of ships and then also have say the same for 4th and 5th. I know some of you are gunna say its stupid and maybe over complicates things and if too many ship of the lines turn up they'll get left outside the port and will be killed/capped but Port Battles as they have stated are meant to be a big event/ national effort, and with that you have to communicate and organise your selfs to be able to take the port, not only that it prevents a boring spam of the shame class ships im pretty no one wants to deal with 25 connies 25 1st rates it just isn't fun and it's unrealistic so with this you'll see more vairation in port battle attack fleets you can't use the same tactic on other ships as you would in spam battles you've got to play it smart and be tatical when it comes to fight not just grind at each other when you've got faster ships in the mix i.e the 4th/5th rates that will be inside there. not only that but with the way port battles currently are 1st rates are now pretty much useless when it comes to port battles with the exception of regional plus its more realistic fleets in these times were made up of varrying ship classes not 25 of the biggest thing we're allowed to take in. well this is my suggestion i'll make a poll underneath to see what you guys think. TL:DR ports should be limmited to a certain number of ship classes not excluding ship of the lines {deep water} _____ moderator edit - removed poll results are: 4-yes; 7-no
  6. what he is saying is allow us to add trade ships im guessing our own ones? not hired ones. on to a fleet so we can sail a warship i.e connie 3rd rate vic as the escourt
  7. would be nice to refit ships I.E change the indiman from a trader into a fighter ship, and i know its a combat trader so what i mean is turn it in to just a combat vessel but exchanging its hold space for crew/cannons
  8. if we hired them in port does that mean we still lose crew? do i lose them if they die in battle or do they just respawn like crew
