  2. I believe we have been wanting this ability for a full year plus some. Hope it comes soon. Maybe that's what the pray button is for...to pray to the devgods for what we want added to the game
  3. The pic is to show that Brits alone, US alone, do not outnumber pirates and all those who left our nations to join BLACK and the other pirate clans. But yes, it was all 4ths for the most part and a lot of fun, even though after about a 1/4 dmg to enemy we just couldnt get any more. They have beast ships, well built., they're all Old Ironsides
  4. Someone called for a pic of numbers? This was just one PvP battle after apparently a full PB at Morant? All I know is that the Brits and US were outnumbered in both PvP battles after that PB. Plus the ZILCH and other rat clans making a ruckus in the Bahamas for the US at the same time. All I know is it was great fun in the PvP....sinking....yet again. heh. I should steal that players name SirSinksAlot
  5. The only restriction I remember seeing is the height of no more than 150. Maybe I missed other restrictions?
  6. I think taking a deck off or adding gun ports from existing ships would be much less work than designing entire new ships and working on a new dmg model....but i could be wrong
  7. I actually think Pirates should have the ability to "pirate-mod" any ship up to 4th rates. Many famous pirates modified their captured ships by removing upper decks or by adding more gun ports to slave trade ships. I think it would be an awesome feature for rats.
  8. Indeed! I wish I had this in my poll. The PMs I get suggest this also. So, I can see maybe this: ranks 1-3 getting only 1 officer (or 2) ranks 4-6 getting 2 officers (or 3) ranks 7-10 getting 3 officers (or 4) Possibly.... However, because some of these officers are in fact appointed by Admiralty to ship Captains, I think some of these officers should not be available to lower rank players. So on this, I would suggest separating these officers by Admiralty officers and non-Admiralty officers. And then we will see which are available for each rank of player. Ranks 1-3 available officer to choose from (non-Admiralty as listed in OP) Master Gunner Carpenter Surgeon Rigging Master Sailing Master Shipwright Purser/Econ Officer (maybe, or might need to be split) Ranks 4-6 (same as above plus the following Admiralty appointed Officers) Boatswain Marine Officer Purser/Econ Officer (if not for ranks 1-3 or if split) ​(other officers not yet thought of?) Ranks 7-10 Ship's Master Master & Commander (maybe?) (other officers not yet thought of?) Any suggestions are appreciated. BTW, even if this doesn't get accepted by devs for NA, it might be helpful for NA2 or another new AoS game in the future. And reviewing this list, we have to make certain some officer are available to lower rank players that will indeed help them economically, such things that will help with the cost of crew, cost of buildings, etc...Because when you first start this game, it is quit expensive in game to maintain growing and ranking.
  9. Thank you so much for silencing (with an answer) those of us in this merge debate. Please consider a server in Iceland. But for testing, I believe it to be in the best interest to have 2 servers while you keep releasing updates. There was a hint a couple months ago to a Naval Action 2...does this possibility of NA2 require NA to be a huge hit?

  11. So I suggest you get on the campaign ball to get people to switch to PvP2. Because if it happens the other way, we see that 5 ppl would join PvP1. Which mean the population would be 196. 130 people would quit and play some other game.

  13. Anyway, all I see is that the US cannot field more than 2 teams of 10-15...even with all the "carebear newbs" hanging out at Cton and crying every time they see a rat gank fleet of 3-5. (which btw many times these 'newbs' are spies trying to lure us into the rat gank fleets.) The Pirates however, are capable of fielding 20 in a PB against the Brits in Jamaica, and 20 against the US in the Bahamas, and 5-10 against the French and/or Dutch, and at least 4-6 that I've seen way out at Kidd's Harbor. So if we count this up, that's 60ish rats vs the 30ish US plus the random carebear newbs afraid to leave cton. And considering the French and Dutch have numbers in the morning more often than at night, it is obvious who has the largest active population during primetime.
  14. That one in particular has a huge flaw in its votes. Not only that, it is overloaded with voters from PvP1. Not only that, read the answers from those who play PvP2 and not the answers from those who play PvP1. Many PvP2ers did not answer that poll, as many others did not who saw what the creator was trying to force ppl into answering. Not only that...if ping does not matter to the player, or the player states they have no issue with ping on either server, then the solution is simple.... Option 1: PvP1 should merge into the PvP2 server in the US. OOoooorrrrr Option 2: all of those who say there is no difference in ping AND play both servers, should stop spreading themselves thin between the two servers and play only on PvP2. Ooooorrrr Option 3: go ahead and merge PvP2 into PvP1 in europe and see that the population grows only by these 5 ppl who call the rest of us PvP2ers liars about our wicked high ping and the wicked high lag spikes. If you choose option 3, enjoy your massive population boost of 5 players...while the rest of us change to any other game. Good day, sirs.
  15. How many on PvP1? And do you notice the difference between US morning and US primetime? You should.
  16. No nation will get strong other than the pirates. The reason being is that every time this happens that a clan loses their home base, they quit that nation and all go rat. So, soon PvP2 will be nothing but pirates...as already when you count active players on PvP2, it is the Pirate nation with far more active players than any other nation....at least during our primetime
  17. Agreed, I can say from using the Agamemnon in a huge PvP vs Bellonas, Bucentaurs, Ingermanlands and Constitutions, the Aggie is worthless, even against the Connie and even with double charge. The 24lbers worked ok for the first 2 double charge broadsides, however, every double charge broadside after that would indeed show to me as a hit and counted 314 hits, but they did nothing to remove health bars after those first two rounds. Maybe it was a bug or something, who knows, but don't bother with the Aggie. Stick with the Connie and Inger.
  18. Um are you seriously thinking that everyone in the US has such great amazingly fast service as you? Do yourself a favor and do a forum search for "server merge" and read any of them to see that you need to get more informed, especially by main forum posters.   19. So, as we enter the last week of September, and consequently the last week before a major update to the PB system, we see a huge land grab from the Pirates. Apparently their goal is to crush the Brits relentlessly for apparently a 'broken' alliance deal from a month ago. It's been a lengthy grudge that the Pirates refuse to lift. During this time there has been a major British Civil War, that has made it even easier for the Pirates to take advantage of the situation. During this, the US attempted to help their former enemy with screens, yet to no avail. I'd assume this will continue throughout this last week of PB flags. On to other news for the previous week that involve the Pirates...and the Danes. The Dutch nation continues efforts to grow their territory as well as they can, yet the Pirates and Danes keep that growth in check. Plenty of Danes and Pirates show up to retake any port the Dutch take and punish them further by taking more from the Dutch. The same story seems to apply to the French liberators, as they continue to be kept in check by the Danes. It seems a long grudge still remains from something I was not witness to. It is either that or that the Danes only like to pick on small populated nations like the French, Dutch and Swedes. For some reason, the Danes continue to impose their will in the Antilles, and refuse to fight the largest active 'nation' in PvP2: the Pirates. We all wonder what those alliance papers contain. If the 'merged' servers are in Europe, the numbers will NOT rise, because nearly every US/Asian/Aus/S American player will simply quit the game due to the massive lag spikes. If you ever read ANY of the posts about this, you would already know to not say such a thing. This is getting extremely OLD!
