We definitely need more national variety of ships. Waaayyy too many British ships in the game, and they plan to add 2 more in next patch

I like the idea, however, our left and right rudder keys are on/off switches and we are not able to set them at degrees like our yards. Perhaps this should become a control feature to have the rudder operate at degrees like the yards.

Porter was sent to the Pacific to disrupt the British and Spanish whaling industries. I'd assume he did some whaling of his own at times.

TY for the update; edited OP. Sad to hear you've jumped ship. We still see a couple SoBs on every so often. Perhaps you will make a return to PvP2 after the patch? Unless, of course, the majority of your fleet has Euro time as your primetime...

Any link that you'd like people to go to for your clan would be fine. I'm just trying to help out clans and this PvP2 server.

Looking forward to the update. Will be some great features we've been waiting for. However, I'm not so thrilled on seeing even more British HMS ships added to the game, especially when other in-game nations are lacking in ships. Variety is the spice that salted the seas.

I believe a direct response to another player's post should, in fact, be a reply on the actual post you are replying to. There is never a reason to make an entirely new topic as a reply to another topic.

Yes please...I've suggested the first part in another post and included that players are able to change the size of the port from a standard port to a regional port by player activity there (ie buying OP permits and building and upgrading the buildings). And that players are able to invest in the defenses of the port by upgrading the fortress and defensive towers, being required to help pay for the marines/soldiers in those towers, maybe even the NPC fleets guarding the port (possibly). Seeing the change in OW would be wonderful. Would love to see the impact from weather on these things also. Yes please!

After review, the only real thing that would make this forum more efficient for players is to have 2 Main Boards called Naval Action - National Wars and Piracy (one for each server), both with the National News and the Guild, Clans and Trading Companies. That alone would help tremendously, rather than having to sort through each topic looking for which server the poster is referring to.

Huge things are in the works for when the new update comes out

Last week's full map is up. The month of Sept was full of crazy, full of protests, and full of abandonment. The crazy was seeing the Pirates taking advantage of and complete control of Britain crushing them to only their capital. Britain to the Pirates, "We were friends for months, now you're taking advantage of me?" Pirates reply, "Ssshhh, yes, just let it happen," as he places his toothbrush in the holder. British protests continued the entire month long during the great British Civil War. This led to the map wipe that the Pirates enforced. Perhaps Britain will rise once again, but who will be their alliance helping them regain their previous Caribbean dominance they had just months ago? No body knows. The Colonials felt quite a bit of pressure all month long from the many numbers who abandoned their posts in the Yucatan and went rogue. First there were those who simply stated that they wanted a change of pace. It made a bit of sense, until the US noticed the loss of 5 full fleets who felt this same need to join the Pirates. It is still a topic of debate as to which "nation" has the largest active population. But every nation can feel the effects from such a mass exodus, save the Danes. And considering the inactivity between the Pirates and the Danes, it is apparent that there must be some sort of friendship between them. Only time will tell what is next in store for the PvP2 world as we all await the new PB update due this month. Here is the current tally after a massive week of PvP and PB swapping: PI - 119 v 9 ES - 5 - 0 FR - 15 v 1 GB - 4 v 1 VP - 26 ^ 4 DN - 44 - 0 SV - 1 - 0 US - 117 ^ 7 If you find any of this interesting and maybe even enticing, join us on the PvP2 server. Finally, after facing 4 Pirate Frigates in 4 different occasions (sank 2 by accident, 1 escaped, 1 sank me), I finally capture one. Much thanks to [bLACK]7Grams, who could've left the port battle, but stayed and fought to the death. And thanks to the US [NPG] fleet for including me in the PB. Indeed. This painting has to be not only one of the most famous paintings of age of sail ships, but also one of the most sad. From this we see the end of an era, and the beginning of the modern age of naval warfare. It's the defining painting that shows precisely where my interest is and is not.

I believe it would be proper for posters to edit their posts with citations of the artist and painting title. Maybe even add a description of what the paint depicts.

Not certain why this sort of response. I gave credit exactly to what you felt the need to regurgitate. except...i disagree that the AI rate of ship matters. Few of us are about to crew a fleet of high rate ships, and therefore we have cheap little ones that sink from one broadside. How they actually count, makes no sense to me. but ohwell, to each their own opinion.

The high ping that is the same as PvP1 seems to suggest it is in Europe.
