Yesturday France purchased the flag for Port Antonio (owned by Dutch), immediatly after the Brits purchased that same flag, (the Brits are allied of the Dutch, they formerly gave that Port to them for local support & cooperation). The Brits, being geographicaly much closer to Port Antonio than the French, managed to pull the flag strictly in order to ruin the French attack. As a matter of fact, the Brits did not fight the port so it could remain Dutch. Out of diplomatic context : Stephen, in case you really recorded our first (and possibly last) conversation, please do post it in this topic as you has threatened to do, no problem with that. But to be honest, recording a conversation is reflecting a kind of twisted mind. Eric, real life historical references are totaly out of context as well as "labeled" territories. The game map is constantly changing, ports are green, then black & then yellow colors that's all. Now you want some ports to go back to green ? we will fight for that change. I guess any agreements, alliances or war declarations must be clearly stated & written publicaly in order to involve the whole faction and/or clans being part of it. Rogue clans actions & unofficial agreement are messing about communications, so let's be as clear as possible through written statements. Last, instead of childish provocations such as "gentle-ladies", you'd better designate a diplomat with whom I could discuss politely on TS. It might avoid most of those above post that are funny but not really helpful.

Hi all, Forgive my little intrusion in that topic. Just to remind some facts related to the current diplomatic situation and to take or not into consideration. Spain today's situation: - Has a defensive alliance with France & has a very friendly relationship, - Has not any alliance with Pirates, but some major spanish clans have agreed to a defensive partnership with 2 major Pirate clans. - Is at war with Great Britain - Is at war with USA - Has not any alliance or agreement with Danes, but has a friendly relationship due to commonality of enemies. - Has not any diplomatic position toward Holland & Sweeden, but open fightings due to French & Spanish defensive alliance. We really hope the diplomatic partch will come soon. Regards to all

Dear gentlemen, After the USA pefidious attack on CayoVacas a few days ago that started the war between Spain & USA, borders were preserved from any further attacks from both sides. Spain was showing a will to settle the conflict by a non-agression attitude and was indeed hoping to witness the same will from USA. USA has sadly decided to attack again our borders by trying to take Islamorada yesturday (by 16-18h server time). The 24 ships who attacked were utterly defeated and sunk for most of them. Spain is now convinced that USA is not looking for peace with its spanish neighbourg. War will carry on as they wish. Now, in case USA would like to show any respectful fighting spirit, we would appreciate the US not to hide behind the timer issues by doing the following: - Any port newly taken will be set without timer (or with negociated new timers), both nations will respect this rule. or - Both nations do not attack each other ports untill a new partch is changing the timer issue. I recommand USA to look at some other nations that are fighting as real gentlemen by setting "game-play" timers despite they deal with players from different continents. We look forward to reading your comments.

Since the XP system is limited to highest grade officer, could we imagine an implementation to upper levels with medals or/and stars levels that could be reached by merits such as: -number of sailing days or hours -number of trader hunting -number of port battles etc... these atributions would stick to player profile Some medals for crafters -number of high rank ships manufactured Each of these reached levels could come along with "Nation rewards" cash ? a ship ? gold coins ? etc...

Another idea for building or stock habilty. In same way there is today a common clan wharehouse, could we have a common clan "shipyard" where ships could be stocked only available in Capitals ? Only full durability ships could be stocked. It may ease up crafters ship building network, facilitate deployment of dedicated war fleets roles & enable players to unstock ships when not needed as long as it remains full durability.

William Livingston, Today there is no alliance between the Spanish faction & the Pirate faction but only a defensive agreement between spanish clans & pirate clans. Spanish faction was not at war with the US faction for a very long while and was rather having a good relationship thx to the excellent diplomacy work deployed by Don Gaizka. USA faction collaps on Florida and further territories was a result of a long lasting war against the Pirate faction. Today's Spanish territories are legitimately defended while the existing inter-clan agreement cannot justify the US recent agression upon any Spanish ports.

The Spanish nation cannot tolerate having its border being violated and will react relevantly to this provocation. Spain is therefore declaring war to the United States with immediat effect. When hunting trader players in open sea: The player has the option to destroy his on board materials. It's an important issue when high value materials are on board. However, to be a bit more fair from hunter point of view, the "destroy material" option could switch to off as soon as the ship is being tagged. Thank you for your comments
