  1. Ok, lots to say, how do I put this delicately.... Aphilas...... These past few weeks fighting against you has been interesting... Actually, as a result we have had some amazing PvP, the PB at Ayes was well fought, the frigate action off of little river and Cabo Canaveral; well fought along with other numerous engagements. I'd say between TDY/Swedes and you our casualties are roughly even, or slightly in your favor. But for you to attempt to openly exclaim that you wish for the best PvP is laughable at best. The securing of a deepwater port at Ayes is sound, and not under complaint. Your blockade of Charlestown with 11-20 ships for some days, and now though smaller still your players attempt to gank our small nation daily. We have lost players because you have successfully kept American faction players from playing the game. This is smart for strategy; but terrible for Naval Action. So, I say this to you, if you claim you want good PvP, go to Port-Au-Prince, otherwise do not lie to the players and say you look only for PvP. We as American faction will always fight, but when you show up in numbers that are more than what OUR ENTIRE FACTION has online, you are not looking for PvP. As for your comments on this "invis a boost" patch, this is your faliure and ONE OF THE WORST PATCHES EVER. I too have lead "gank fleets" and if you do not prepare to face a revenge fleet, this is your fault, your players have done very well with out help from mechanics. (take this as a compliment). But it eliminates the ability to counter you, and only makes for less PvP as there are no consequences to attacking. SO in short, I do not mean to call you and your clan into question, because maybe you do not know how small the U.S. Faction really is... And I have enjoyed our fights when we are even, it has been wonderful PvP win or lose, but I grow tired of watching our players quit bc they cannot leave Charleston, and as a nation cannot sustain players to provide "good PvP" as you say. I hope to see you soon in good combat, and know I only want my faction to participate in the open world. -Hater_Actual, clan leader TDY
  2. To those whom it may concern; Because of what I am reading on this forum, as a representative of the United States faction, I want to say this. THERE IS NO FORMAL AGREEMENT between the United States and Sweden. Because we have been effectively blockaded/capital locked by the Pirates and have been losing substantial player base because of said circumstance, we requested help to maintain our self determination and nuetrality. Some clans from the Swedish nation have a answered our call, they will not not be named for their own sake. I will end this with saying it is my hope that the situation is resolved soon and that the U.S. Faction, however small is able to participate in PVP/RvR for the duration of this iteration.
  3. We are a good clan, as an officer, I am posting so it can be known I am a point of contact, as well as Maxer De Gross and Jammy.

  5. I'm excited for this to be implemented and expanded upon, e.g. Consumable rations and ammunition. It adds much more depth and versatility. As crew requirements and load outs can be tweaked, smaller ships can become more prevalent again, traders will have an important role, the list goes on. I do have a few concerns though, one that it be easy to recruit new crew to replace their fallen, and two I worry how the national pool will work, seems it could be open to abuse and or block out players, but that's why NA is in alpha and I'm interested to see how it works!
  6. I guess I'll trhow my two cents in to this debate being either active PvP or in active PvP waters all the time. So far it's a mixed bag, I've seen it limit gankers to smaller ships, and I've seen it deny myself and friends to help those in need. To clarify however, I'll state as follows, ganking is wholly legitimate, attacking the enemy at their weak points and damaging their economy are all vital parts of RvR, stick true to the age of sail and keep it for a better OW experience, punishing players who are strategic and tactical in nature will damage this great game. Now, the group I'll call "true gankers", the guys I assume the devs are after, these are the ******* that exploit game mechanics to grief other players. Patch 1.5 didn't solve one of the biggest problems which is the after battle timer/invisibility. In my opinion, invisibility shouldn't exist at all, and after battle should have a one minute timer If that. I'm glad to see smaller ships coming into the mix after the third rate spam, but I think more ships and time will help, also seeing the UI as it is, I'm hoping rations will come into play at some point helping prevent units from staying on station permanently. So, I hope 1.5 is a stop gap measure until more OW elements are added, and some of the other elements are hashed out, and if it works out, no anti-gank system will be needed
  7. First off thanks to the OP for creating this thread, and to all those contributing ideas. This is currently the largest problem I've seen in Naval Action, and it completely negates most of the roles or reason for Frigate's and their captains, which ironically enough were the meat and potatoes of the navies operating at this time. As is the Port Battle mechanics and amount of SOLs turns the game into a bit of a grind for many players. Step 1, grind to Mercury for shallow port battles. Step 2, grind to 3rd rate at least for deep water port battles. Players should enjoy their time playing the middle ground and be happy to have their frigate/corevette. I don't have much that hasn't already been suggested, I suppose working on the drafts available to ports is one, and max BR sounds reasonable as well. Hope to see more posts here, so that we can see this game improve and be what we hope it to be.
