So yesterday I was sailing around in the pvp event area north of La Navasse. After a while I found a battle of 2 Pirates vs a Brit of a BR of 63. I knew that had to be an undercrewed ship, so I joined the battle and had a look. In there, I saw it was a British Mercury (2nd Lieutenant so he should have 120 crew available) that started playing on the same day. He tagged the endymion (since he's in the top left and the endymion is in the top right). Why would an undercrewed merc take on an endymion? However, I kept going in the battle to figure out what really was going on. The Merc player tried to play the 'I'm a Noob' Card by asking very basic questions. But then again he knew how to manaully turn his masts. He also 'accidentally' broadsided me. The Endymion first didn't want to fight as he saw me following him, so I turned off. However I didnt escape, since I wanted to see what would happen. In the end, the Merc approached the Endy and said he thinks he could take the Endy because he had a way bigger ship (Merc bigger than endy, yeah right lol). First the Endy didn't shoot at the Merc, but then he put about 2 broadsides into him. The Merc still had like 50% Armor remaining, yet sank fairly quickly. Guessing he took survival off. After the Endy got the kill, he surrendered pretty soon. Anyhow, I don't think that Mercury was a legit player. I also recorded the whole thing for you to see what I was talking about. I think/hope it is, haven't had another glitch so far. Will make report when I get another one. But for now it's solved :-)

okay, thanks for the replies. I've updated my gpu drivers now. In other games I haven't had any problems so far. GPU temperature should also be normal, so i hope it was due to my outdated gpu driver. thanks!

Lately i've been getting some really weird graphical bugs/glitches or whatever, here's an example: Please don't tell me that's my GPU dying because it's a relatively new one, a gtx1070 (playing on low graphics because I had just left a big battle and usually lower the graphics in those because I prefer FPS over graphics, get 90+ fps on ultra in small battles) Anyone know what the heck that might be? Some secret party mode?

Not true. You are assuming EVERYONE prefers huge SoL fights, which is simply not true. Many (like myself) prefer privateering in lower class ships, maybe frigates. Those can be a lot of fun too, as you can actually turn and it doesnt just come down to which side has the better planking mods to buff HP etc.

Hard to imagine crafting stuff without the quality steps, but we'll see. I'm looking forward to it.

A friend of mine and me were sailing around in french waters and looking for some trouble. We did find a few missions that were open (since pve missions are now open for 30 min), but to our surprise (surprise is on our side, ) we were only able to join the french side. Shouldn't we also be able to join the pirate side? Or are we not supposed to be able to do that because that's acting as some sort of protection for newer players that don't get screwed over with the new mission system that stay open for 30 minutes?

did you leave battle after your fleet ships did?

Ships built in free ports dont get any regional bonusses as they're not part of regions, right?

when someone surrenders instantly without you doing at least 5% damage (I think), you won't get the kill on him and therefore also not the ship in the end. You'd have to sail to his ship and assign crew.

I tried the retreat function of fleetships, worked for me Your fleet must have been unable to escape due to leaks or taking in water, or because it was getting shot at

The only way of getting to some sort of transaction logs is the game logs afaik (Steam/steamapps/common/Naval Action/logs/) There you can see the chatlogs (was useful for me a few times already) and also other logs, for example what you bought where and for what price. But it would be nice to have a simplified version of that ingame, indeed

Don't think that's the way the game should go, break ships down to get the BPs... Actually kinda liked the idea of those events, but how people reacted to them just wasn't how devs thought they would... Also the quantity of those BluePrints should be a little bit higher, imo.
