  1. Great ideas, but at the moment you'd be ganked by pirates and Frenchies within minutes
  2. There's PVP and griefing. Most of the ganking that I have seen around Jamaice are from the usual suspects of griefers who just prey on noobs and defenceless targets. When more ships turn up, they leg it. I thought that they WANTED PVP?????? They have a good PVP and battle opportunity handed to them, without any wait and... they leg it... So,, tell me do they want PVP or do they just want to Gank and Grief??? Seems to me these people only want to enter PVP in overwhelming odds in their favour. What a pathetic way to PVP. This mechanic is an attempt to curb this. It may work or not.. this is Alpha. If it does not work, then something else may come up. Possibly have safe areas for learners. I would not be surprised of most of those bitching about this are gankers themselves. IF you want decent PVP then go find it, or if you want to just Gank and call it PVP, all you do is ruin somebody's game play, maybe that is what you want and how you get your kicks
  3. All I see is the Gankers bitching about this. Jamaica is where new Brit players go to learn, and they have to put up with Gankers. Most of the time you see a fast ship tagging and then the rest join in someties up to 5 -1, as soon as enough Brit ships turn up to fight them.... they run like twats. That's not fighting or PVP, that's griefing, If they were so keen on PVP why don't they stand and fight or are even numbers to frightening for them?
  4. I have only been playing a week and I do like this game, but I have moved to Central America and Panama, yet there is very little trade, or very few ships for sale. You can only buy decent ships in Jamaica (I'm British flag) Surely there should be an NPC economy for areas not well populated by players yet. I have visited ports from Sandy Bay down to Portobello, yet there is very little to sell. #t seems that the only way to trade is to move along the coast buying up stuff then teleporting back to Jamaica to sell it off, then sail aaaaalllllllll the way back, rinse and repeat. This does not encourage player migration, especially of the developers are hoping for a god economy. The simplest fix, would be for all Regional Capitals to have NPC driven trade hubs, where you can put in and sell off loot and goods and pick up ships and goods. The only thriving trade that I know of at the moment, is around Jamaica although I would assume the same would be for other National Capitals
  5. I don't understand why you have to empty a cargo ships hold when you capture it. If you don't when it gets to your outpost, the cargo is gone. Do the prize crew just chuck it overboard? Sometimes the loot is too much for my ship. It does not make sense to cross deck cargo in the middle of the sea and then lose what's left in a port
