  1. did you give the enemy AI more intelligence or something? I was at 2nd bull run battle as the rebs, and the Union army straight up banged and banged at the railroad cut until they pushed up back then attacked stony ridge woods. They never did that level of sensible action before I like it
  2. In the Battle of Antietam, does the Union army automatically be double the size of the Confederate army?
  3. I think breastworks should be changed. You should just be able to put however many units you want behind them and gain the cover bonus. I think it is not good to stretch a unit over the entirety of one fortification. for example at the Sunken Road at Antietam, in real life you could put as many brigades in the road as can fit. In game, you can only put 1 brigade and then have to wait until they rout or you move them to put another one in. That's unrealistic
  4. How do you make the option to bring a supply wagon or not
  5. No, I understand how to route the wagons back to friendly lines and the hold battery fire. I mean what happens to teh actual supplies. Like on the end of battle screen it would say I captured 6375 supplies. Where do they go if I have not used them in battle? Also I do buy max supplies (25000) in camp and I also upgrade the logistics thing. But how does that work if I can't go past 25000 ammunition
  6. Why can't you bring more than one bullet wagon to the battlefield with your whole corps? In real life each division had a set of bullet wagons and the corps had some reserve. It makes it really hard to get ammunition during battle as I have to try to capture enemy wagons to do it. Also, what happens to enemy wagons you capture. For example, at Chantilly I captured 3 enemy bullet wagons. Do I automatically get that supply somewhere?
  7. I have a current campaign I am playing. With the new patch coming out and the dynamic campaign coming, will I have to start a new one or will it be integrated into my saved campaign- I haven't reached Antietam yet
  8. I was just wondering, is this game up for purchase now or is it just testers and invites?
  9. SOW gettysburg multiplayer (of which I am a member) is nothing like this. the two games are totally different
  10. I just got back into this after a hiatus (school) and even with the patch I am still having trouble. The Confederate troops are just so bad. They get shot at for 5 seconds and run away! Does anyone have any tips for stopping that? Also, with the artillery, it is as if the Union guns can see and shoot through trees. What is with that?
  11. Well what else can you be looking for? Bar shot and chain shot were used in the same situations and they did the same things. If you fired a bar shot or a chain shot more than likely some yards/sails would be coming down. That's it. It's not like grapeshot which can be used for man killing as well as hull puncturing, it's not canister, and it's not solid shot. that's all that is left
  12. You can just go read a book on naval ships of the era and find out all you need to about their ammunition
  13. Credible sources? if by that you mean something like: Treatise on Naval Armaments of the 18th century' or something, no. I got what I know from reading, same as almost everyone else. When I do read, bar shot is usually shown as being fired when the intent is demastation, and chain shot when the intent is just sail destruction. Just because a ship has chain and bar does not mean that they have too much of a different purpose. Do you have any credible sources for saying that
  14. There wasn't too much of a difference (both could be used for the same task) but it seems as if bar shot (since it was held together by a steel bar) was used when the point was to smash the wooden masts (imagine beating down a door with a crowbar) while chain shot was used when it was necessary to rip sails apart.
