  1. Well you can still trade with anyone, you cant have a craft that encourages cooperation and trade if you can do everything on your own.

  6. Problem is it's a ship with no charges at all. There should not be a way to pvp where you can't loose anything and the enemy can loose alot.
  7. Got maaaany magic moments with this great game, but the one i will remember the most was during my first weeks as a pvp privateer... I was sailing near Jamaica in a Renommée, and got tagged by 3 rattlesnake players + 2 rattlesnake fleet bots. Fear was in my heart, it was one of my first "expensive" ships, so i tried to escape, but they went for my sails and it was hopeless. I sank one of them and the bots while all the rattles were focusing my sails and my crew, and after a while one of them boarded me. I fought the boarding decently (hap prep) so he decided to disengage, but he used all his remaining prep which allowed me to score an attack for the kill. I was left with one rattle, raking my stern while i had very low sails and low crew, maybe 40 but he was damaged and i managed to kill his hull with defensive moves. Unfortunately, he was able to board me before sinking... He had more crew, and marines, but i had a lot of prep. I disengaged right away and managed to survive the 4 rounds, with maybe 5 crews left in the end. I finally disengaged and his ship sunk right away.
  8. While i have doubts about the teleports changes, i also think it's worth a try. Might be more immersive, fun, and bring more open world action. After all, we are here to test ! Btw i didn't read anything about the good old - capture an npc take control of the ship and teleport desired ship(s) in any of your outposts - "feature". Will it still be an option for ship teleportation ? Still not looking forward the removal of discussion with enemies...
  9. This is a terrible idea. There's not that much toxicity nor insults when you have the right attitude. I received way more GG than insults in battles. Naval Action community is not childish ! As a lone wolf most of my social interactions in game are with the enemies, chat allowed us to salute, show respects, it allowed traders to bluff me, it allowed me to offer mercy to some opponents i didnt feel like killing, it allowed me to give and receive gameplay advices from enemies, it allowed me to have the best roleplaying sessions i've ever had in a game, to make jokes... Don't destroy this ! Please !
  10. Oh non ! J'imagine que c'est à cause d'insultes ou autre, mais ça ne représente qu'un très faible pourcentage des joueurs de NA... J'ai reçu beaucoup plus de GG que d'insultes au cours de mes aventures. Retirer le chat avec les ennemis, c'est détruire une grosse part de roleplay, l'occasion de saluer et montrer son respect à l'adversaire, de négocier pour un trader en danger (ou de bluffer), de proposer à un débutant de l'épargner... En tant que chasseur solitaire j'ai plus d'interactions sociales avec mes adversaires qu'avec mes alliés, et je me suis fait de nombreux amis chez les anglais et les pirates. Retirer cet aspect du jeu est une idée désastreuse !
  11. Well since you dont gain anything from killing someone too many ranks below yours, and since you loose fame when you are sunk, it would not be possible to farm alts (alot)

  13. Non, les niveaux de craft te donneront accès à de nouvelles blueprints, et sinon d'une manière générale pour craft un navire il te faut un niveau donné, donc même si quelqu'un te donnait toutes les BP tu devrais quand même monter ton niveau.
  14. Position to wind could be fixed and distance would depend on closest enemy position, not fight start position. Reinforcement spawning at close range after 2 or more minutes in a gamebreaker.
  15. Yes we agree on many thinks im very sure of this. Why are we fighting right now ? Because you don't adress the improvements the game needs in a very positive way. And also because i have my nerves and i dont like to receive t-shirts But i'll take the hand you offer and make peace if you want it, i share your frustration with the game problems and we shouldn't escalate like that. About the RoE, i sugested several time a full open battles system with a spawn distance depending on time of arrival. The later you join the fight the farther you spawn. It would allow big fights, give a chance to the outmatched party to attempt an escape, and the reinforced forces could try to slow the escapers.
  16. Because this is where most opponents are. There's no legimitate reason for a fleet to magically appear while i'm blind in a battle. I don't mind them joining the battle as long as their spawn distance reflects the time they took to arrive. Waiting outside in a circle with zero chance to escape ? No thanks.

I'm not trying to force you to play the way i do, go hunt in groups it's all good it's a legit part of the game, no problem. You are the one saying players should be kicked out to OW after battles, which would just force me to stop playing. There's just no way i keep on playing if i get ganked after every fight i take near kingston and mortimer town. All your argumentation is full of self victimising, with stuff like "it's my freedom to give my opinion etc, the forum crowd stomps and insults me" while all you bring are statements that your playstyle is the only valuable one and others should just shut up. While you insult others. You re not going anywhere with this. See how you call Liqui out because he likes to play solo ? If that's not a cowardly hidden insult what is it? Yes i like to play solo. I like small fights, i don't want to spend time waiting for friends. I like to be able to go out, take one fight and have a break, without letting anyone down. I like not to be on teamspeak. You insult this approach to the game ? Well there's no talking with someone like you.

  20. I don't call anyone names, and i don't like the way you attacked me with this T-shirt crap. I'm not interested in a duel in a lobby, i want the thrill and immersion of playing the "corsaire way". In a duel room i would only have mirror matchs and it would be boring. In OW i enjoy the pursuits, the challenge of tagging in a good situation, the possible 1v2, 1v3, the opportunity to rescue a friendly trader etc. I don't get that in a duel room. You want me to play in a lobby? You go play in small battles. About the realism, i'm for a balance between realism and fun, I'm not looking for a pure simulator. The counterganks after battles bring none of those. So what ? I get a lot of fights. I'm sad that the population is dropping but we won't fix this with counterganks after battles. What we need is a better ROE, a fix for hostility indeed, deleting it is a mistake imo. It should be adjusted so that it truely encourages a mix of PvE and PvP in hostility areas, a better screening system etc... And.... Combat combat combat, where are you going with this, they didnt implement craft, trade and a (too) large map for us to fight all the time. It's designed to bring us immersion, to make us feel like a ship captain. If all you want is combat all the time, what you need is a lobby based game. But that's not the point and i'm sure we share views about many aspects of the game development and i agree with some points of the OP. My problem with you is, well first the way you talk in general and to me in particular, calling people carebears if they don't share your views, in a most insulting way, and your repeated statement that the more friends you have the more fun you get. Well, no, this isn't true. There are several different ways to enjoy this game. Respect the hunters, respect the dedicated traders and crafters. I have never done that, but when i disagreed with you, YOU called me names. So much for your credibility.
  21. This is BS. NA is a multiplayer game that emulates the life of sailors blablabla etc. Ships were sailing "solo" very often. It's the way i like to play, it's part of the game design and i don't care if you don't like it. I've never been waiting, but i happened to take a break after a fight while 2 to 20 people were waiting outside, and i felt sorry for them. It was just bad game design combined with standart human behaviour. Kicking players to open see after battles is no solution. There's no reason for me to risk to be ganked after every duel i play. It would not be realistic, and it would not be a good game mechanism. Now bring constructive critiscim to the game, with ideas that can work for every playstyles the game was designed for and give up with the rants, the arrogance and the shit talks. I'm not playing solo, i'm sailing alone in a multiplayer game, i'm playing with my beloved opponents. And i'll keep playing like that so you can paint your ideas about how the game should be on your stupid t-shirt, wear it yourself and look like the fool you are.
